I’d like to cram scoots’ left weejun in Robert’s ass, and his right one in Lentz’ throat, and call it a day.

scoots, what came first for you: Weejuns or your admiration of KJ?

 Too funny. Poor KJ fan club. I never for a second thought it was a race thing. I just thought you all thought he might actually have a full season of September 2008’s. And that he was cute.

And Gonzalez is owed 10MM combined over 2010 and 2011 (really, he’s only owed 4MM next year as 2011 is an option year but I digress)…that’s nowhere near “salary dump” level.

Matty, you know you have, 5 lefties, 2 righties and a switch hitter as your everyday 8, right.

I saw today Mark Bradley was speculating Heyward would be in right. I think the only people that have written off Schafer, are the ones not aware he was injured last year. Hum, already calling it last year, that did not take long. Anyway, if McLouth is out there, that’s 3 lefties in the outfield. That leaves first base for a big right handed bat.

Of course you could have those guys in the outfield, sign LaRoche for first. Then put Kelly back at second, trade Escobar for a lefty short stop, and Chipper switch hits, so….

Then in 2010 just forfeit all games against left handers, go with a four man rotation, everybody is well rested all year, win 100 games, win the World Series,…..Woooo…. problems solved….YEAH

You do have a point about KJ. Had he been a minority, He’d would’ve been gone long ago, Ditto for Francoeur and his struggles and clling out his coaches during his tenure…

Really?!?!?!? Gone a long time ago?!?!?!? For what reason? ‘Cause if you think KJ should’ve been gone a long time ago, then what are you saying is that the Braves should rid themselves of Martin Prado right now.

KJ, 2007 & 2008 combined: .282/.362/.451/.813/112 OPS+

Prado, 2008 & 2009 combined: .311/.364/.463/.827/118 OPS+

So if KJ should’ve been gone a long time ago for doing that, why shouldn’t Prado be sent packing now so that you aren’t wasting our time a year from now declaring that Prado should’ve been sent packing a long time ago?

And as for the race thing, isn’t Martin the one who is often talked about in a way reserved for white guys: solid, steady, blah, blah, blah while KJ is the one talked about in a way some folks like to stereotype the play of minorities: erratic.

And as for Frenchy being kept around because he was a white guy, then why did the Pirates keep sticking with Roberto Clemente past the age of 25 although Frenchy and Clemente essentially had the same OPS+ numbers? The Pirates hung unto the Latino through his development. The Braves sent the great white hope packing. I think his numbers with the Mets showed why they kept hanging on to Frenchy as long as they did.

That’s some very int’resting stuff…well, since BMac’s gonna be 26 next year (that seems “old” all of the sudden…), guess that means, by those findings of yours, that he’s about to peak.

Nope, not true. Gonzo is well known for getting into and out of trouble. They may have both had their struggles this year, Gonzo and Soriano, but one only has to look back to how things were before they got here in our bullpen to see how valuable they have been to this team(when healthy of course). I mean in 2006 when we traded for Wickman, the guy was seen as a saviour and the very next year they DFA him.

First JED I think your nuts. I’m white and don’t see why or how we keep playing K.J. I don’t see why we traded Francoeur for Church. And if we do trade a SP it should be Lowe, for one we would have more money for the power bat we need and two he was the worst pitcher on the staff. K.J can/should be traded as Prado is a better all a round player, just look at the stats. If we can’t get the power bat by way of free agency then we should be able to get a good one through a trade with Lowe and K.J.
