Shhh, T’Hawkin. Don’t provoke.
January 9th, 20106:57 pm
For a team that was supposedly “lucky” to get in the playoffs….the Jets look like their about to move on to the second round.
January 9th, 20106:59 pm
Lentz is like Freddie Kruger, he can’t be knocked off.
Hush yo’ mouth, T’Hawkin’. Let sleepin’ dogs lie!
January 9th, 20107:00 pm
The Appalachian mountain-region cover as much of Georgia as it does Ky. Just what are you getting at brent a.?
January 9th, 20107:01 pm
Yay, Bengals score!
January 9th, 20107:02 pm
Hell Yeah! come on Bungles!
January 9th, 20107:05 pm
Why is everyone dissing The Infamous Lentz
even though he is a cowturds fan, I like the dude, he doesn’t put up with losing…
I guess I’m the only one who play’s the Ricki Lake Role and gives him the benefit of a doubt
January 9th, 20107:08 pm
Why is watching the Bengals game like watching a braves playoff game?
This game is making me feel a mood swing!
January 9th, 20107:10 pm
I know you like to bash the Braves’ “cheap” ownership, and talk about how the Phillies and Mets are willing to “do what it takes” to win, but give it a rest. Liberty spends $90 million-plus. That’s not peanuts.
And last I checked, the Muts’ ownership has spent a boatload over the past decade and gotten bupkis. Their last WS appearance was a decade ago. And they ain’t making it this year.
The Phils, of course, have done well. But that has to do with spending money wisely and developing talent, not simply opening up the checking account.
January 9th, 20107:12 pm
even though he is a cowturds fan, I like the dude, he doesn’t put up with losing T’Hawkin
we all put up with whatever happens.our laments here notwithstanding. We accept or we quit being fans. Nothing we say here has anything to do with what happens with the Braves.
January 9th, 20107:22 pm
I want our owners to spend money to address the offense instead of being content with relying on “If’s” (Chipper and Troy Glass) and a rookie “Heyward”…
Rob in pain from (SC)
January 9th, 20107:24 pm
Ohhh Damn Ocho Cinco!!!! that was like watching a hooking homerun go foul!
January 9th, 20107:25 pm
Down 10…gotta kick the FG, right?
poor Bengal fans
January 9th, 20107:26 pm
WTF was that on That FG attempt, Boo his A..s!!!!
January 9th, 20107:27 pm
Apparently kicking a field goal is a little harder then it seems…that’s 2 inside 40 that Graham’s missed…
(Meanwhile, the look on Marvin Lewis’ face was priceless…absolutely stunned)
That is 2 relatively easy FGs he’s missed today. If he hits both, only a 6-pt game.
Man, the Bengals kicker sucks. That’s the second one he missed.
January 9th, 20107:28 pm
As an NFL kicker…the ones he missed…should have been automatically through the uprights.
I totally agree…especially the 28 yarder…
January 9th, 20107:29 pm
I had the sarcasm meter turned to “low” on that comment…should have bumped it up a few notches I think
I know how the Bengals fans feel. The Falcons had their share of kicking issues this year. Although it hurts more in the playoffs, obviously.
January 9th, 20107:33 pm
Damn these penalties are killing Cinci.
Macon Braves (RIP)
I like the dude T’Hawkin
You are in a very, very small group I would venture to guess with this one…
I feel sorry for Bengals fans!
January 9th, 20107:35 pm
I see the Hawks are sucking it up tonight too.
January 9th, 20107:39 pm
Let’s see 8pm… Dallas vs Philly, or Gladiator?….
January 9th, 20107:41 pm
Macon Braves RIP
What are you listening to this evening?
I have been Bumping some old House of Pain, TLC and old R Kelly all day, not to mention some old Flaming Lips
January 9th, 20107:42 pm
Where is RHR?
I miss venting to her on here…
January 9th, 20107:45 pm
I’m not sure T’Hawkin. Have you talked to her on FB lately?
January 9th, 20107:51 pm
Been doing some work around the house today with my MP3 player on shuffle, so I’ve been listening to a little of everything: old rap, classic rock, alternative, etc.
Been watching football this evening and trying to watch the Hawks, but their not looking very good tonight. Waiting on the Eagles and Cowgirls to start now.
January 9th, 20107:53 pm
It’s gonna be a long night for the Hawks.
No, I haven’t talked to her in a Gripp!
She posted some stuff on my wall but other than that for some reason I think she has her hands full
January 9th, 20107:56 pm
It’s time for some old Camp lo “(Luchini AKA this is it)” and some old Triple Six “(Who Run It!:)’ great pre-game sports anthems….
January 9th, 20107:59 pm
Tomahawkin………did you really think I would miss out on all the fun? Just had some things to take care of earlier today.
Are you ready for some football? Time to put a hurtin on McNappy!
January 9th, 20108:01 pm
January 9th, 20108:02 pm
alright, i cant take it anymore. here is a very quick, easy-to-understand lesson on the difference between “than” and “then”:
Unlike “then,” “than” is not related to time. “Than” is used in comparative statements.
~We learned more on the playground than we did in the classroom.
“Then” is used either as a time marker or with a sequence of events.
~Look over the study guide first, and then if you still have questions bring them up in class.
January 9th, 20108:04 pm
Lock and load. Cowboys haters can all line up and futility get your hate on while I kick back and enjoy seeing my boys advance to next weekend’s action.
Frank Robinson (Rockmart)
The cheerleaders are strapping on the helmets tonight?
January 9th, 20108:06 pm
January 9th, 20108:10 pm
Frank Robinson—Sorry, but not following. Over my head I guess.
Lets get it on! The Iggles are going to come correct tonight, “Bank On It”
January 9th, 20108:11 pm
We checked into our Knoxville hotel after driving from Atlanta. Saw a 100 or so KU fans in the lobby, next think you know, Cole Aldrich and Sherron Collins are leading the basketball team into the hotel. Turns out the Jayhawks are staying in the same Marriott, and arrived about 5 minutes after we did.
Carter – when correcting others verbiage it helps if you get the punctuation correct. You missed a couple of commas in the last example.
January 9th, 20108:12 pm
Macon – I think he meant your reference to the Eagles and Cowgirls.
This shyt is looking TOO EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 9th, 20108:13 pm
January 9th, 20108:14 pm
Illegal motion – so easy a caveman can do it! eh, paul?
January 9th, 20108:16 pm
McP–actually, i didn’t. i could see where you’d think that, but those aren’t really necessary because of the short sentences. i get it though; you think i’m being a douche. i havent said a word about it in many years of posting here. i finally just couldn’t take it anymore. think about it this way: maybe i’m helping people out. next time they send an email at work, they won’t look like imbeciles.
January 9th, 20108:18 pm
That’s all right. Eagles dodged a bullet that time. They only delayed the inevitable. The Eagles didnt stop us that drive, we stopped ourselves. We’ll work on it the next drive.
January 9th, 20108:19 pm
Oh, yeah, guess that shoulda been obvious…
That’s just how I refer to one of my least favorite teams in all of sports. I think how obnoxious so many of their fans seem to be probably has something to do with that.
January 9th, 20108:20 pm
hey paul, why dont you just hire a hooker to watch the game with you?
January 9th, 20108:21 pm
3 and out. Already getting the ball back, hopefully with good field position.
January 9th, 20108:22 pm
what makes you think that I dont already have one of my Craigslist girls over here with me right now?
January 9th, 20108:23 pm
mmmmm, maybe not
January 9th, 20108:25 pm
If Dye isn’t with a team come February, does Atlanta consider signing him if he’s cheap?
Ho Sit Down!!!
The Eagles cant stop us. Their only hope is for us to commit penalties.
Keep blitzing Philly, it’s only a matter of time before Romo beats you guys on a quick slant for a touchdown.
January 9th, 20108:27 pm
because what are the odds on
a/ meeting a woman who doesnt want to date, but just wants to have sex, and
b/ that same woman wanting to watch a 3 hour football game as well?
not happening. especially not out in san francisco.
but enjoy the hooker happy hour!
January 9th, 20108:28 pm
I agree not all of them will make it, but suppose by 2014, 2 or 3 of them do – and Tommy H is already the ace.
More important point is that this is what FW is trying to do – making sure he only has to pay the minimum for his 4 or 5 starters. Not a bad strategy. K/IP and WHIP are more important at this level than W-L. And, Kimbrell may be ready this year.
OK Carter, I am English and learned my grammar over in England, maybe there are some differences in usage on this side of the pond.
January 9th, 20108:29 pm
Good decision on not kicking the field goal both times. Pin them deep and either make Philly play conservative, or hope that they gamble and an opportunity to create a turnover will come up.
January 9th, 20108:30 pm
Steve McP – You still live in England?
January 9th, 20108:31 pm
jed……..it’s cheaper and less time consuming to just pay for sex……then it is to go on a date and “hope” that you get laid, lol.
January 9th, 20108:32 pm
Nice to put MnNappy on his A$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. 3rd and long!!!!!!!!!
January 9th, 20108:34 pm
Hey, how about we not have a conversation about prostitution tonight?
January 9th, 20108:35 pm
Or not call a black guy McNappy? Holy crap you’re crass and shallow
January 9th, 20108:36 pm
Than what should we talk about?
I like Sorostitutes better
Nova Scotia Steve -
January 9th, 20108:38 pm
Has anyone been to the Nationals new stadium??? I’m planning a trip there to see the Braves this summer…
Think it would be a great expierence in DC.
It looks like an awesome field…
Been over here for 5 years, live in the mountains of WNC.
January 9th, 20108:39 pm
Seriously, can we go one day without intentionally provoking each other and starting this nonsense?
January 9th, 20108:41 pm
I went to the Nationals stadium in 2008, nice open stadium with great views, but I thought it was a bit too much function and not much character. Much prefer Pittsburgh or Baltimore of the newer fields.
January 9th, 20108:42 pm
YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I call it? Romo beat them deep!!!!!!!!! It doesnt matter if it was a pass interference penalty.
January 9th, 20108:43 pm
January 9th, 20108:44 pm
Soph………..hey, I didnt start the hooker stuff. I’m more than content with talking Cowboys football right now.
This shyt is TOO EASYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 9th, 20108:45 pm
Can someone here me out here. When was the last time Dallas gave up any points? How many consecutive shutout quarters do we have going on right now? I can’t exactly remember. Thanks!
January 9th, 20108:46 pm
Hey Thanks Steve…
Yeah…some of those new stadiums don’t have much atmosphere…much like how much like a morgue Turner Field can seem like most times..
What a BS False Call…
Refs 7 Eagles 0
Take a seat MACHO HARRIS, lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 9th, 20108:47 pm
Great pass by #7.
January 9th, 20108:48 pm
Apparently the Eagles can go deep on the cowboys too…
Now that was a BS play. Freaking Jenkins just blows the coverage there. Lucky score.
January 9th, 20108:49 pm
Alright, all you Michael Vick fans can come out of the woodwork now.
Game On Mr Lentz!!!
January 9th, 20108:50 pm
you sound like you are in crocodile tears now…
Yeah Yeah, Game On! Partnah!
January 9th, 20108:52 pm
There’s the Tony Romo we all know and love!
LOL, gift pass interference and TD is GREAT PLAY…..but Eagles score and it’s TOTAL BS PLAY!!!
January 9th, 20108:55 pm
Macon Braves (RIP)…gift pass interference? I guess that you didnt see the defender run into the receiver without looking at the ball and knocking him down without trying to make a play on the ball.
Soph……..the call is being challenged. That call should be reversed.
Good, we dodged that bullet, now it’s time to get back to work.
January 9th, 20108:56 pm
Yup it was overturned. Merry Christmas to them.
Gotta love instant replay, lol.
No, see, when the Eagles do it it’s just luck.
January 9th, 20108:57 pm
Soph………..instead of hating on my Cowboys, why dont you jump on the bandwagon?
January 9th, 20108:58 pm
Braves Fan…at 5:14 – Unless I overlooked it, the only thing that is missing from your salary analysis is Wren’s stated intent to include all players on the 40 man roster in the budget with a 400K salary. So we are north of 90M and seemingly through spending.
I’m ok with that personally, kinda like the roster. But next year, as we obsess on this blog regarding the off season budget, it seems we gotta do better with those 40 man/buyout/incentive/insurance issues.
Even our trusty leader DOB seemed to be too optimistic for a few weeks about that 7-9M treasure chest. The Hudson insurance issue was one that many missed or could not pin down. While we were focused on using Lowe/JV salaries as a way to spend big to buy a big bat, Wren was faced with a different, more mundane challenge. And he found what he could afford, I think – potential power with some “ifs”.
I thought klaus’s earlier review of corporate/individual owner stuff was thoughtful and reasonable. I did not agree with all of it, but Bear I thought you were too critical in response.
There are, of course, examples of corporate owners spending freely (with attendance and other revenue supporting it) and examples of individual owners letting the fan base down.
I do think there is too much harsh criticism of Liberty – they are managing to a bottom line with flat/declining attendance. I am a bit worried that they will be forced to continue to hover in that 87-90M payroll range. If so, Lowe will have to go next year to free up some cash for rising stars/salaries – Prado, Esco, JJ, etc.
If Lowe has a poor 2010, we could be in a bind, forced to move someone like McLouth or Hudson for $ reasons.
I would not be surprised if Lowe is moved mid-season if Medlen shows some maturity and readiness for that #5 spot. What worries me is who is next in line to start when injuries hit.
January 9th, 20108:59 pm
My point was that the Cowgirls score with the help of a big penalty and it’s all good. The Eagles score and it was “lucky”…
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
