I got more lives than Morris the freaking cat.
Lentz Is God

What Jurrjens4NLCY,say something.
December 20th, 200911:44 pm
Jurrjens4NLCY………Hopefully something will happen this week with the Lowe situation. I want to see how the blog reacts to the terms of any trade involving Derek Lowe. It should be interesting.

what one time for that foolishness wasn’t enough? sigh
Lowe should go soon, maybe before January. I think Wren will sign Nady and LaRoche

December 20th, 2009
If a lion attacked you….would you attack back? You know…twice as hard?
Don’t answer… rhetorical.
That is funny.
Jurrjens4NLCY………now that was funny.
Did you ever see ‘Pulp Fiction’ when Eric Stoltz’s skanky girlfriend asked Uma Thurman to “say something” after John Travolta revived her from her overdose when he stuck her with that big A$$ needle…….and she said, “something”?
December 20th, 200911:47 pm
Lentz’s obsession with Derek Lowe is not without precedent. It started with his outright hatred of Jeff Francoeur. After JF was traded to the Mets and he got his first hit against the Braves, Lentz went into a frenzy and posted FIVE times in NINE minutes almost the exact same thing about a “looping hit”. Lentz is one sick b!tch as you can see in the post right after the hit.
July 11th, 2009
He really hit the crap out of that one, lol. Looping single to right field.
July 11th, 2009
He got lucky on that hit…….the pitcher jammed him and he looped it to right field, right in between the first baseman and right fielder.
July 11th, 2009
You guys are too funny. Francoeur gets a looping hit after getting jammed……and some of you want to jump on the “Jeff Francoeur jock sniffing” bandwagon.
July 11th, 2009
The Reds pitcher isnt getting anyone out. Bases loaded, 1 out, 3-0 Mets. Francoeur’s looping hit was the weakest hit ball by the Mets so far.
July 11th, 2009
Plate Appearance………..you are “a day late and a dollar short” with your “update”. I’m watching the game on Direct TV’s MLB Extra Innings package. Francoeur was jammed inside and got lucky with that looping hit that fell in between the first baseman and right fielder
December 20th, 200911:48 pm
I very much dislike Pulp Fiction because I very much dislike Quintin T.
December 20th, 200911:49 pm
This is a place of love now.
December 20th, 200911:53 pm
keylargo………..my “obsession” is to see the Braves put the best team out there that will help them compete with a championship.
I didnt “hate” Jeff Francoeur. I hated how much he sucked for us his last year and a half.
Brave's Next Power Hitter (?)

IDIOT!!MORON!!IMBECILE!!! I NOW KNOW THAT YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO BREATH AND WALK AT THE SAMe TIME. ONLY A TOTAL RETARD WOULD HATE QT. I SAY AGAIN, IDIOT!!
Sorry Jurrjens, I was researching. My research reveals major illness.
December 20th, 200911:56 pm
Jurrjens4NLCY….damn dude, I dig Quentin Tarantino. Pulp Fiction was great.
Did you ever see Reservoir Dogs? Another fantastic film.
THIS IS NOW A PLACE OF LOVE!
December 20th, 200911:57 pm
Seriously, how could anyone dislike Pulp Fiction?
nolie………I guess that you’ll get a free pass for calling Jurrjens and idiot and a moron. Not surprised.
December 20th, 200911:58 pm
I ♥ Tarantino flix.
December 21st, 200912:00 am
I guess that you’ll get a free pass for calling Jurrjens and idiot and a moron PL
“just telling it like I see it” Paul, though now that I know you agree on his movies I am seriously gonna hafta rethink my thoughts on what I think I should think about QT.
I’m amazed nothing has leaked out about Lowe’s destination since Lackey and Halladay have new homes. I have full faith that Wren has a couple of options in front of him and he’s deciding on them. Important couple of weeks coming up…Can’t wait
December 21st, 200912:01 am
Plus never seen Pulp Fiction in full..
Pulp Fiction was a awful, awful movie. Uma Thurman is just a bad actress and the storyline that pretty lame.
December 21st, 200912:03 am
David O’brien………kind of hard to hate one of the best films of the past 20 years. I love Samuel Jackson’s character (Jules). I’ve made it obvious how I feel about religion in the past. However, the scene where he quotes from the book Ezekiel in the Old Testament before he shoots ‘Brett’ in the 2nd scene of the movie is priceless.
Overall great film. I can pretty much quote the whole movie. One of the greatest collection of actors ever assembled for a film.
Jurrjens: Have you ever met anyone who has a similar opinion as you about Pulp Fiction? If so, have you met two such people?
PL, I say this with all sincerity. I would not want a Championship at the price of your hatred, ranting and overall disrespect of all things. If you had ever played team sports, you would never make the derogatory remarks about players and revel in their misfortune.
December 21st, 200912:04 am
It was just too complicated for YOUR IMMATURE TEENAGE IDIOT mind to comprehend, what with all the time jumps. Or maybe you didn’t realize they were time jumps and that caused your problem.
Jurrjens4NLCY……….dude, you have to watch the movie in its entirety. I cant see how you didnt like it.
December 21st, 200912:05 am
I don’t think so, although I don’t really go around and say, “Hi, my name is Kris, how do you feel about Pulp Fiction.”
I do know people that share my hate for QT, though
I’m not really having as much fun here as Paul seems to have when he goes off insulting everybody. I guess I’m too much of a MORON IDIOT myself to get it.
December 21st, 200912:06 am
I understood the time jumps. I did like the part with Christopher Walken though.
“Seriously, how could anyone dislike Pulp Fiction”
That movie was even better the second time I watched it when I figured out the weird timelines.Still just as good today.
DOB, you like a Damon & Nady signings for the Braves, or you think they could probably do a little better than that?
I saw PF in full
December 21st, 200912:07 am
I do know people that share my hate for QT, though JJ
seriously all kidding aside why do you hate QT?
December 21st, 200912:08 am
QT is a lot like Dennis Leary, in that he trys to make up incoherent crap that no one understands to make himself feel smarter.
December 21st, 200912:10 am
This is a hate free environment!
n that he trys to make up incoherent crap that no one understands to make himself feel smarter. JJ
ok. I don’t agree that it’s incoherent, but if you do think that I still don’t understand such a strong averse emotion just for that reason. oh well
December 21st, 200912:11 am
Whoa. The blog went bananas. Everyone. Bananas.
Jurrjens: Would it be too much to ask for you to stop with the woeful film criticism? It’s a bit embarrassing.
December 21st, 200912:12 am
I guess I dislike QT because I’ve wasted moments of my life watching him.
Dennis Leary makes himself look smart? Wait. Are we talking about the same guy?
This is a hate free environment! JJ
are you off your meds again? Is that what tonight has been all about? you been more like tri-polar than bi-polar so far this evening
December 21st, 200912:14 am
I guess that’s my problem, I like Leary as an actor too.
By the way, that is certainly the first time I’ve ever heard Tarantino compared to Denis Leary. I mean, talk about out of left field.
What did you think of Kill Bill?
Yea, that’s fine, I didn’t mean to bring it up. Although I don’t know how it’s embarrassing. I think your the one who’s crazy, pal.
December 21st, 200912:15 am
Also, I think Leary is a mostly a blog fav here, no? If no other reason than Rescue Me, right?
I like the first Kill Bill, but I was really young when I saw it in theaters.
December 21st, 200912:16 am
Ooops! Ooops! Oops! I meant Dennis Miller
OMG, I’m so stupid.
but I was really young when I saw it in theaters JJ
and how is that any different than right now?
December 21st, 200912:17 am
OMG I’m really stupid.
Why am I debating the merits of Tarantino with a kid whose favorite movie of the past five years is probably … well, what is it, Jurrjens? And be honest.
December 21st, 200912:18 am
Heath…..I loved Leary in ‘The Ref’ with Kevin Spacey…..as well as his stand up comedy albums. He was pretty good in ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ with Pierce Brosnam and Rene Russo.
You mean Dennis Miller and you said Denis Leary? You confused those two comedians?
December 21st, 200912:19 am
If no other reason than Rescue Me, right? Heath
I really liked the movie The Ref , and he did a short half hour comedy about cops called The Job which was hilarious. Some of the same actors who are in Rescue Me.
December 21st, 200912:20 am
Probably Old School
December 21st, 200912:21 am
Loved Denis Leary in ‘The Ref’.
Nolie, wasn’t The Job great? Hated that it got cancelled so quickly. However, Rescue Me is even better.
December 21st, 200912:22 am
Under-rated movie of the last 5 years….
If you like Leary, The Job is available on 4 dvds from NetFlix, just 18 episodes. any Rescue Me fan would probably like it.
…also loved Forgetting Sarah Marshal
That is on TV right now… lol.
December 21st, 200912:23 am
nolie…………it should be interesting to see what happens in the next season of ‘Rescue Me’. Uncle Teddy “went the fcuk off” in the last episode.
What’s the QT piece of crap movie where all those girls are driving in a car?
It was then when I realized I hate QT
I also like V for Vendetta, that was a great movie.
“…he trys to make up incoherent crap that no one understands to make himself feel smarter.” — JJ
Listen, Random is sometimes way out there, but he is still one of my favorites, damn it! (it’s been nice knowing y’all)
December 21st, 200912:24 am
Really loved Gran Torino too.
DOB yeah Rescue Me is better and even darker.
December 21st, 200912:25 am
Oh…. can’t forget The Prestige.
im not going to lie…
No Cure for Cancer is one of the funniest stand-ups of all time. i could put it on par with Raw… its that funny.
And I know DOB will agree…
December 21st, 200912:26 am
I think it was Grindhouse, MAN that sUUUUUcked!
December 21st, 200912:27 am
A realistic trade for Lowe:
Kei Igawa and 2 minor leaguers for Lowe.
Igawa has 2 years and $4MM a year left on his deal.
Not a great haul but remember just being REALISTIC!
I liked Gran Torino too, but he has directed a few that I like more. Mystic, Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby come right to mind.
Heath, Blood Diamond was outstanding. But I’m not sure I’d call it underrated. I mean, it received multiple Oscar nominations, including a Best Actor nomination for DiCaprio.
And you know I agree on Slumdog — I said many times that it was my favorite movie last year in what was a great year for movies. Just bought the DVD for my sister for Christmas, by the way (she doesn’t read the blog much, I’m fairly sure. And even if she did, tonight’s dialogue would have driven her away for a while anyway).
December 21st, 200912:28 am
Slumdog Millionaire Heath
Dave might, but I won’t.
BraveMan……the ‘No Cure for Cancer’ was funny. I loved the end of the album where he was saying all the people that should be forgiven for their transgressions. Then he said “except O.J. Fcuk you O.J. I hope that your kids pull a Melendez on you.”
December 21st, 200912:29 am
Haven’t seen Slumdog, was it good?
Don’t watch a lot of movies – I’m a TV and theatre guy
December 21st, 200912:31 am
I think it was Grindhouse, MAN that sUUUUUcked! JJ
it was a pair of movies that he and Rodriguez directed as a homage to old 50s drive In movie B flicks. They both had their good points, but it wasn’t really a typical QT movie by any means. I can see someone not really digging that especially without having lived the cultural perion it was having fun with. His worst movie IMO.
December 21st, 200912:33 am
should be “one of a pair of movies”
I think that everyone of those characters were played so well in Blood Diamond. DiCaprio has come a long way since Growing Pains and Titanic… His last half dozen movies…he’s done very well. He’s moving to the top of my list of favorite actors.
Regarding Blood Diamond…what I meant was that I doubt many people would put it in their top 5…especialy on this blog.
December 21st, 200912:36 am
Blood Diamond was a very good movie
December 21st, 200912:37 am
Best movie in the past 5 years might just be “The Hangover”
“I didn’t know they gave out rings in the Holocaust”
Oh….and if I was asked which movie would be my all-time favorite…. not sure I could ever give one. I’m only 29 so my list is not as long as others. Maybe Gladiator? I dunno…. to hard to pick just one.
And Roodge Owns
December 21st, 200912:40 am
Quentin gets on my nerves quite a bit. But it’s hard to dislike Pulp Fiction. It’s hard to think now how different it was (on top of just being good). My friend called me on the phone after he saw it and was like “and… you won’t believe it… they’re on their way to kill these dudes, and they’re talking about hamburgers. Freaking HAMburgers.”
That wouldn’t raise an eyebrow now. But nobody (that I know of, on a big market level) had done gangsters THAT kind of cool before.
And Jackie Brown is almost my favorite movie period. But in the words of Mr. Blue, “after [that] … I tuned out.”
I can understand the distaste for QT. It does eventually wear thin, and sometimes he seems too gross. And his interviews. Lord. His mannerisms. Cool out, dude. Develop a scrap of swagger. You can invent calm people. Be one for a minute. I mean, Scorsese has the same kind of energy, but he keeps it so chill. Well, all this is personal.
Kill Bill sucks. There, that’s detached enough.
December 21st, 200912:41 am
I dunno…. to hard to pick just one Heath
and the older you get and the more of them you watch, the harder it will probably get. I must have a dozen depending on my mood at the time
And even if she did, tonight’s dialogue would have driven her away for a while anyway).
Once again DAVID, right on the money. DAVE we need news. Don’t read this marc, my caps may hurt your eyes.
December 21st, 200912:42 am
And Roodge Owns -
Didn’t like Kill Bill Either… movies like that just don’t interest me.
December 21st, 200912:43 am
I continue to enjoy MICHAEL CLAYTON.
Just to show you how all over the place I am… I loved Backdraft too.
December 21st, 200912:46 am
I’m going to bed folks, After I find a late night snake, any ideas?
Goodnight yall have a pleasant tomorrow.
One of my favorite QT movies is True Romance. Tony Scott directed but Quentin wrote it.
Did you like RESERVOIR DOGS?
December 21st, 200912:47 am
Wasn’t Jurrjens the guy who was talking about how bad Fight Club was a few days ago? Dude, I mean, I don’t begrudge anybody an opinion, but to say that Pulp Fiction isn’t a good movie is just … wow – that’s all I can come up with …
The Hangover is the best movie of the past 5 years? I can name five better without even thinking twice — No Country For Old Men, The Dark Knight, The Prestige, The Departed and oh … Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind … the Hangover? hahahaha
December 21st, 200912:49 am
Ditto on The Prestige.
December 21st, 200912:50 am
I loved Backdraft too. Heath
I liked it too. I will watch almost anything and like most of it to one degree or another.
My faves are westerns, screwball comedies and film noir…all of which goes to show my age.
But hey I’m ecology minded….older than dirt and dumber than a pile of rocks.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
