Do we want Philly to lose or win? I’m torn as to whether we need them to keep losing, or win to keep pressure on LA so LA can hand it to the Rockies next weekend. Just don’t know who to root for in that Astros game, other than fate.

I’m thinking 12-15,000 actual butts in the seats tonight. Let’s face it, despite the AJC columnists and Cox lovers singing the praises of the HOF manager, he effectively ran off thousands of fans this season.

Reality check. Have the players suddenly come alive for their leader? Or have they faced minor league competition in recent days? The Washington Generals (yeah I know) kicked 3 games away over the weekend, throwing the ball around as if it was a greased apple.

As for the HOF manager, I believe it was his call to bring up .130 hitting Greg Norton in a potential game-winning situation in the 8th inning on Sunday, with Infante available on the bench. Of course Norton pulled a Norton, the Nats played like the Nats, and the game went into extras.

So the lineup filled with players that Cox was forced to use after his first-half mismanagement, dominates AAA competition during the past week. And the AJC seriously wonders why fans have tuned out?

Infante gets a chance to hit in the 10th (just like Cox planned it, right AJC?) and puts the game away.

Sad part is, the fans don’t care. Cox took care of that throughout the year with his inept managing. That’s why most folks are watching the Cowboys tonight.

In response to you 8:49 Comment about Cox running fans away from his inept managing and this team being a bore

Fans got tired of Bobby’s lack of some stretch run enthusiasm which rubbed off on his teams years ago, hence the reason as to why we failed to sellout playoff games during 2002-05
