Tomahawkin, man, you might as well chill. I don’t see them breaking out of this in a hurry. It’ll come slowly, but against this Carpenter, it’ll be one tough night for these hitters.
Take this for what it’s worth. The Braves just ended their half inning of the 1st without looking very good. By all accounts, the Braves should get their asses handed to them tonight because of the pitching matchup and the fact that Atlanta’s batting lineup really sucks with the exception of Prado, and even he is starting to cool down a bit. But, for some reason, I being the eternal pessimist, think that someone the Braves will pull this game out. Must be good drugs, right? Let’s see what happens.
Again, it is on the pitching. This offense is what it is. It wil get slightly better, but we better learn to win scoring 3 or 4 runs. If we don’t, we aren’t going to win a lot of games.
I have COX cable in Macon and they don’t have Peachtree TV but they generally show game on channel 11. On the guide it says they are showing the Braves game but instead they have some show selling gems on.
I didn’t say EVERYONE trashes Hoss. But it has become something of an anti-Chipper echo chamber in here of late. I go on other blogs frequently. Jeter could bat .078 for half a season and you wouldn’t find one Yankee blogger calling for his benching or retirement.
One remark like that about Chipper is one too many.
The apoplectic reactions to Chipper’s ups and downs are utterly absurd.
Oh, look at that: Chipper just walked AGAIN. Full count and Chipper sees a ball way outside from Carpenter. Didn’t offer anything he could drive. Case closed, folks.
If only we had a threat in the 6 hole to bolster McCann and Chipper.
ST. LOUIS (AP)—Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox has an idea of how much St. Louis slugger Albert Pujols should get in his next contract: $50 million a year
I’ve read where a lot of sinkerball pitcher goes through slumps because if they’re off their mark just a tad then they get hit hard. Lowe looks like he’s one of those guys.
Well, Brian from SC–I think John Hart has some insight on what’s going on around baseball. He’s a baseball insider that’s been around for years. He must of heard something from someone or more than one person that would make his say that.
And if there’s any truth at all in this comments—it’s a potential huge story.
