DOB, it’s been a while. I trust you’ve been keeping up with Sons of Anarchy? What a great show.

What about Brandon Phillips as the right handed bat for the middle of the order? We could either package Prado in a deal for him, or we could keep Prado and move him to first base. Just a thought I had.

I don’t know if he is your hero or what, but he stunk away from Texas. I’d rather have someone I felt sure would hit better than his .714 OBP away from a hitter’s paradise. Let him DH in the AL. For his sake it should probably be in another hitter’s park.

we are going to put a package together that includes Prado and others for a player who has a career OPS 50 points lower than Martin has? That makes a lot of sense.

then tanking in one of the most important games of the entire season, well

Wait. 2-for-5 with a 2B, a HR, and a walk is “tanking”? In that case, give me the guy and I’ll buy the tequila, LOL.

The guy might be immature and make bad decisions (then again, I don’t know his wife; maybe she drives him to drink, for all I know), but he most assuredly didn’t phone it in for that game.

BBQ heavenSo, who plays second?

November 24th, 2009

So, if we did the unthinkable and traded Prado, who would play second? Or move to third when Chipper gets hurt, as he ALWAYS does? I think, unless someone offers a crazy return, we keep Prado and Infante, for that matter. The two of those guys can play six or seven positions each, and Prado was the emergency catcher, if I”m not mistaken, a year or so ago. Prado is absolutely an everyday player, which he will be with no restrictions when Bobby no longer has KJ to fawn over.
