Good cut, Greg! We love you.
Steve from OH
Norton in for Ross. How bad do you feel right now if you’re Ross?
Bobby this is another one on you.
Bulletin. Nats take the entire defense off the field to just let the pitcher get Norton out by himself.
October 3rd, 20097:09 pm
I would trust my 89 year old grandfather to get out Norton.
COX IS AWFUL!!!! WHY NORTON?????
He comes through! Norton for prez!
Norton’s hit is what we call regression toward the mean, it was bound to happen, haha.
DID NORTON JUST COME THROUGH?????
Norton hatuhz……SUCK that!
TnBrian(Vazquez ace 2010)
Bobby is the happiest man on the earth right now & I’m the most shocked person in the world.
October 3rd, 20097:10 pm
Call 911 I’m having the big one.
BRING BACK NORTON!
Great little grin on Greg’s face… we just needed thirty more of those this year!
Give Norton a 3 year deal, he earned it after that hit.
Holy Hell, Norton got a hit!
Day late and a dollar short Norton
With that game-tying hit, Norton has earned himself a contract for next year. (Just kidding)
BTW, has Brooks Conrad had a hit in September?
More free baseball (except on the West Coast – sorry, my love!)!
Get some of that Fox…The Nats-Braves ratings machine rolls on…
October 3rd, 20097:11 pm
Norton ha ha!! Should they throw that ball into the dugout so he can put it in his trophy case.
Think Cox is smiling in the dugout?
This just in – Hell has frozen over.
What the DEVIL is Escobar’s problem?
JJ pitches great and doesn’t get the win….
so norton comes through while the guy who use to be good with runners in scoring position (but that average is plummeting fast) fails?
Blind hog found an acorn.
oh, sweet irony!!!!
Norton’s first RBI with a hit since August 1st.
October 3rd, 20097:12 pm
good timing, Jimmy Joe
I hope this game goes like 17 innings (sorry DOB!) just so FOX has to be stuck with it…
so any other day Fox takes you to their other games when one finishes…and they didn’t do that today. I was hoping to see at least ONE INNING!!! Guess it was just too much to ask for!
October 3rd, 20097:13 pm
Conrad is 0 for his last 22.
It’s nice to see Clint Sammons play for the first time since he was recalled. Acosta worries me though.
That one hit brought his average up 12 points
Worse thing in the world for 2010 was Norton getting a hit then. BC just wet his britches! Norton just got rehired!
LETS GO BRAVES AND WHITE SOX!!!
October 3rd, 20097:14 pm
Manny A Cost A Game. Did Norton hit for Ross? One of our really good hitters?. maybe not since we ran for McCann. Don’t have Gameday so can’t keep track of what is happening
It’s funny that the last time Norton had an RBI was August 1st against the Dodgers also on FOX.
October 3rd, 20097:15 pm
I don’t know about you, but I had Kelly Johnson and Greg Norton as the extra-innings run-producers all along.
October 3rd, 20097:16 pm
Like several others, i am a feared Norton will be back next year thanks to that hit.
Imagine that Acotagame got two out with no runs yet
October 3rd, 20097:17 pm
Maxwell finally dropped his Silver Hammer upon the Braves.
Acosta is terrible
Third place….here we come!
There is no way 1 hit in a meaningless game remotely improves the chances of Norton returning next year…Now BC may want him back but FW will not let it happen…
I had Dave O’Brien as managing editor of the Wall Street Journal.
A cost a game in the clutch. At least it was a sure first ballot hall of famer that took him deep
They wanted it more…
If Norton had whiffed, or been out on agroundball or whatever!!!! I was not going to watch another Braves game till Bobby was gone. Cox is an
October 3rd, 20097:18 pm
All of my hopes and dreams have been totally decimated in one pitch by my guy Manny…
Is anyone surprised by this performance?
Acosta is awesome…
This is turning into a splendid evening. I’ll bet my dog runs away next.
October 3rd, 20097:19 pm
Rough weekend huh?
At least the Falcons are off.
Cox can't interview without touching dat grande nose.
Enter your comments if you wish
Is an what?? Don’t leave us hanging!!
Cox is an
Yeah, this has been a BAD sports weekend. At least the Falcons can’t lose this week.
Cox is an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who woul dof thought five straight losses to end the season?
October 3rd, 20097:20 pm
Tell me about it, Mixxo. Not fun at all.
October 3rd, 20097:21 pm
9.74 ERA? This should be easy….
Ahh…I was hoping you’d be more creative Lee.
I didn’t know they let Loaf play 11 inning games.
By the way this pitcher sucks. Should not stop of from giving up and losing again
October 3rd, 20097:22 pm
I could have said a lot worse, you know!
October 3rd, 20097:23 pm
T’Hawkin & jeffrey – I’m adding you guys on fb. Accept if you’re not scared.
RHR – already added you.
October 3rd, 20097:24 pm
1 – 2 – 3 on a 9.74 ERA
Just horrible. Only bright spot….one of our HS teams beat the #1 ranked AAAAA school last night.
4 game sweep for the Nats. Cox is an
Mixxo – is it the school that beat Lowndes?
October 3rd, 20097:25 pm
Whatever happened to that 15-2 stretch? this team has just given up.
October 3rd, 20097:26 pm
Beaten by a AA team using a little league pitcher.
Bobby you proud of that effort?
Yes Soph, Northside.
I went to Warner Robins High though. The ex went to Northside.
If I had said what I really, really,REALLY wanted to say, I would have been banned for life!!! LOL
YEY!!! GO BRAVES!!! (I Always root for the underdogs)
October 3rd, 20097:27 pm
I’m scared. RE-JECTED!!!!
October 3rd, 20097:28 pm
kidding….but I think you added the wrong Jeffrey
Man this is hilarious if they end the season w a 4 game sweep by nationals.
October 3rd, 20097:29 pm
“Whatever happened to that 15-2 stretch?”
they were playing out of character
Wow, you’ve got good hometown spirit, Mixxo. I’m always cheering for all the other Gwinnett County schools to lose. Especially Brookwood & Parkview.
October 3rd, 20097:30 pm
I’m still optimistic about the future
I haven’t added you yet.
October 3rd, 20097:31 pm
Will Man this is hilarious if they end the season w a 4 game sweep by nationals.
Not really, but whatever…
October 3rd, 20097:33 pm
1. 3rd Place. It’s where Bobby Cox lives. It’s where he picks up his mail. Braves fans love it there. So do AJC writers. It requires very little effort in October.
2. Manny Acosta already has his Halloween costume picked out. He’s going to pretend to be a big league pitcher.
4. The only reason Chipper is in the lineup against the Washington Generals (yeah, I know) is to pad his garbage-time batting average. And he’s in an 0-18 slump.
5. Derek Lowe finishes the season with more wins than Jair Jurrjens. Talk about a meaningless stat.
October 3rd, 20097:35 pm
Don’t worry, I got you on Deck…!
can I add you to my facebook frinds?
October 3rd, 20097:39 pm
Bobby Cox = Mark Richt. Safe, boring, middle-of-the pack, mediocre and immovable.
Rob from SC
Steve from OH
This surgery is no joke. I feel like shit
For all the cats that added me on Facebook…
Go Ahead and join the Jason Heyward fan club…
Gotta let you guys know that since I live in Henry County. Y’all know I got that Southside “On Deck!”
lol T’Hawkin, I love your fb profile. It’s just like the stuff you post on here.
October 3rd, 20097:42 pm
Soph & Tomahawkin-
I’d like to add you too…
October 3rd, 20097:45 pm
Trade Jurrjens? McLouth is a fourth outfielder? Ain’t Sheehan the same genius that said Yunel Escobar was nothing but a utility player, and that the Braves were dead wrong in their man crush in Escobar, and that they should’ve been starting Brent Lillibridge over Escobar on Opening Day 2008?
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
