Proctor was dominant in a two-year stint as a set-up man with the Yankees. Unfortunately, they literally used him until his arm fell off. But, the good news with Tommy John is that you usually come back stronger when you are fully healthy. However, it usually takes a little over a year and a half from surgery before your full command and feel comes back.
Well…I can eat my words…but i still have faith in the guy…but who wouldn’t be sitting on a fastball down the middle of the plate after walking three guys.
Still 2 spots in the bullpen that noboby seems to want. I’d take Kimbrel & JoJo if I had to pick today and thats scary. Proctor, Acosta, Chavez, and Venters aren’t options IMO.
Nate was batting around .024 a few days ago. Its safe to assume he will not break camp with good overall stats. If he starts hitting again it was a successful spring for Nate.
First off Proctos is not a kid and he will be up with the Braves at some point early in the season. Nick and MFin04 try to be a little more optimistic. Proctor is way ahead of schedule he did have tommy john by the way.
Thurston just made the team. Glad we cleared up the Conrad/Thurston debate. Not much to be optimistic about with Proctor. He fell apart, 3 straight walks, all over the place, and then lucky to not get taken yard with a BP fastball down the middle.
Some of us know baseball and some of us don’t. Heyward has not looked horrible, he’s been fine it’s just baseball. Gotta remember if a player hits .350 he still makes an out 6.5 times out of 10 AB’s. And you folks who say start him in AAA because of contracts, you’ve lost your minds. If the Bravos weren’t contenders I’d say correct, but they are so it’s win now baby you never know when the window will close.
WHIP is overrated for certain guys. For certain closers or guys like Jurrjens, lots of guys get on base but don’t score. Especially with closers, you can give up 3 walks, strikeout 3, and you are good to go.

Glaus probably sucks, Heyward is a bust, McLouth still sucks but had a lucky day (blind squirrel, nut, etc), Proctor sucks, and Jeffy is the greatest RF’er alive and the braves are and idiot for trading him. Oh and, Joe Morgan sucks and should have been FIRED a long time ago.
