We need to be patient. Prado let him off the hook last inning swinging at the first pitch when he was struggling
September 29th, 20098:29 pm
Can we please not strand Brian out there. Adam Bomb time!
Esco’s trying at least, Nice…!
Time for an Adam Bomb. That would be nice.
LaRoche this we need you
Oh man they’re showing the top 10 moments in marlins season, #10 Gloads homer to win it against Soriano.
Nova Scotia Steve - Fight Like A Brave
September 29th, 20098:30 pm
Nice to see LaRoche is hitting the ball hard
That was not even a fire cracker.
If they let all of the people in the upper deck move down to the lower deck, the people who paid more for those lower level seats would complain.
down by 1 run. looks like braves are starting to get to him.
darn… ok gotta hold them here. long as we’re only losing by a run or two, there’s a chance.
no more giving up hits and putting guys on base, and no more giving up runs … got it Hudson!?
No Hudson, go back to the bench. KK might give a chance here.
September 29th, 20098:31 pm
Esco swung at a strike, just hit it to the wrong part of the park. Adam however does not look good against Johnson, but hey a run on the board.
Steve from OH
If I thought this team still had a chance then I’d be sounding off like Mitchell
What is the point of it, though? It’s not constructive and doesn’t add much to the discussion. Hey, I don’t like GA out there in left and I’m thoroughly confused about the Greg Norton Chronicles, but you don’t hear me spouting it every 2 seconds. Collect your thoughts and make a well-formulated, rational post. More people will take notice and start a really good discussion over it, I’m willing to bet.
Remember your “head of the class” stuff? That gets a lot more play that some tirades every 2 minutes, no?
Hey, at least we’re not gonna get shut out.
well cut it in half
All right on the board! Gotta hold em. If we keep them at 2 runs, Braves will win this game.
September 29th, 20098:32 pm
For the love of all that is holy could we please hold them here…and not immediately give up that run we just got
September 29th, 20098:33 pm
On the Braves fans in Atlanta issue…?
Has anyone noticed that Latinos in Atlanta don’t know that the city has a baseball team…Cheesewhiz…! It’s not like the braves have had any good latin players…
Over the years We’ve had Galarraga, Renteria (Columbia), Furcal, etc, but I rarely see Latinos come to Tooner Field, it’s like Latinos in Atlanta don’t know baseball exists…
Latino’s/Hispanics in LA go all out for their teams…Even the Marlins have a bigger hispanic fanbase. What Gives…?
Y’all can rest easy now. Line-score is up and we immediately score a run. Many more to come!
probably hudson’s last inning
September 29th, 20098:34 pm
Awesome Hudson…Walk thwe lead-off guy….just awesome
KK…..you warm yet?
September 29th, 20098:35 pm
Tim please get a lead off hitter tonight.
We’re certainly not helping Tommy Hanson’s ROTY push
steve from OH — that’s one of the reasons i don’t blog during games too much. Who wants to listen to the constant bitch and moan over every little thing.
Baseball is a game of mistakes and saves, outs and comebacks. If they don’t understand that then they aren’t worth listening too.
I like Hudson, but I like Vazquez more.
September 29th, 20098:36 pm
Steve From OH
I’m Glad You Remember my “Head of the Class Post” I did after the all-star break. I will do another one after seasons end…
As Far as the Knee-jerk reactions goes…
I think most fans on here have a college football type mentality when it comes to watching the games therefore we spout off after almost every out made…
Oh MY GOD
Hudson for god sake.
That’s the ballgame….God Damn it Hudson….Strugglin from pitch number 1
September 29th, 20098:37 pm
I think Hudson would be better served in the pen now. At first, no because they did need to see where he was & I think it’s pretty obvious he can still get guys out. But, KK is a better choice to start now.
OMG, another HR. All we can do now is hope Colorado loses tonight.
Yeah, I don’t know what I’m talking about. Suck on that!
Horrible location all night for Hudson. Leaving pitches up. He’s lucky he’s only been tagged for 4 runs.
This ones on Tim………….
We really need this game
T-Hawkin–yeah, but it’s the wrong mentality to take for pro baseball. Totally apples-to-oranges, dude.
September 29th, 20098:38 pm
Tim Hudson looks like total garbage tonight. He’s leaving everything up. Get his ass out of the game.
This is exactly what I was afraid of happening — Hudson sucking.
Need the Rockies too lose
still got 5 innings…………………man
Throw tim hudson in a playoff atmosphere and he sucks!! I had a bad feeling all day he wouldnt bring his A game
I think we were all affraid of Hudson sucking
Oh good grief…
Yeah, Johnson, laugh it up big boy. I’ll bet that ugly MF ain’t had p*s** since p*s** had him.
September 29th, 20098:39 pm
I bring KK to start the 6th no doubt.
3 runs down crap
i think tim rushed back too early from TJ. we didn’t need the extra help.
Everyone says they’re playing relaxed maybe Hudson was pitching too relaxed … probably even forgot they were only 2 back.
He’s been up but the low strikes he isn’t getting called isn’t helping either. Still 5 innings and Josh Johnson isn’t sharp. Got to hold them right there.
Plenty of game to play….
September 29th, 20098:40 pm
Maybin is awful, no excuse giving a hr to that rookie.
P. W. Hjort
Ross Gload = Hudson’s last batter?
Should've been KK
This is the guy we want to keep over JV? I’m not buying trading Javy Vasquez. Also too bad we let this guy bump KK who delivers in big games. Hudson was good but not great before the injury, I don’t see why the Braves can’t pick up his option and trade him and Lowe both.
Greg Norton time in the bottom of the inning
Offense needs to pick it up. win as a team, lose as a team. we should be able to get 4 measly runs
Hudson is wild, didnt Kenshin own the Marlins this year
Pretty simple really, they panicked and rushed Hudson up before he’s “really” ready. Throw him in the biggest game of the year and……………..
….there ya have it.
September 29th, 20098:41 pm
Kawakami always brings it in big games. Hudson does not. Even Hudson admits he lets himself get too amped up in big games.
I’d do everything I could to keep Vazquez, let Huddy fall where he may next year…
Haha! No, Rally’s just nervous…and intense. He for whatever reason feels the need to spread his legs out real far and stiff when he’s nervous.
Anyone else think Don Sutton sounds a bit like Clark Howard?
this was the game that if we were going to lose, this was it. against josh johnson and 5 games to go, this was the only loss we could endure and still make it to the playoffs. we gotta win tomorrow and sweep the nationals which could seriously happen. We couldnt win this game, but our chances are still alive. good night, folks. lets get em tomorrow!
September 29th, 20098:42 pm
If the Braves want to win in the Postseason, they first have to show us they can win when they are trailing by 3+ runs
Medlen or Kawakami?
ok. Get Hudson’s sorry butt out. Bobby go ahead and bring in your man crush.
LOL@McFann He could out-swim Phelps with those rally flippers…
September 29th, 20098:43 pm
Hey, we could still win this game…
Another good song for the Braves would be “Come Together” by Third Day. Love that song…
The “Checkers Wings” commercial is the worst
Its always fun when they can fight back, its far from over
Well, ya can’t get great pitching performances EVERY single night out. Sometimes you gotta come back on a team. Let’s see if the Braves can pull one out.
The Braves are not letting Vazquez go anywhere and are not going to shop him. Did you see him pitch this year, he was our ace, hands down all year.
September 29th, 20098:44 pm
ok let’s just chip away at this thing. and it’s a big game so KK shuts ‘em down the rest of the way
alright Matty lets get somthin goin,
this is a big inning, to show were not totally dead
McFann – Love that song!
Time to score some runs… please?
He could out-swim Phelps with his eyes shut!
P. W. Hjort The “Checkers Wings” commercial is the worst
But still…I WANT WINS!!
How do you figure they rush Huddy? Wasn’t KK pitching quite well for a number 5? Didn’t he pitch well enough to earn Bobby’s confidence as a number 5? You make no sense, Hudson has been pitching well since he’s come back. You base your comments and judgments on one outing. Intelligent choice dude.
Steve, I don’t know who you’re talking to at this point, me or Tomahawkin, but I was never talking to you at any point so… I don’t know.
Don’t tell people to shut up and then relax. That doesn’t work.
September 29th, 20098:45 pm
If the Braves shop Vazquez and keep Hudson that will be a huge mistake
While Vazquez is going out and pitching his heart out, Hudson is walking everyone then giving up RBI doubles to a opposing pitcher when that pitcher is down 0-2 in the count.. Not only is Tim Hudson on the verge of wasting our win streak, he is single handily blowing away our chances at the playoffs.. Thanks Tim Hudson, I hope you are packing after the game and on your way out of Atlanta.. You are not worth 2 million a year let alone 12 million for next year.. The Braves would be down right stupid to pick up that option.. Good riddance..
Braves just cant get around to the Fastball
P. W. Hjort -
Certainly NOT Medlen. We need someone in there with some guts. KK.
Little Krissy might pee his pants on his way in from the pen.
September 29th, 20098:46 pm
Norton just dont swing
I repeat the Braves ARE NOT GOING TO SHOP VAZQUEZ.
YAY, GREG NORTON TIME!
Kenshin did not own the Marlins…
I remember in Florida…it looked like batting practise
Brian the Brain
Hey Great. We got Hudson and Norton out of the game.
leadoff hitter on against marquis
christ on a crutch. matt hasn’t done $hit in a week
Cox your man crush is in to make an out. Does anyone understand why this old fool will continue to put this POS guy in there.
Totally apples-to-oranges, dude.
Did I read apples to oranges? I’ve been waiting for that Steve OH.
