First of all Paul, I think I speak for everyone when I say…WHAT? That analogy was such a reach it actually made my head hurt. Second, I don’t think George Bush was a good president in for any reason. And finally, someone who routinely calls people morons, and has apparently been a sports fan for like 50 years, should know there’s no hyphen in playoffs. It’s not like it was a typo.
Wow, that analogy is still doing wonders on my equilibrium.

Jared Allen, Pat Williams, Kevin Williams etc. on fresh legs will be sheer terror. They’ll have to chip Allen with a tight end and/or a back and that will hurt their screen/short pass offense. Romo didn’t face anything like that in New Orleans.
Plus, Minnesota is 8-0 at home. 2 wins in the last 10 years. They have Favre.
You keep homering. You should. You’re a fan. I am objective. Enjoy your one win in 13 years.

The A Bomb…………..Carolina gave a good blueprint on how to play Minnesota. Dallas has a much better defense than Carolina.
This time of year, rest is overrated. The results in the “playoffs” the past few years have shown that playing on Wild Card weekend hasnt had a negative effect on a team’s chances on advancing. Philly and Arizona both played in the NFC Championship game despite having to play on the road in the Divisional Round.
Pittsburgh played 3 straight road games to win the Super Bowl in 2006. The Giants won 3 straight road games in 2007 to win the Super Bowl.
Minnesota lost 2 of their last 3 games. New Orleans lost their last 3. Dallas has won 4 straight.
Simply put, I’d take MOMENTUM and playing well over home field advantage any day of the week.

Where’s the “big bat” Frank Wren talked about getting? I too like Troy Glaus, but I can’t imagine him belting more than 15 to 20 homers and his defense will be a sharp decline from Tex,Kotchman,LaRoche, for sure.

Yeah Lentz — did you see what the Vikings did to the Giants? MOMENTUM?
In 1980, and I’m man enough to admit it, the Falcons won 11 straight games before losing to the Rams in OT in the season finale with their subs. Two weeks later, they had a 10-point lead on your Cowboys before losing.
At that point, there was NO TEAM, and I mean NO TEAM playing any better than the Falcons. They had momentum. So much for momentum.
You have a puncher’s chance if Peterson turns the ball over, or if Favre throws some picks. Romo is capable of the same as he exhibited tonight throwing that pass that was nearly called an interception. He will face MUCH MORE pressure next week. Flozell Adams’ foot speed matches up like shyt (as you say) against Jared Allen. That is undebatable. Allen is a game changer especially in Minneapolis.
Objectively, and I know you will disagree because you can’t be objective, Cowboys have their work cut out for them.

The A Bomb……….The Giants in that last game basically mailed it in. What a joke, lol. Giants finished 8-8. Gave up 40+ points to 4 straight teams to end the season.

The A Bomb……………Dude, I never said that it would be a cake walk in Minnesota. I have already admitted that it will be tough. I have a lot of respect for Brett Farve.
However, I also have faith in our ability to move the ball and put pressure on the opposing QB. If Flozell needs help blocking, we have guys who can help him. Plus, Romo is mobile. It isnt like he’s a freaking statue in the pocket, lol.
Also, let’s see how the Minnesota O-line block our own beast DeMarcus Ware. I’d take Ware over Jared Allen ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Ware will hound Farve all night long.
It should be a good game. However I’m confident that we will win and advance to the NFC Championship game.

But you know what Lentz, Minnesota is not forced to blitz like Philadelphia ALWAYS does. The slant/screen game is not as effective against them.
You’re going a little much with Ware over Allen. Ware is a terrific player. I’ll take Bryant McKinnie blocking Ware over The Motel from Hell trying to move against that animal Jared Allen.
And my point is that if Adams gets help from a RB or from an extra TE, that is fewer options for Romo as he scrambles around. I’m no Favre fan but the only thing that will help Dallas is turnovers, just like what the Falcons got giftwrapped in Week 16 last season. Peterson fumbled all over the field and we won and made the playoffs,

The A Bomb………….Dallas has more than DeMarcus Ware who can rush the QB. Anthony Spencer from the other side and Jay Ratliff up the middle can hound the QB as well.
Do you know why Dallas doesnt have to blitz (an NFL low only 4% of the time)? Because our front 4 puts intense pressure on the QB (plus we have guys we can rotate in who can put pressure on the QB).

I neither root for Minnesota OR Dallas. If it was the Falcons, OK.
Just think the Cowboys have a serious problem — Flozell Adams vs. Jared Allen.
I like Bryant McKinnie and I’m not saying Ware won’t get a sack or two but Adams and that whole offensive line has a tendency to false start. That will hurt them in key situations next week.

Steve McP: Since Maddux had more seasons with Braves (11) than with the Cubs (10), not to mention far more wins with the Braves (194) than the Cubs (133) and three Cy Young Awards with the Braves to one with the Cubs, I don’t think there’s any question he’ll go in as a Brave.
The Hall doesn’t leave it up to the players to decide anymore, haven’t seen 2001. I think Maddux would choose the Braves anyway, but Hall won’t leave that choice to him.
When Gary Carter wanted to go in as a Met — primarily because he won his only championship with them –the Hall said no. He played a lot more seasons with Montreal, so his plaque depicts him with an Expos hat. Maddux’s will depict him with a Braves cap.
And as someone else noted, Glavine is indeed eligible same year as Maddux (2013), long as Glavine doesn’t pitch again. Seems fairly certain he’s done, so count on him and Maddux making ballot debut the same year (after 2013 season), which seems pretty cool.

the wife bought a ten game package to the thrashers games this year.
on the club side. that said it was miserable. not that i dont like hockey, but it was a miserable effort from the the thrashers.
see i own a partial season ticktet package with the braves. split a seasaon with one other guy. section 105 row seven.
we have seats 1-4.

Sign in with a username and password like you do with you email…something like that. Registration requires name, age….stuff like that. Have the IT department review the request before during registration process…then once approved, just sign in AJC website. All the hard work would be on paper’s behalf.
