He’s a mess. That was horrible.
Jeffrey D: Thanks for the link. Those signs are solid. Very funny, couple of them.
October 3rd, 20096:13 pm
Too bad it took game 160 of the season for Bobby tol leave a pitcher in so that he could possible pick up a win…
Another inconsistant showing by the AWFense however
October 3rd, 20096:14 pm
Very funny, couple of them.
The Soriano and Norton ones I’m assuming
Soph – Only 6 points (somehow) but they had allowed about 250 yards of total defense in the first half. They’ve been solid this half though. Hope this doesn’t jinx them…
October 3rd, 20096:16 pm
Come on, you bafoons! Score some more for JJ!
TnBrian(Vazquez ace 2010)
October 3rd, 20096:17 pm
Tomahawkin, I don’t agree with you… not that my opinion matters, but. The only time Cox made me mad taking out a starting pitcher this year was Hanson in Houston. Other than that, the offense is the majority of the reason why JJ/Vazquez/Hanson don’t have more wins than they do, not Bobby.
October 3rd, 20096:19 pm
Lundquist said it…..these two teams have completely reversed. LSU only has SIX yards this half.
October 3rd, 20096:21 pm
Thanks, CB and Soph, for the heads up on versus Network – although it might be too late…
Tomahawkin, also, check out JJ & Javy’s innings pitched this year & you can see Bobby has let them pitch as deep in a game as is safe.
October 3rd, 20096:22 pm
2nd and 15….let’s do a draw up the middle and screen pass. The football equivalent of pinch hitting Norton and Conrad.
October 3rd, 20096:24 pm
lol, just checked out the Gamecast and saw that Conrad just struck out.
October 3rd, 20096:25 pm
My bad, In my last post I was making reference to Bobby not letting guys not go longer when they are well below 100 pitches pitched during the game…For Example the Hanson Shutout that was F’d up in Houston, among others
It’s coming down to the wire in Athens…
That’s a bingo slot!
October 3rd, 20096:27 pm
Did Bobby pick his nose??
I’ll make a new bingo card for 2010…
soph, jeff, tomahawkin – add me on fb … unless you’re like super secretive lol.
so we lost? last time i looked it was 2-2. so wanted jj to get that 15th win.
October 3rd, 20096:28 pm
Oh, he picked his nose earlier. But, if Brooks batted then that’s another slot.
October 3rd, 20096:29 pm
You may be looking at the last few outs secured by MFIKY in a BRAVES uni.
October 3rd, 20096:30 pm
Aight RHR, AKA Amanda, U got it…
The braves game isn’t even worth watching it’s a complete borefest…
Not looking good for UGA…Argh!
I can see the Yankees or Red Sox signing Soriano next year to set up Rivera or Papelbon. They’d be the only team willing to sign a set up man $9m a year.
October 3rd, 20096:31 pm
just checked out the Gamecast and saw that Conrad just struck out.
Thats impossible. gamecast is a liar.
October 3rd, 20096:32 pm
dang…making me wanna change channels
they better not be on the same commercial schedule
October 3rd, 20096:36 pm
Is this the last time we see Soriano in a Braves uniform?!?!?!?!?!?!
TnBrian(Vazquez ace 2010)
“I can see the Yankees or Red Sox signing Soriano next year to set up Rivera or Papelbon. They’d be the only team willing to sign a set up man $9m a year.”
Good Call, I have been calling out some similiar scenario as well
I’m Banking on MFIKY Or Gonzo Selling out To Omar Minaya and The NY Mess
I’m gonna call it MFIKY sells out to Whinebrenner and the Bankees and Gonzo Sells out to Minaya and the New York Mess as a set up man, “Bank On It!”
Don’t Forget the cubs as well they will be looking to strengthen up their relief corps. They have the money to do so…
The braves F.O. would be wise not to get into a bidding war over those 2
October 3rd, 20096:38 pm
What? Alabama Alum??
October 3rd, 20096:39 pm
Alright…3 minutes for a comeback. Please CMR, no draws or screens.
That’s better than nothing!
Man, the matchup was so good for a homer…oh well. Any kind of win would be appreciated!!
No wait, Bobo
October 3rd, 20096:40 pm
lol i graduated from there, blame uga for not having a med school
October 3rd, 20096:41 pm
see the thing is, cox (the qb) has looked like ass all day. my confidence level: low to none
October 3rd, 20096:42 pm
I shall blame UGA for nothing.
He’s looked decent second half.
October 3rd, 20096:43 pm
I can’t believe we’re going to extra innings. Fox is loving this, don’t you know? Riiight….
Moylan’s in. It isn’t an official game until Moylan enters….
They’ve been playing thank-you messages from individual Braves on the video board between innings the past couple of days.
Can anyone guess who got the loudest ovation during his message?
October 3rd, 20096:44 pm
“And they must score a touchdown, a field goal will not help them.”
October 3rd, 20096:45 pm
Looking good for UGA!
congrats, Dawg fans!
Wow. Celebrate UGA’ers.
October 3rd, 20096:46 pm
AHHHH!!!!! That was NASSSSSTY AJ Green!!!!!
D please don’t blow this! This would be huuuuuuge
October 3rd, 20096:47 pm
Ugh….and we need to go for 2 too….
FOX deserves this…that is what they get for [expletive deleted] with the schedule and denying me the game today
October 3rd, 20096:48 pm
I don’t trust our defense
cabravesfan – and it would have been better at the same time as the USC game?
October 3rd, 20096:49 pm
I Can’t believe you are part of a Corky Miller Group on Facebaook. I hope you were either joking or drunk as sh..+ when you joined that group, lol
October 3rd, 20096:50 pm
Another BS Call by the Refs for unsportsmans like conduct BS
its a joke group, tomahawkin – check it out its hilarious
This is Not Good for UGA…
Since I have to watch the Redskins comedy show tomorrow today will no doubt be some of my last blogs.
Despiter some classic losses where we gave away the game, and probalby the playoffs, and I will blame Bobby, it was a pretty decent bounce back after the last two years.
A great big bat is what we obviously need. Someone to put fear into the other guys and ultimatly make the other hitters better would be ideal. chipper is no longer a three hitter and McCann is not a clean up hitter. We do seem to have a plethera of #6 hitters, but maybe LaLa can hit 4 with the Big Bopper in the three hole.
Anyways I do want you all to take note that I went to France and England for two weeks and you guys brought us a 15-2 record since I got home tuesday the record is zippo and 4.
Have we hit a granny yet?
Free baseball not needed this time of year
October 3rd, 20096:51 pm
This is not good
October 3rd, 20096:52 pm
I would have gotten to watch for an hour before the USC game and YES- it would have been better!
October 3rd, 20096:53 pm
Owch. Sorry, guys. There’s still time though.
We talkin Braves or UGAlees.
Do note the Terps took out the Clemsons
Game Over for UGA!
What The Hell happened!
good call on the d, jeffrey
October 3rd, 20096:54 pm
That was like a braves playoff run.
exciting but short lived
October 3rd, 20096:55 pm
BS Referring Screwed Us out of this Game!
The Gnats have won 45 games when they don’t play the Braves
We’re getting rocked by NL Royals.
October 3rd, 20096:56 pm
Zimmerman came within a couple of feet of hitting the first home run off Moylan since opening day 2008, when the last one the Aussie gave up was against … Zimmerman.
“That was like a braves playoff run.”
It felt like watching a every braves playoff game this decade…
October 3rd, 20096:57 pm
do the Dawg have the ball in the Red Zone with 46 seconds left and only down 7?
October 3rd, 20096:58 pm
glad to see the bravos gave jurrjens one last F-you run support game again. Man how good was JJ be on a good baseball team, definitely would be a cy young contender
wow- and I thought the Pac-10 officals were terrible…
October 3rd, 20096:59 pm
cabravesfan: good point about Fox deserving this game. They asked for it after all, had the time changed.
Had Double J had better run support this season he’d be the Cy Young Winner, Nuff Said!
Ditto for Vazquez
Man how good was JJ be on a good baseball team, definitely would be a cy young contender
Yeah. Just ask Zack Greinke.
Do the Braves have the heart to come back? Haven’t exhibited it yet this year. How about fiishing with yet another double play? can’t use Norton for that cause he’ll K
October 3rd, 20097:00 pm
I just turned the UGA game off, back to watching free baseball and getting the grill on deck
I am not a happy camper
DOB Can anyone guess who got the loudest ovation during his message?
I love that. Thanks for telling us!
Blah, Braves are losing too, I see.
October 3rd, 20097:01 pm
Our boy KJ!!!!
October 3rd, 20097:02 pm
jeffrey, you missed a Kelly appearance!
Nice hit by our buddy Kelly, that was good to see.
Have we had a walk off homer this year?
Even freaking Mississippi State scored 26 against LSU. ugh
that hob-nailed boot dont feel so good, does it?
Steve from OH
October 3rd, 20097:03 pm
Nate McLouth is still a fourth OF masquerading as a starting CF.
I don’t think that’s fair from Sheehan. Career .350 wOBA and above .360 2 of the last three years. That’ll play in CF on any contender. I suppose he could be basing his argument on the theory that he doesn’t play defense well enough in CF to really be of value, but I don’t agree with that. I don’t think he’s a good defender there, but I also don’t think he’s terrible, as some stats would suggest.
What did Kelly do?
October 3rd, 20097:04 pm
I smell a set up for Chipper to hit into a game ending DP
October 3rd, 20097:05 pm
KJ smasehed a pinch hit RBI double
i hate georgia sports team, nothing but a pile of letdowns
How will the Braves leave Kelly at 2nd? So many possibilities with this team to screw up something good that any wild guess will do.
October 3rd, 20097:06 pm
Dammit Martin. No e’s for you! Argh.
Two awful atbats by McClouth and Prado with zero outs and the tying run on second base.
October 3rd, 20097:07 pm
Still doesn’t make it feel better.
crucial pop-ups by Nate and Martin – well done…
here comes our Greg!
Norton isn’t coming in. Bobby has to be trying to fool the Nats manager here… has to be. Right? Not Norty… impossible!
At least Norton will get a chance to let us down again
October 3rd, 20097:08 pm
Why in the name of all that is holy do you pinch-hit Norton for ssoR???
oh good god. Not Norton. Not ever. Why not leave in Ross?
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
