SuperChargers, Come On!!!
Fed up with it all
January 17th, 20107:08 pm
I am really fed up with hearing how bad the braves were to Smoltz and Glavine. Glavine left and went to the Mets. Nobody twisted his arm. Then he wanted to come back and the Braves gave him the chance. He blew it and didnt help out one bit. DL for him.
As for Smoltz, well the braves would have offered a contract and said as much if he could pitch, but Smoltz went on a baby rampage and jumped the gun. He signed with another club. Nobody twisted his arm and the braves didnt know if he could pitch. Were not the Yankees and as it turned out, Smoltz didnt pitch all that grand. So the braves were right. We have a team to look after, and its not about making Smoltz and Glavine happy and having them on the team to hurt the team as a whole. This is about a ball club which neither one could help. So there be it.
I would have loved to have Maddux as a pitching coach but there is nothing wrong with Roger and the job hes doing. There is no place for Maddux. As far as Glavine, why are we playing games. Hes a big headed ego and will have help any of the young arms. I think maybe it might hurt more then help.
Move on, its way past time.
Sign me BRAVES FAN, NOT PLAYER FAN.
January 17th, 20107:11 pm
probably not managing. Wouldnt wanna spoil a perfect record huh?
Wish the Falcons would play like the Jets are tonite!
You had it coming to you…
Tomahawkin “Everything I’ve ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarden”
Haha…Yeah, I expect that’s when I learned how to draw…
January 17th, 20107:13 pm

January 17th, 20107:15 pm
I miss the construction paper days and kick ball…
I was king at kickball and whatever team I was on we showed out! lol, I miss the days of the old Clay-Co
January 17th, 20107:16 pm
Bank of America will be closed tomorrow, “Bank On It!’ (joking)
January 17th, 20107:18 pm
Fed up with it all, The braves actually offered Smoltz a contract last winter but Smoltz chose to accept the Red Sox more lucrative offer. That’s what pisses me off – Smoltz claims the Braves never wanted him back, yet they offered him a contract. He chose to leave for more $, which is his right, but the negative comments are simply untrue and unwarranted.
January 17th, 20107:23 pm
I think it’s doing fine. In this article by Mark Bowmen, Mark says that Bmac hasn’t “revealed” any problems.
Tomahawkin I miss the construction paper days and kick ball…
Oh man…construction paper brings back some serious memories. The feel…the smell…the glue…the paper cuts…Ah, good stuff!
Kick ball’s not too bad…though we always seemed to opt for tag or hide-and-seek at our get-togethers. Well, with one friend it was baseball or just exploring in the woods–two amazingly good pass times, obviously.
I know it isn’t an award winner or anything. But I really llike “21″….good movie.
January 17th, 20107:28 pm
21 is pretty good. Almost any movie with Kevin Spacey is worth watching.
January 17th, 20107:31 pm
R U Serious….?
Kaeding Sucks in the Postseason! Arggghhhh!
January 17th, 20107:32 pm
Actually, I think PL was here under a different name early in the game- he disappeared when things started going bad.
January 17th, 20107:33 pm
Yea..I wouldnt wanna be in Kaedings shoes right now..
Thanks for the link McF.
January 17th, 20107:36 pm
It was Kickball and then Tackle the man with the ball when I was at Point South while everone wore their 1991-1993 braves shirts…
we used to get nose-bleed seats at old Fulton Co Stad if we made the Honor Roll those were good times…!
January 17th, 20107:40 pm
January 17th, 20107:41 pm
How stupid is he for kicking the challenge flag? You need all the yards you can get right now.
January 17th, 20107:42 pm
Democats may bypass health care vote
Good job, AJC
January 17th, 20107:45 pm
Effing Kaeding cost the Chargers the game, Argh!
January 17th, 20107:46 pm
You’re welcome, Bravissimo!
Sure sounds like it…
January 17th, 20107:55 pm
Venice Jim, I just remembered to read “Pearls Before Swine”. Funny stuff! (Oh, and my sympathies.)
January 17th, 20107:56 pm
The jinx lives on. I don’t like the Jets dammit.
January 17th, 20107:57 pm
Damn it Game over in SD….
Gawd I hate New York teams!
January 17th, 20107:58 pm
Tom – glad you enjoyed it…
January 17th, 20108:08 pm
DOB — Last week or whenever the pizza discussion was, I think you mentioned a pizza place in New York’s Greenwich Village that you’re fond of…Does that ring a bell? I’ll go back and try to find it, but I was just wondering if you knew it off the top of your head. Does anyone else have a good pizza rec for NYC? Anyone ever tried Gaslight Pizza in the Meatpacking District?
Also, does anyone have a favorite BBQ joint when you come to NYC?
January 17th, 20108:11 pm
I bet DOB is tuned in to 60 minutes…Penelope’s gonna be on…
January 17th, 20108:12 pm
I really doubt that Wren hires Terry Pendleton as the coach. If you look at his recent past moves, Wren has been unafraid to make the tough call and def. not the popular one(ie Smoltz and Glavine). Both times the correct choice. You have got to think that Wren will want to put his stamp on this team with his own coaching choice. I for one believe he has done a great job as the GM and have faith he will pick a good coach.
Someone call DOB immediately! Penelope Cruz is on 60 minutes.
January 17th, 20108:22 pm
I think D.O.B. might be Chillin out to some Nelson, Poison, George Michael or some Winger
Or better yet he migh be dining in Buckhead singing to some Amy Grant and Mariah … (lol joking)
No need to call him; he’s in his living room doing his own personal version of “Pants on the Ground.”
January 17th, 20108:26 pm
Whatever happened to Nelson? They seemed so talented and they certainly had the musical pedigree, yet they faded away after only two hit songs. I wonder what my poster collection of them is worth now?
January 17th, 20108:29 pm
Pants on the ground…lol…
January 17th, 20108:30 pm
They used to play Nelson on Beavis and Butthead, That’s how I got onto them
January 17th, 20108:32 pm
What a bizarre concept – I almost want Wake to beat Duke because it will help W&M’s RPI…
January 17th, 20108:40 pm
Come on VJ, you can do it. Cheer against Duke – it’s actually fun.
January 17th, 20108:44 pm
DOB being Neil Young doing Pants On The Ground:
T, they unfortunately used to play them on MTV as well. Quite often.
January 17th, 20108:46 pm
Yeah, I know, those were the days of Old MTV!
Time to chill out to some old Queen Latifah
January 17th, 20108:47 pm
Yeah, hope DOB’s not missing this Penelope Cruz 60 Minutes special.
I don’t even think she’s that foxy usually but…well…damn…
January 17th, 20108:49 pm
I understand your infatuation with Penelope DOB…hubba hubba!
January 17th, 20108:57 pm
Someone should check to see if DOB needs resuscitation.
Steve from OH
Oh, I didn’t miss it. She’s a goddess.
January 17th, 20108:58 pm
Nelson? Like the 80’s hair band Nelson? Ugh…
January 17th, 20108:59 pm
Heath, I liked “21″ too. That’s the one with Kevin Spacey, right?
January 17th, 20109:02 pm
Venice Jim: I wish I’d known. That (Joan sighting) would have been worth DVRing.
Yeah, that is the one where the MIT kids were going to Vegas….and the old school Vegas thug was played by Fishburne.
January 17th, 20109:04 pm
The Jimmy Fallon / Neil Young impression is pretty good.
January 17th, 20109:07 pm
DOB, I saw her on a talk-show, recently. She seemed to be very intelligent. Fluent in many languages. (I hope I didn’t ruin it for you.)
January 17th, 20109:11 pm
You ever see “The Life of David Gale”? That’s good.
January 17th, 20109:12 pm
The Rickets is doing a Haiti drive and is going to match the final number at the end…
Classy, classy, classy guy.
January 17th, 20109:16 pm
” Everything I’ve ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarden ”
A Famous quote from old Beavis and Butt-head !
And a book by Robert Fulgum.
January 17th, 20109:19 pm
I am not a big hip hop music fan…but the ending of the movie Step Up 2 The Streets is pretty damn cool. Very well choreographed.
I have not seen that movie…same kind of story line as 21?
January 17th, 20109:21 pm
I understand your infatuation with Penelope DOB Bravissimo
January 17th, 20109:22 pm
And a book by Robert Fulgum. Bat
Book? what is a book?
January 17th, 20109:23 pm
If you want a good Hip Hop Movie

Sort of like me on Prado. Time will tell.
January 17th, 20109:27 pm
I was a big New York Undercover fan (at least until they pretty much went with an entirely new cast…wasn’t the same after that)
How can you not think Penelope Cruz is hot? I’m a girl and I think she’s, in DOB’s words, a goddess
Not even close. Just has Kevin Spacey in it, lol.
January 17th, 20109:28 pm
ust recognize that you are in the minority on this one

January 17th, 20109:29 pm
Nazism ( National Socialism in Germany) and Communism, are both totalitarian forms of government.
CAB should Jim be worried?
January 17th, 20109:30 pm
It was more the dancin’ than the music itself. Pretty cool moves.
How can you not think Penelope Cruz is hot? I’m a girl and I think she’s, in DOB’s words, a goddess —- cabravesfan
Keep typing, girl. Don’t spare any details.
true, not sure where you are going with that though.they approach it from opposite sides of the political spectrum.
January 17th, 20109:32 pm
New York Undercover was the S…+, Season 4 sucked however…The 1st 3 seasons were the Bomb!
January 17th, 20109:33 pm
A set of written, printed, or blank pages fastened along one side and encased between protective covers.
Something regarded as a source of knowledge or understanding.
January 17th, 20109:34 pm
truly astonishing watching the coverage of what’s going on in haiti. if you want to donate, go here:
I have a feeling VJ would have no objections…
Sorry to disappoint…maybe I’ll share with you in person some day

I thought everyone liked Michael DeLorenzo? (Eddie Torres) from what I heard he was on the Thriller video
I loved Michael Michelle (J.C.’s woman on season 1) she was bangin!
January 17th, 20109:40 pm
Strangely enough, she may think more highly of Penelope than I do…
January 17th, 20109:41 pm
Eddie was certainly nice to look at but I was always a bigger JC fan
a young Raquel Welch, jed
January 17th, 20109:42 pm
Soph – can’t really root against them, however…
January 17th, 20109:43 pm

You had better hope for an 85 year old Raquel or you’d get hurt.

….I think very highly of Penelope. She, Kate Beckinsale, Scarlett Johansson….all VERY nice.
January 17th, 20109:44 pm
Bat M you know what they say about those that don’t remember the past.
I’m sure that it’s just me being obtuse, but I’m missing Bat Masterson’s point, from his last 2 postings, also.
she’s ok when she wears her hair down PC I mean
January 17th, 20109:45 pm
I might get hurt anyway KL, she still works out
January 17th, 20109:46 pm

January 17th, 20109:47 pm
Kate & Scarlett are 2 of VJ’s girls…Scarlett is hot, but I’m not a big fan (Kate, I like)
January 17th, 20109:48 pm
Tom,no point other than extreme left, or extreme right, and they are really more complicated than that, both are forms of totalitarian government.
January 17th, 20109:49 pm
He’s also a big Yvonne Strahovski fan…can’t argue with that one
January 17th, 20109:50 pm
Tom, the book thing was a joke for nolie.
January 17th, 20109:52 pm
Kimbrel? Hyde? Vasquez?Gearrin? pretty open question KC
January 17th, 20109:53 pm
bat– i learned that years ago when i moved from the deep south to boulder colorado.
January 17th, 20109:54 pm
both are forms of totalitarian government.
now I’d say that they both are more complicated than that. which is about the only thing they have in common politically.
KC I believe the person you were thinking of was Craig Kimbrel
January 17th, 20109:55 pm
Boulder is cool, or at least it used to be. haven’t been there in 30+ years
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
