Even though the season is over, im proud of this team (minus Chipper). I didn\’t think they would be 15 games over .500. Next season, we will dominate…if Wren knows what hes doin. Go Braves in 2010!

I’m still proud of this team, regardless if they get to the postseason. If Colorado wins their game then I’ll have my doubts about our chances, but I’ve said that before.

rockies are not going 2-3 after tonights win…. and there is no way in hell we win out. its done. this season was a true improvement compared to last year but if you go back and look at where it all went 0wrong, its obvious….bobby. i could count as many as 10 games that we lost but could have won if we had an average manager…

Hudson was the culprit tonight. But like I said earlier, real tough to continue to get great starting pitching. Sometimes the O has to bail em out. Thought it might happen after the Diaz homer, but alas, it was not to be.

Ouch. That one downright hurts.
However, I still think we have a chance. Even though we’ve lost momentum, we have Vazquez going tomorrow, which is very good, and a sweep of the Nationals is still a real possibility. Have to hope that the Rockies stumble and go 2-3, at best, the rest of the way, which is also a real possibility.
Still have to BELIEVE, Braves fans.

I can’t believe people actually think Bobby Cox deserves the manager of the year award.
This line-up is ineffective. Lead-off hitter isn’t hitting. Number 3 hitter isn’t hitting. Homerun hitter, batting 7th.
But hell, he’s not hitting either. Bobby Cox is clueless. Loyalty doesn’t hit two run walk-off homeruns.

I think I can say with 90% certainty that old chipper would have hit a walkoff in that spot.

Well, the pitching wasn’t perfect so according to most they sucked. Braves hitting with RISP is what did them in. Outside of Diaz no one else got the hit. They could still be 2 out, games not over in the Rockies. Bounce back tomorrow. Play the schedule out and see where you finish.

Man I feel so much better now than before.
The past two days I’ve hardly been able to sleep just thinking about what it would be like if we went to the playoffs. I really did believe. I really, really don’t anymore but I think we all knew this would happen sooner or later. Such is the legacy of Bobby Cox.

Mclouth is really struggling after getting hot right after his DL stint. Chipper had a tough at bat, good pitches by Nuñez who by the way has tremendous stuff. Hope they come back tomorrow and start another winning streak, keep the rockies sweating.

It’s always been a long shot folks but it ain’t over yet.
Wonder if any thought was given to bunting Chipper to move Prado to 2nd. I know Cox doesn’t bunt like that often but the DP there should have been taken out of the question. Just seemed like the thing to do there to me. That is not hindsight either simply a move to tie the game at least. Chipper has been lukewarm at that with the bat.

KK has an ERA of under 4 as a 5th starter. Why blame him for a loss. This team has improved dramatically from last season. If we can improve on this season we in the playoffs next year. We have made a great run at the end here, is it totally over? no not yet. Don’t start hating on guys just because they might have given up a run or not got a hit tonight. Chill out peeps. We can win tomorrow!! Which might not do us any good, but we can still WIN!!!

The Streak had to end sometime, but still…. I was prepared and ready for this loss when they were down 4-1. Diaz tying it up with a blast just gave you the feel that something special was happening. That ended the next inning when KK gave the lead back to the Fish.
Because of the circumstances mentioned above…..it made this loss a bit harder to take.
Now a comment about McCann. He’s good. I like him a lot. He’s a valuable piece who contributes in lots of ways. But…. the bottom line is this ain’t the guy you want at the plate with the game on the line. He will contribute plenty of times to the offense and put you in position to win. Hey, if he drives in 3 and you win that’s great! Just don’t expect him to drive in those 3 in the 7th, 8th or 9th when it’s on his shoulders to make it happen or you lose. Basically all you are gonna see from Mac in those situations is him slamming his bat into the ground after he pops up. I want him on my team, I just don’t want him in the batters box with the game on the line.
I think with every start it’s more evident that Hudson is more expendible than Vazquez going into 2010. Can’t base this judgement on one ineffective start, but Hudson and Vazquez are both building a resume based on their recent performance. Hudson might be a walk away where Vazquez could bring return in trade, but how can you trade the guy who is quite likely your #1 starter this season?

A-ville, we just lost. By one run. Against a third place team. Leaving 9 runners on base.
When does he ever get held accountable by you people? We’ve had overpowering pitching the last week and a half and played two of the worst teams in baseball. Notice the three losses were at home in close games against talented teams. You have to at least understand why some of us would point the finger at him. I hope.

Marlins are a tough team, Josh Johnson is very tough, and they can hit. Their bulpen after Sanchez was outstanding. Coghlan really hurt this team today.
