I agree. Oh man…that Patchorick (or however you spell his name) guy…he was…eesh.

Rathbun and Torborg weren’t very good, either, but Tom…hu boy.

Paciorek, McFann. Sweet heaven I hope it’s not him. It better not be anybody already in the system either (Gant, Chip Caray, and Lord save us if it’s Brian Jordan).

Boog and Joe was an INCREDIBLE partnership. Therefore, find someone like Boog. Young, dry, and doesn’t talk like Chip Caray, who has extra words with which to use when there’s a rule book double.

Do you think Tony Schovinnie will get a shot? He’s been doing the games in Gwinnett and I’ve heard he’s always wanted to call baseball. That might be fun to listen to for those of us who grew up listening to him do the WCW play by play on TBS.

I’d give D-Lowe away if someone took him outright. Of course, Wren will probably find a team that’s willing to give us something in return, too.

I haven’t been all that impressed with KK out of the pen. I certainly do not envision him as a viable closer for next season as a few on here have suggested. From what I’ve heard from a friend, he is not all that happy as a reliever anyway.
Still lots to do over the winter for this team.
Looks like I might have been correct when I posted about just how hard they would be hit after that first loss. Hope they can pick it up and win a couple B4 it’s over this weekend.

Has anyone noticed that since Biggio, Galarraga, Bagwell, Bonds, among others has left the game…No one uses the forcefield padding on their elbows and knees now…?

I remember in the early 90’s batters used the mini shinguard often… That has disappeared too. Did Mlb do some type of regulation of that over the last 3 years…?

I don’t know about your William and Mary games, but I’ve been to many a UGA game when you just sit there and watch the teams huddle for about 5 minutes while CBS takes another commercial break.

Wow, Mac and McLouth are really struggling. Despite missing out on the playoffs, I was hoping for a strong finish. Taking 3 of 4 from the Nats and a strong performance from Lowe. Not so, I guess. Oh well.

Still lots to do over the winter for this team.

nolie, do you really think so? I am actually not as optimistic as some others here are, but I do think that there is a good group here that can contend next year. I suppose there are quite a few decisions that need to be made: Soriano and Gonzo, and if they aren’t brought back, who is brought in? Also, a power bat, potentially in left field. First base – do they bring back Laroche? Less work to do than last year, although last offseason, I think most fans were just hoping for a respectable season. Next year expectations are playoffs or bust, it seems.

I too will miss Boog, I think he brought a different take than that of any announcer we’ve had previously. Then again I’d love to here Ernie do one more game.

I sure hope the Braves don’t wus out the next two games because it appears the Marlins are going to continue to play hard. The effort and focus is not what it should have been for the Braves even though they were eliminated from the playoffs. Losing these last games just sends the wrong signal to the team and to the fans.

I think the lack of leadership has become even more evident this last week. How Wren addresses that, if he does at all, will be very interesting to see over the Winter.
