if you are so high and mighty and loyal to your company what in the hell were you doing applying for other jobs?

There are numerous professions out there in which other companies try to recruit people over. Doesn’t mean that there aren’t people out there applying for other jobs (far from it, LOL!), but it’s not uncommon for those kinds of things to happen.

Bill-”Jed, Tebow knows the Lord don’t win games so he is not forsaken. Tebow just use every means to let people know what he believes. Making fun shows you’re a non-believer…which is your right so don’t knock his right.”

Are you saying Jesus Christ can’t win a football game? Just kidding. I would put myself in the non-believer category, but I still respect the hell out of Tebow for both his physical abilities and his faith. Gotta respect a kid that age who is that dedicated and sincere.

Salty I wasnt talking about neccesary the past couple of years. He was good with Sheffield, Javy, Vinny Castillo, and some others. He even did well with Andruw in the offseason before the 05 season, but then Andruw just completely stopped listening to him and decided he only needed to pull the ball. However, you can disagree, but thats why I think he is ok with veterans. That being said I still wish they would get a different hitting coach.

I’m not…

I’m old-school in that I like to see it and I still (as naive as it may be, I admit) believe in it to an extent. I think it’s a two-way street myself, and that if your company shows you loyalty you’d do well to do so in return, but there’s no shame in bettering your own situation. It’s not like there’s a shortage of job applicants these days or anything.

A.C. Green waited until after his NBA career was over with before he got married. I remember Charles Barkley on the TNT pregame show, when Ernie Johnson announced that A.C. Green had gotten married, said “Hey, A.C., was the wait worth it?”, lol.

Hey, as I said I myself am not a believer. Honestly, I would have no problem with that either. Fact is, when I hear someone spouting off their religious beliefs I view them as a little naive and delusional. But I don’t begrudge them the right to believe what they choose to believe (see previous disclaimer regarding blown up sh!t and people). Fact is, I don’t know if there is a god or aliens or if global warming really exists. So just because I don’t believe in something doesn’t mean I’m right and they are wrong. I guess the reason why I respect that in Tebow is that most kids his age are getting arrested, throwing temper tantrums, or getting noticed on Facebook doing all sorts of nefarious things. What’s up RichBrave? The Bay move is OK. It appears Minaya played it pretty well. They still need a #2 pitcher which I don’t see happening at this point. I’m not heartbroken they passed on Lackey. I just don’t think he was a good fit at that cost. The Mets need a lot more from him than the Red Sox do.

Eric, I will say that it was hard as hell finding my first job after I graduated. Begged and begged, did so many interviews, and suffered many rejections. But after I got that first job, I’ve never had to interview or apply for another job, and I’ve changed jobs 4 times now in the last 10 years. They get offered. You build relationships with people you work with and against, and they try to bring you over to what they’re doing. The loyalty that gets built for me is never to my employer, but usually to my colleagues that I go against everyday, even if they are the enemy in the given situation. You can kick each other’s arses all day, then go out and have a beer with them at the end of the day, and laugh and boast about how badly you kicked each other’s arse.. Those relationships lead to business opportunities down the road. Now that only really benefits me within the limited field of the profession I practice within, No one from other fields even knows who I am or the quality of work I do, and wouldn’t offer me a job, or even let me into a room to do an interview for a job if I applied …. well, not unless one of my colleagues asked them to.

Nah, not really. Just wishin’ and hopin’ knowing a true ML bat is still needed in the middle of the line-up in ATLANTA especially since VASQUEZ our security blanket is in N.Y. I don’t know if you can enjoy his pitching in the BRONX, but I would go see him based upon last year’s BRAVES season. I think his being in a comfort zone in ATLANTA allowed him to relax and concentrate better. Maybe he’s matured, and in his second time around, will pitch up to his ability as he did last year here. I hope so. Seems to be a good kid.

We got a rising talent however in VIZCAINO if the pundits can be believed. I’m sure of the potential if he was coveted by BRAVES management. They seem to know players who should thrive in the ATLANTA system. I’m guessing he will be plugged in about the time LOWE’s contract is up. If DEREK can hold up that is.

uga-brave I’m not deterred. it was a good signing but they need pitching. otherwise I’m left to hope Perez and Maine can get back to their 15 win level again. I certainly expect a better year this season assuming better health.
