Romo is picking apart the Eagles defense. The Eagles, other than 1 lucky Vick pass play, are being dominated. Their defense has been on the field for virtually the whole first half.
Meanwhile, touchdown by our 3rd string running back. 14-7 Dallas.
Brandon from Warner Robins……….Dallas has had the ball virtually the whole first half. Dallas had two deep drives early get stalled by penalties. Other than a 77 yard pass by Vick for a touchdown…..the Eagles have done nothing on offense.
Dallas should be up by a lot more. Eagles are lucky to be only down by 7.
keylargo……..I see how you guys have hated on Tim Tebow. You guys vilified him just fine without me saying anything about him. I know that you guys hate on Romo because he gets a lot of press like Tebow.
Tomahawkin……….dude, I appreciate the love you’ve shown me in the past……but I’ve got to give you grief tonight. My Cowboys are in the process of putting 13 years of play-off frustration out on the Feagles tonight.
Meanwhile, again, first downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roy Williams finally has remembered how to catch the ball.
17-7. Not as good as another touchdown, but the lead is now 10 points. As long as we continue to play defense like we have (minus the Vick pass play) we should be fine.
Where everyone go? If it was 17-7 Philly, you guys would be lighting up the blog putting the hurt on me.
However, Dallas is up and no one has anything to say? Shows the true character of some of you. If Dallas was getting punished, I’m still here taking it like a man. However, after all the SHYT that some of you talked all week about how “Romo is a Homo”…………I cant get a peep from you.
talking to himself…………really classy. Like I said, if Dallas was getting punished right now, I sit here and take the verbal abuse that would surely be headed my way.
However, you have to go there.
Look, all week, I had to deal with “Romo is a Homo” and “Romo cant win a play-off game” and “Dallas hasnt won a play-off game in 13 years” and “Romo will choke”, etc.
Paul Dentz—It has less to do with the Cowboy game and more to do with your presence that is killing this board. Guess it’s too much to ask for us not to see you with a post EVERY freakin minute… Your act is very old and very tired. Do you really think that the board would be this quiet if Dallas was losing 24-7? Keep it real, ok?
Brandon from Warner Robins……..Time isnt the issue (except that Dallas is killing Philly in time of possession). It’s the fact that the Philly defense cant stop Dallas’ offense.
Meanwhile ANOTHER FUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dallas has a chance to get more points before halftime. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
keylargo……….Dude I have as much right to be here as anyone. I have to listen to you guys talk about stupid guitars and lame as musicians. Sports (yes that includes football) are topics of discussion that are allowed.

But no Paul, it’s not spin….you are insufferable. Sadly, your presence here is turning what was a great blog into a much less enjoyable place. I think I’ll hit my blabberer ignore button now so I don’t feel the urge to leave quite so much.

I see that I won’t be missing anything if I go back to hitting the books. Later.
this would really make my stomach turn. From ESPN.com rumor mill
For years, John Smoltz was a thorn in the side of the New York Mets. Now the Mets may be trying to bring the long-time pitcher for the NL East rival Atlanta Braves to Queens.
The New York Daily News reports that Smoltz, who pitched for Boston and St. Louis after two decades with the Braves, is among the group of free agent pitchers the Mets are considering.
If Tom Glavine, another veteran of the Tomahawk Chop, can pitch for the Mets, why not Smoltz?
The Daily News report says Doug Davis, Jon Garland and Joel Pineiro also are on the Mets’ radar.
Macon Braves (RIP)……….I’m gloating right now. Dallas being up 24-7 gives me EVERY RIGHT to sing their praises.
You was one of those who was talking shyt last week about Romo and the Cowboys. Earlier tonight you was talking trash when the Eagles tied it up 7-7.
So save it for someone weak minded enough to fall for it. I’m going to savor this soon to be victory and look forward to facing a tough Minnesota team in Minnesota next week.
If ND holds on to beat WVU it will end up being one of the most crazy weekends for upsets in college basketball. And that is with games yet to be played tomorrow.
brian……..John Smotz made it clear last year that he was all about getting paid (nothing wrong with that, just stating a reality). If the Mets offer him the most money, he’s going to sign with them. It’s a no brainer and not surprising.
Brandon from Warner Robins…………Philly has the offense to score 3 touchdowns. However can their defense stop the Cowboys’ offense? That’s the problem (along with protecting McNappy and not turning the ball over).
Halftime, I need to fix me something to eat real quick. Now is as good a time as any to give you guys a breather, lol.
Dentz—Go find where I talked ANY trash about Romo or the Cowgirls last week. You’ve got me mixed with someone else there guy. I haven’t been involved in any Romo talk this week because I couldn’t give a crap less about the Cowgirls. Like I said earlier, they are one of my least favorite teams in sports so I don’t waste my time following them.
And how is picking on you for calling the Eagles touchdown “lucky” talking trash about the game? I don’t give a crap about the outcome, I’m watching the game because I’m a football fan. You can act like “everyone on here” has been giving you mess about Romo all week if you want, but most on here couldn’t give a crap less about Romo.
That was all sarcasm in my last post. Yes, PHilly has the offense to strike quick and at a furious pace. But I don’t expect it to happen. From the little I’ve watched Dallas’ defense is looking sharp.

And with your actions and behavior, you’ll be savoring the victory alone – unless you choose to pay someone.
I agree with you Nova Scotia. I think the Braves roster is good, with the potential to be really good. Certainly a lot better roster than it was two years ago with the pitching staff being vastly improved from a couple of years ago.
Register—-You’re right, it would be an improvement. It’s really sad how the presence of one……whatever you want to call him….has brought the experience on such a great blog down as much as it has. I’ve really got to keep that ignore button working properly so I can get back to enjoying being here as much as I used to.
Brutal day for the ranked teams against unranked opponents. #3 and #6 barely escaped. Maybe a blessing for DOB that KU didn’t play today. Just one of those days.
This is about a 5 minute clip. She is mostly talking about the game and the cats in general, but her grad school comment was about things that have been keeping her from comign to Lexington for more games….
Brandon from Warner Robins………I have a lot of love for Brett Farve. I have nothing bad to say about him. I have said all along that Tony Romo is a young Bret Farve.
Back in the early 90’s, when Dallas was in the midst of winning 3 Super Bowls in 4 years, Green Bay lost to Dallas all 3 years in those Super Bowl years. People back then said that Bret Farve was a choker in the play-offs.
I see no reason why Tony Romo cant go out and prove the same critics wrong.
Going into Minnesota next week will be much tougher. However, Dallas is playing well enough to fight through the home crowd advantage that Minnesota will have.
It’s going to be a good game next week. Remember, Minnesota has to stop our potent offense as well.
Nova Scotia Steve -……the only thing I would change about your 9:52pm post would be substituting Brooks Conrad with the Joe Thurston kid that we signed who played with St. Louis last year.
marko:people dont like what you like and contrary to popular belief some of us can do this interesting thing called multitask and follow more than one sport at a time
I understand your comparisons of Brett and Tony. They do resemble one another in terms of QB style. But thats it. The comparison on any other level is a bit premature. Brett has accomplished so much in his illustrious career. Tony will be winning his first playoff game tonight
Backpack – Ipod – Leather Pants, Hahaha now that’s funny. Not as bad as I had pictured. Speedos and sandals with wrap around sunglasses.
The Braves rotation is just fine and the bench can be pieced together for a win. We need players that can put the ball in play and not just swing for the fences. If we can stop leaving so many players on base it could give us more wins.
I don’t care where John Smoltz ends up. It was he that left the Braves for greener pastures. When Boston cut him I was glad and now that the Cardinals are not resigning him I am also glad.
AJC has posted pictures of players who could possibly be signed by the Braves on several days. I would like to see pictures of who we did sign on the front. Speculations are not news it is just like MLB rumors.
I also wish that there was a hide button or each blogger could post a block on their log-in on the hidden blogger. It may just be me but I would not want to go to a persons domain who has expressed that I am not a welcomed participant. That seems so strange for human nature.
Brandon from Warner Robins ………..that is why I compare Tony Romo to a “young Bret Farve”. I didnt say that he “was” or has accomplished what Farve has accomplished yet.
Still, their style of play and knack of turning a busted play into a big gain is unmistakable (along with their shared ability to force a throw that results in an interception).
It’s just nice to finally see Romo get that “not winning a play-off game” monkey off his back.

It was a good play by the Eagles, but not a deep throw like you said.

The bench looks really good, many utility players provide cover in many positions in the event of injuries/resting starters.
Has Norton formally retired yet?

Paul,
I understand your comparisons of Brett and Tony.

That seems so strange for human nature.

hmmm I forgot about that sign…
It’s almost like for the bullpen…you never hear Scott Proctor’s name mentioned.
I believe we’ll see this guy on the team once he’s ready and gets some innings in AAA or AA.
And I think he’ll be a nice addition.

Why not?
Why?, Because of at least 4 reasons:
1. It’s basketball
2. It’s college
3. It’s not march
4. NFL is in its prime
