I don’t know whether to be happy bc KK does exceptionally against good pitchers or to be terrified that the Braves will be no-hit bc of the same.

Why did The ATL end up with Bobby Cox and Mike Woodson?Management is the answer and they have no respect for their paying and longsuffering fans. Are we under a curse or what?

JJ.. did you really just compare Box and Woodson TOGETHER…. Cox has 14 straight playoff appearences.. FIVE WS appearances… ONE WS Title… Record for ejections sticking up for his players… FOURTH in all-time victories… FIRST out of the top five managers on the all-time wins list in Winning Percentage… you are a FOOL if you think Woodson could hold the Jock of Bobbys resume… Get a clue..

Atlanta is a mediocare sport city and owners of professional sport in this city are aware of that. (Arthur Blank is not included)…Hawks, Braves and of course Thrashers with the dumpest GM of all. (DW)..sad but true…as a fan, it is frustating..year after year, the same old story…

I WILL REPEAT BOBBY COX IS THE WORST FIELD MANAGER EVER! LOOK AT TAMPA TONIGHT WITH A RUNNER ON 2ND ONE OF THE LEADER IN HOME RUNS LAST YEAR HIT A SINGLE TO LEFT TO DRIVE IN THE 1ST RUN. THE BRAVES UNDER BOBBY WOULD HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR A HOME RUN NEED A DIFFERENT TYPE OF MANAGER. GIVE BOBBY CREDIT FOR SETTING UP THE ORANIZATION UNDER TED TURNER, BUT AS A MANAGE EVEN GATSON OUTSMARTED HIM IN THE WORLD SERIES.

The Light,I agree the Braves won 14 straight div titles, but with 3 HOF pitchers and the best everyday players any manager could hope for,I think when you look at things,Woody has probably did a better job.Bobby has done very little with so much and only in The ATL would he be still managing.

here comes the same old ‘Fire Bobby Cox, terry P or frank Wren’ comments. so original. Name someone better for a 162 game season than Cox. In the HISTORY of the game there are probably three managers that are in the conversation. Currently managing, there are none that are as good as Bobby Cox.

Who is better? Joe Torre who bats Kemp in the 8th spot for most of last year? LaRussa who put the pitcher in the 8th spot and a power bat (Ludwick) in the 2 spot? Other managers maybe good for a year or two but they wear out their players (Bowa, Girardi, Valentine, do I really need to keep going)

some idiot is going to say we should trade three or four of our minor leaguers for a first basemen with an expiring contract . . . oh, we did that already. oh, wait we want to do it again?? stupid

oh better yet, someone will say . . . hey lets trade Melky, Glaus, and Chipper McLouth and misspell it to Mc Lousy, Melk dud, or something completely unoriginal.

Its not like Wren didn’t try. He did and this was the best he could do without giving away the farm.

Next we’ll see the comments on how awful KK is . . .the man has given up 2, 4, 3 runs in his last three games and lost. I’d take that from my fifth starter. He beat the Johan, Josh Johnson, Halladay, Lincecum in his first year in MLB. I don’t see why that makes him awful. H

but it is almost September so I guess its time to panic.

I want to live in a world where a pitcher giving 2, 4, 3 runs is awful . . .

KK lost 12 games last year with a sub 4 era. Is that him or is that run support??

Bobby Cox compared to Woodson??? I don’t think even Coach Woodson would appreciate or agree with that comment.

get rid of chipper, glaus, kawakami, lowe, trade for ADRIAN GONZALES., TRADE whoever in the farm system the braves will be 10 out before memorial day if something drastic is not done either bobby has lost it totally or TERRY PENDLETON IS THE WORST BATTING COACH IN THE WORLD THE BRAVES could have JESUS as there coach and they would be shut out and still no hit.

umm, dont the Braves get a percentage of tv money which is driven by us that also watch the games

doesnt the Official Site get ad dollars based on those of us that come on there and read and post about the Braves.

this IS a form of support, and even if it wasn’t people do have the right to complain about anything they want to complain about…what is this, China?

I know it stinks to watch right now, but this is just baseball folks. Every team goes through this (yes even the good ones) This is a good team and this slump will end. When they get Escobar and Nate or Mclouth get going this team will take off. As long as their are no

KK has been an above-average pitcher for us. People who judge a pitcher solely on his W/L record, know nothing about baseball.

Cox only has the ability to manage the talent that was given to him by the GM. If you don’t have the players it doesn’t matter how great a manager you are. Wren is the one that put this team together. When your biggest offseason aquisition of a “power bat” is Troy Glaus, there isn’t much hope regardless of who the manager is.

Turnip Greens – KK can’t get past the 5th inning. He not worth anywhere near what the Braves paid for him. For the size of his contract he should be more productive. I agree his ERA is decent, but he doesn’t have the stamina to last very long in his starts. He is better suited as a reliever.

Why do you keep posting stories about the Braves. This season is over and the rebuilding of Loserville is in full swing. Braves Suck, period. Not even worth discussing further. And yes, I feel better.

I’m really starting to wonder if it was smart by shipping out Frenchy, Kelly and Kotchman. They’re doing pretty good right now and we sure could use their production. Of course, they might not do any better if they were back here. Might catch the ‘Itis’ that’’s plagued the team this year.

Until the Braves add about $10-15million per year in payroll, they will not be able to seriously compete with the elite teams in the league and challenge for the playoffs on a consistant basis. Every move that was made this offseason was based on payroll constraints and not true “baseball” decisions.

I am curious but didnt the AJC have some article a few weeks ago with something along the lines of this team is getting dangerous? I am wondering maybe we got a little too proud.

Goonies….It is way too early in the season to get too proud, but it is not too early to start worrying. The Braves dug themsleves a hole last year in April & May, and even the great baseball that they played in the 2nd half couldn’t pull them out. They are doing it again this year. Wren needs to make some moves before it is too late and the season is lost.

Hi chief pitchanono hate to tell you but Nate and McLouth are one and the same person.. As long as the braves have long distance corporate ownership things ain’t gonna change. We need a local team owner who will real the newspaper, know what’s going on with the team we can scream, yell, curse etc. notthin’s gonna happen. Look at the atlanta dream and the many fights wonership has had and they still do stink. BOYCOTT THE BRAVES!!!!!!!!!!!

Do any of the Braves ever get upset? Perhaps if Cox berated a few players and leave the umps alone then maybe somebody would show some emotion.
How do you strike out 4 times, the last two on called third strikes and then calmly walk into the dugout and calmly put your helmet away? Oh, I forgot we got him because he is signed for a few years.
