Has their ever been a question that Paul Dunce doesn’t like Greg Norton or Bobby Cox.
I think Norton is having a terrible year. I love Bobby Cox. I think alike with Paul 50% of the time……scary as hell!
PS: Have we EVER heard anybody say Bobby is a great tactician??? I don’t think I have EVER heard anybody make that statement.
But, is it just pure dumb luck that Javier Vazquez is having a career year, THIS year? Did Jared Wright and John Burkett (and others I am too lazy to look up or can’t remember right at this moment) have career years when they came to Atlanta???
Is there something in the water down there in Atlanta? Or maybe, I shudder to mention it, could it be, maybe, just maybe, Bobby Cox is the type of manager that gets the most out of some players??????? Nah, could’t be.
Almost everybody (outside of this blog) thinks Bobby is an outstanding manager, and headed for the Hall of Fame. What does that have to say about you idiots who continue to harp on him????

Cos…………..while I appreciate your kind words in your 10:30pm posting, I wouldnt go as far as say that this blog is “lifeless” without me, lol.
To be honest, I enjoy a good debate. While challenging at times, I feel that having to defend your position on any subject matter is a good thing that should be welcomed by others. I dont take it as a personal insult when someone challenges my view on something. Debate can be a healthy thing.

“Thats as questionable as Soriano coming out today…”
I didn’t mind him coming out to pitch to one guy today. Had he not pitched today that would have been 3 days without pitching and a well rested Soriano pitching in a close game bothers me almost as much as a Soriano who has pitched in 3 straight games.
With Lowe pitching tomorrow, nothing is ever assured with him and Soriano might be needed to lock down a close game. So him getting in a little bit of in-game work is good.

Rob from SC………..as I stated before, I know that all teams lose games they should win during a season. However, what gets me is obvious instances of Bobby Cox mismanaging the Braves. From being loyal to BUMS who SUCK A$$……….to misusing the bullpen…..to having Matt Diaz come in and “pinch bunt” in a game against Chicago (instead of using Javier Vazquez or Jair Jurrjens to pinch bunt)………….to taking out Tommy Hanson after cruising through 8 innings against Houston, ahead 1-0…………that is where I feel that my criticisms are justified.

WAYNE, WAYNE what you been smokin’ dude? LOL. BC’s frayed a bit this year in bull-pen management and sticking with players he trusts, but IMO he looks at it as giving them a chance to succeed, or to redeem themselves. Some do well in that environment and some don’t. It’s cool.

Rob from SC……….do you really think that Bobby Cox is primarily responsible for the Braves improvement this season? If the Braves had a manager who wasnt afraid of benching BUMS who SUCK A$$ (instead of having his hand forced by injuries, trades, etc)………….then we would have already clinched a playoff spot by now.
Again, the Braves are still in contention DESPITE Bobby Cox, not because of him. Frank Wren did a fantastic job of remaking the roster and Bobby Cox still found a way to mismanage this team for a good part of the season.
The way we are playing now should have been evident earlier in the season. Bobby Cox held this Braves team back by not benching the BUMS who made our offense stall in quicksand.

I give LaRussa credit, he’s showing a lot of faith in a pitcher who has earned it this year. 18 wins this season can do that for a pitcher.

I dont see why the Braves cant win on out, I think the Marlins are out and they know it therefor they arnt going to play AS HARD as they would. And I think the nationals at the end will just play to get this season over. I think if the Cards win tonight and tomorrow, the Rockies will be crused and lose 2 of 3 vs the Brewers and Dodgers will murder them, I think we got this.. BELIEVE!!!! and praying wont hurt.
