I’m seriously glad that he’s hitting here, cause that means that he won’t be pinch-hitting at a more vital moment of the game in later innings. Come on Norty!
The Braves losing this game wont be the end of the world. This was the one game that I was looking at in the last 13 games of the season that I felt that the Braves could lose. By winning our previous 7 games, we gave ourselves a little breathing room. However, if we lose this game, we HAVE to win the remaining 5 to have any shot.
Still, this game is far from over. Johnson looks like he is tiring. Plus that Marlins bullpen isnt exactly shutting people down. At most Johnson will last 6 innings, which will give us 3 cracks at that Marlins bullpen.
Hudson’s fresh off of Tommy John surgery, was he really ready to be thrust into a situation like tonight> I like Hudson but I dont think so. When he was announced as tonight’s starter I knew that would be dangerous. Go Braves!
We still have 4 more cracks to score 3 runs. There’s a chance that Johnson is done for the night. If so, then there is no reason to think that we cant come back.
However, if the bullpen doesnt hold them, it wont matter. We need a shutdown performance from the pen tonight.
are you frickin kidding me?!?!?!? A pop up?? What kind of crap is that? That was our prime opportunity to put a few up on the board and our clean up hitter pops up. Thats so great!!!

How in the world can Josh Johnson walk Greg “cant hit his way out of a paper bag” Norton?
Perhaps Greg Norton should be called a “pinch walk specialist” instead of a pinch hitter because he cant hit worth SHYT.
