It’ll look like a line drive in the box score tomorrow. Let’s go Chipper. A walk off would be FANTASTIC.
Nova Scotia Steve - Fight Like A Brave
NO DP”S NO DP”S NO DP”
no whammy’s no whammy’s no whammy’s
Why doesn’t Usain Bolt not slide headfirst over the finish line?
CHIPPER YOU CAN DO IT
September 29th, 200910:26 pm
I love that guy. Lets give him a contract and get his family to the states
GUT CHECK TIME.
that was his HR swing
Come on Chipper.
Hoss……I liked that cut!
Great, the two worst clutch hitters are coming up.
I’m calling a two run shot by Chipper.
Chipper, a homer would be BEAUTIFUL here, pal!
If Chipper homers here he could run for mayor
Here comes the change up
September 29th, 200910:27 pm
walk would be nice
I’m begging here too
September 29th, 200910:28 pm
Thats Chipper for ya. The guy needs to retire.
Thanks Chipper, I get to hear Rob for the rest of my life.
I don’t like the new chipper, he hurts the team more than helps
Knife to the gut.
Mac save us please.
Damn, Chipper. Come on, Mac, please, baby, tie it up.
jesus. just strike out…
There’s your hall of famer.
Can’t even get the runner over?
September 29th, 200910:29 pm
Chipper just killed the season with that AB.
Remember the good old days when Chipper was clutch
I hit refresh RIGHT after Chipper did that. Either you’re an incredibly fast typer, or you were just waiting to complain.
Oh, Chipper! C’mon Mac!
This really sums up the season for Chipper
CHIPPER AND MCCANN AREN’T CLUTCH!!!!
Rockies up 3-2
This season is over
Chipper has got to be really hurtin because his ab’s don’t look normal at all.
Get LOAF up please!
Setting the stage for a Loaf walk-off
September 29th, 200910:30 pm
Chipper Chipper Chipper
If McCann gets on, Bobby Cox needs to pinch run for him.
his first two swings were beauties, kirk. can’t deny that
Steve from OH
Now that’s funny.
Season’s over folks.
And she’s over folks
Rockies lose them all
GAME SET SEASON
C’est la flippin’ vie…
Good season Braves. At least we only have one more year with the Old Fool.
A few situps will cure that.
Ballgame…I’m going to bed. Sad.
Bad night for McCann on 3-1 counts.
Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. I’m getting the hell out of here before Lentz starts in.
Oh, well, lets hope Brewers can get on top and stay there. I hate the Marlins Good night, all, well, as good as it could be.
September 29th, 200910:31 pm
cmon guys they still didn’t give up in this game can you imagine the pressure ther’e under jeeeeeesh
3 games back with 5 to go. That means we have to go 5-0 and hope the Rockies go 2-3 after they win tonight.
well that was fun while it lasted
see you guys next year
Lets go Brewers
Its over folks we will be 3 back by end of thus
well it was going to be hard to win out anyways, they put themselves in a difficult spot. If it’s meant to be they’ll get in .. if not, tough luck and better luck next year.
Winning is fun but when it ends…it sucks. Big time.
Oh good…I see people are giving up on the season for the 23489237498th time.
So much for “believing”. Now it takes a complete miracle, which probably isn’t going to happen.
September 29th, 200910:32 pm
Oh well, it was a good run. See ya next year.
There’s always a tomorrow, no? Let’s just hope the Brewers beat the Rockies…
Season still not over here even if Rockies win tonight.
Can’t lose again. Gotta win all five remaining games and pray the Rockies have a meltdown.
Well, guess we have to hope for a Brewers miracle. Way to be clutch Chipper and Mac, just what you get paid for. Pathetic. Oh, and it looks like the people that called ballgame in the 5th inning were RIGHT!!!
don’t know what to say
thanks chipper! with a rockies win tonight we are done…. i promise you we lose tomorrow and then split with the nats.
what a tease. i dont believe and i never did. bobby cox teams have chocked for the last two decades, with the exception of 95. why would things have been different this time around? i wish booby would hang is hat up this year… whats he waiting for?
boy, that is not good to be watching the gamecast praying for chipper jones not to hit into a double play. has he really fallen that far????? that was just a demoralizing loss. good run bravos but there is no recovering from this one.
I never thought i would say this but, CHIPPER JONES COST US THE POSTSEASON
Thank you Kawakami!
Season over. Ouch. Rockies up 4-2 also. F.
September 29th, 200910:33 pm
The Braves scored their 4 runs as needed, but the pitching just couldn’t come through tonight.
Many, many chances to score over the past 2 nights, just could’t quite get that back breaking hit.
I hear ya.
I wanna go back to 4 o’clock when we were pumped.
90 win season would be nice
I BELIEVE…..the season is over. Not really. Just kidding. Couldn’t resist.
September 29th, 200910:34 pm
4-2 Rockies now
And Kawakami is the biggest bum ever. Guy needs to take his ass back to Japan.
Eh, what are ya gonna do? Tough way to lose with all the men left on base, but they battled.
Wayne in Utah
15-3 is not a bad run. I know we all wanted a 13-0 to close out the season, but do you folks realize how unlikely that would be. We are still not mathematically eliminated yet. Hope springs eternal!
wow , well it was a good effort trying to squeeze into the playoffs, hitting into double play in the 9th is a killer, big sticks didnt come threw for us when we needed it most. Huddy didnt have his stuff tonight. Looks like will have to win every game from here on out and get help.
September 29th, 2009
If we are down by 1 in the bottom of the 9th, the last guys I want near the plate are chipper and Mc.
Pure trash……….this 2 guys and Cox have taken care of business.
We had tons of chances to do it again………..but with chipper and Mc on this team is kind of hard.
Pitching KK tonight was also stupid, since the guy had not pitched in like 4 months……
Start Norton tomorrow night over McCl-OUT. Kelly Johnson in for Chipper. Ross in for McPOPUP.
Why are people blaming Kawakami?
How about the guy who gave up 4 runs in 5 innings and let a scrub like Cameron Maybin hit a two-run homer?
They thought Turner Field was empty before.
Watch tomorrow night. It’s over. I quit. I can’t believe it. No excuse.
I did actually tear up my “Believe” print out that I was going to bring with me to a game later this week. I think it was after Yunel hit the ball right back to the pitcher with two outs.
I hate this

Hey, Nick, do some math here. We’re 2.5 games and the Brewers-Rockies game is still in progress. We could wake up tomorrow still 2 games back!
I blame this loss on Hudson, and Bobby for starting Hudson in such a crucial game, the dudes not ready yet.
Chipper cost us this season,
It’s over. Great ride. Maybe with an actual leadoff hitter and more offense we can send Bobby out on top. Thanks Kawakami for screwing us over.
Tough night. Just aren’t hitting. Really disappointed in Prado in the last inning. Instead of staying in the baseline to make the throw to first more difficult, he just peels off. I’m an old goat, but in my day that earned you a rest the next game. Go Brewers!
Wow, can’t believe how quickly the ship is clearing out, when they make it, I hope I don’t see any of the “seasons over folks” crowd down at the stadium. You have to be all in or all out, no need for fence huggers.
Oxymoron (accent on moron)
September 29th, 2009
They haven’t really done enough in my opinion to earn this win, the Marlins.
WTF?!?! Who the EFF cares about your opinion? Last time I checked, the Marlins are a major league team also. Jackass..and YAI.
