SuperChargers, Come On!!!

Fed up with it all

I am really fed up with hearing how bad the braves were to Smoltz and Glavine. Glavine left and went to the Mets. Nobody twisted his arm. Then he wanted to come back and the Braves gave him the chance. He blew it and didnt help out one bit. DL for him.

As for Smoltz, well the braves would have offered a contract and said as much if he could pitch, but Smoltz went on a baby rampage and jumped the gun. He signed with another club. Nobody twisted his arm and the braves didnt know if he could pitch. Were not the Yankees and as it turned out, Smoltz didnt pitch all that grand. So the braves were right. We have a team to look after, and its not about making Smoltz and Glavine happy and having them on the team to hurt the team as a whole. This is about a ball club which neither one could help. So there be it.

I would have loved to have Maddux as a pitching coach but there is nothing wrong with Roger and the job hes doing. There is no place for Maddux. As far as Glavine, why are we playing games. Hes a big headed ego and will have help any of the young arms. I think maybe it might hurt more then help.

Move on, its way past time.

Sign me BRAVES FAN, NOT PLAYER FAN.

Fed up with it all, The braves actually offered Smoltz a contract last winter but Smoltz chose to accept the Red Sox more lucrative offer. That’s what pisses me off – Smoltz claims the Braves never wanted him back, yet they offered him a contract. He chose to leave for more $, which is his right, but the negative comments are simply untrue and unwarranted.

I think it’s doing fine. In this article by Mark Bowmen, Mark says that Bmac hasn’t “revealed” any problems.

Tomahawkin I miss the construction paper days and kick ball…

Oh man…construction paper brings back some serious memories. The feel…the smell…the glue…the paper cuts…Ah, good stuff!

Kick ball’s not too bad…though we always seemed to opt for tag or hide-and-seek at our get-togethers. Well, with one friend it was baseball or just exploring in the woods–two amazingly good pass times, obviously. :)

DOB — Last week or whenever the pizza discussion was, I think you mentioned a pizza place in New York’s Greenwich Village that you’re fond of…Does that ring a bell? I’ll go back and try to find it, but I was just wondering if you knew it off the top of your head. Does anyone else have a good pizza rec for NYC? Anyone ever tried Gaslight Pizza in the Meatpacking District?

Also, does anyone have a favorite BBQ joint when you come to NYC?

I really doubt that Wren hires Terry Pendleton as the coach. If you look at his recent past moves, Wren has been unafraid to make the tough call and def. not the popular one(ie Smoltz and Glavine). Both times the correct choice. You have got to think that Wren will want to put his stamp on this team with his own coaching choice. I for one believe he has done a great job as the GM and have faith he will pick a good coach.
