Willie Harris and Pete Orr obviously understand the importance of this game to their former team…..give a big assist to Willingham too…… 2 gift runs early and Lannan already over 30 pitches….I feel for Stan Kasten.
OK, I cann retype it now:
Thanks for that stat, Chief! I knew he had been doing better in that spot since the Break, but I didn’t realize he had been doing that good!
Yeah, they sent that for me…they knew I was upset after Wednesday.

$10 bucks says Willie Harris gets picked off or caught stealing.

That inning was amazing. Are we playing the Washington Nationals or the Washington Generals. I really think we could sweep them for 7-0.
Wow, DOB, blowin my mind with the names in that Dodgers-Marlins trade. Weird times indeed.
This is barely a major league team Epi
man I hate to see comments like that about opponents. Just tempting the baseball gods too much
September 25th, 20097:24 pm
I forgot one other fairly prominent guy on that 108-loss Marlins team. Mark Kotsay.

Strikeout King v Strikeout King…
Nova Scotia Steve - Fight Like A Brave
Dunn just missed that one….I didn’t think it was ever going to come down
September 25th, 20097:26 pm
woo hoo final stretch run… geesh 10-0 might just do it, Rocks to stop rolling ….. we have a smidgen of a chance with this run of games vs Nats…
Ryan Zimmerman just came out to Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody,” the song McCann used briefly as his intro music at Turner Field.
September 25th, 20097:27 pm
Nats announcers in the first inning
Ist guy” heres Diaz, didn’t he hit a homerun against us last time”
2nd guy “oh, I’m sure he did”
I think McCann interfered with his bat because he doesn’t like him using the Kings of Leon song.
September 25th, 20097:28 pm
keylargo………we just disagree on the value of on base percentage. I’m not saying that OBP isnt valuable. I’m saying that it isnt the overriding factor.
Batting average, slugging pct, and RBIs, and runs scored also are important stats as well. Greg Norton is batting .200, slugging .200, knocked in 2 runs, and scored 1 run since the All-Star Break more than override Norton’s .385 OBP since the Break.
Would someone please teach Mr. McCann how to freakin catch, please?! Catcher’s interference, passed ball, poor throw to second, passed ball slow throw to second, passed ball…
Its not really the most uplifting song to walk up to the plate in my opinion.
Kinda sappy & gay
September 25th, 20097:29 pm
Thank you paul!
And I like KOL
September 25th, 20097:30 pm
One E away from tying his career-high…
Something about when he gets one CI called on him, he’s gotta get another one called on him within a week. But the good news is it won’t happen again for two years…
McCannnnnn Cannnnnn't Catch Cannnnnn He
Move the fat tortoise to 1st base, catch Ross, use the excess monies to sign a big hitting LF not names Loafie
Could someone teach McCann how to call a game? Strikeout, K, Strikeout, Pop, Strikeout, I MEAN COME ON!!!

YE19 Catcher’s interference, passed ball, poor throw to second, passed ball slow throw to second, passed ball…
Well now when was all this going on?
McFann, don’t worry about that one. Easy thing to do, I would think.
dogsbrekky thinks McCann is our best
McCannnnnnnnnn – your comment is going to get some real love, real soon
September 25th, 20097:32 pm
I have a feeling that trade rumors will rule the night, as this game is going to be a possible yawner.
Looks like Lannan’s night might be cut short… I wonder how good the Nats bullpen is…?
If only there were a website were I could find this information…
September 25th, 20097:33 pm
Who the heck is Ye19? How dare he make such comments about Mac???
There’s no such thing as a “fat” tortoise, brah.
Yeah…those E’s just irritate me. But what E doesn’t, right?
September 25th, 20097:34 pm
Wayne – had some nice lamb loin chops tonight, have some left over so if it gets boring, I am going to bury the old gob in another plate of those little lamb beasts
I thinkin its a good thing we got those runs!
September 25th, 20097:35 pm
Ugh! NOW they start playing passable defnese!
Ah, let ‘im go, he thinks he’s so funny!…he’s breaking me up. “Hardy-har, hardy-har!”
If Greg Norton could run or play some defense…..then him having a decent OBP would be tolerable. However, the ONLY thing he can do is work the occasional walk. Given the fact that he cant hit anymore, he simply is a waste of a roster spot.
September 25th, 20097:36 pm
<i.But what E doesn’t, right?
Those 3 National ones didn’t bother me
Franceour putting the mutts up with a three run bomb…
Let’s win this one Braves!
Why does Tyler Hansbrough need to be in that commercial? Seems like they could do fine with a regular commercial actor in that one.
Wayne I have a feeling that trade rumors will rule the night
Yeah! Trade McCann! He [stiiiinnnnks]……brah.
September 25th, 20097:38 pm
Ha, that’s true…
But sometimes I get irritated when they call errors on the other team because it takes hits and/or RBI from our guys.
September 25th, 20097:39 pm
Anyone see the Housewives… Is Big Poppa getting back together with the stripper troll ?
I need to know these things !
September 25th, 20097:40 pm
That’s the 19th walk of Pete Orr’s career. On his 531st career PA.
desibrave………..nice 6:53pm posting. You forgot to mention Jeff Bennett.
September 25th, 20097:41 pm
He also has a career .292 On-Base Percentage.
man … that was a strike1!!
September 25th, 20097:42 pm
Why doesn’t Sports South have a K zone thingy?
September 25th, 20097:43 pm
Baseball America started its Top 20 prospect rankings for each league this week, starting from lowest leagues and moving up. They’re doing one every day or two, and have covered three leagues so far. Of those three leagues, the Braves have the top prospect in two — catcher Christian Bethancourt was rated No. 1 in the Gulf Coast League and right-hander Julio Teheran of Danville was No. 1 in the Appalachian League. (The other top 20 was from the Arizona League; Braves don’t have an affiliate out there, obviously)
September 25th, 20097:45 pm
There you go, McFann!
lefty Tyler Stovall was also in the Appy League top 20, at No. 16.
That should make you feel better, McFann
Ha, how about that throw.
GREAT throw!! Gettin’ Pete Orr…
Nice throw by McCann. Looks like he’s been doing a little work on his throwing.
September 25th, 20097:46 pm
HOWS THAT FOR A THROW!!!???
Also mentioned in the Appy League rankings are Tyler Stovallm(16), Mycal Jones(17), and Brett Oberholtzer(20). The article mentions two other Danville Braves that had break-out seasons who missed the cut, blog favorite Riaan Spanjer-Furstenburg and Chris Masters.
wow a little help from the mets….nice
September 25th, 20097:47 pm
I do love McCann – purely platonically, of course !
Where is Christian Guzman?
fish trailing the mutts early on
I bet Teheran is the Braves’ number 1 prospect in 2011.
September 25th, 20097:48 pm
what’s good about mccann’s play is that now next inning the pitcher bats first.
Yeah! That was a great throw…one of his best.
Much better! Much better…
BMac threw out Pete Orr in Gwinnett during BMac’s rehab game!
Not just the Mets – Jeff Francouer – 3 run HR
September 25th, 20097:49 pm
Never like saying this, but GO METS!!!!
September 25th, 20097:50 pm
Chipper strikes out.. and then head towards the Nationals dugout!
September 25th, 20097:51 pm
McCann has proven too prone to passed balls, particularly down and to his left. He needs some more defensive work in the offseason. Helluva throw to nail Orr, though. And now a base knock. Nice work.
Random question DOB… Does Chipper golf right handed or left handed??
it’s like GO: Mets, Cards, Cubbies, Brewers, Dodgers etc…
September 25th, 20097:52 pm
Wheres the shift now?? HA!
I feel like an old lady here, but I gotta say: Tommy Hanson is too cute
On Mac… Down and to his right, I meant.
You read my mind. Y’all hush. Have I taught you people nothing this season?
Katie – thats right, the tool race used to be on the video board, I forgot about that. Shows how much attention I pay. All I knew is that it wasn’t new. At least not all the way new.
September 25th, 20097:53 pm
MAC gets a stolen base
Here come the Toma Hawks? Oh…Oh……
Mac with a stolen base! I guess he heard all the hate people were givin him here
quick first step
Hahahahaha, gotcha Lannan
I love these irrelevant Braves real life stories…
Sorry for the double post… It’s the crack…..
September 25th, 20097:54 pm
Nice single by BMac…GREAT steal. Dangit, GA.
Hey, woulda been on here sooner, but that paint-ball stuff was funny.
I wonder if Yunel played paintball.
When was the last time Mac…
Drew a walk?
Threw out a runner?
Went the other way?
Stole a base?
September 25th, 20097:55 pm
He’s gonna work, don’t worry.
September 25th, 20097:56 pm
Mcann might not be te best catcher ever, but he calls a damn good game and is a great hitter.
Lannan already at 63 pitches through 3 innings. Getting into the Nationals bullpen early would be a nice way to set the tone for the weekend.
September 25th, 20097:57 pm
Care to guess what Vazquez was doing 2-1/2 hours before the game tonight?
Playing Guitar Hero in the players’ lounge. I mean, he was into it. Sitting there staring intently at the big flat-screen on the wall, rocking away on the little black guitar. He wasn’t laughing, smiling, anything. He was serious.
September 25th, 20097:59 pm
Great curveball by Vazquez to strike out Harris.
Won’t see the mets until next year soo GO Mets!!! Sweep the Fish!
The stats that are important are the ones that count on fantasy baseball! Didn’t you know that…..dummy!WaynefromUtah
Well, thank you so much Brah! I’ve been called everything in the book tonight and I want you to know that yours is the highest compliment I have received! I’m thrilled
Yeungling + pretzels = good dinner
September 25th, 20098:00 pm

Has anyone read the new Satchel Paige Biography?
September 25th, 20098:01 pm
Nice, quick inning by Vazquez there. 42 pitches through 3 innings.
I’m still waiting to see if Frank Wren is going to get consideration for “Executive of the Year” award.
