Actually I work nights, Wednesday is the only night I’m off. I usually read the blogs when I get off around midnight, but I won’t respond to a post from several hours sooner. As far as calling me a fair-weather fan, I’ve been watching the Braves since the 72-73 season. Although I lived 5 hours away (I now live 2 hours away) I would go watch at least 4 or 5 series a year.
I’m like you. I know we need a change, however it’s not going to happen. The only thing we can do is put up with it. Bitching about it is not going to change the fact that he’s here for 1 more year, so we just have to learn to deal with it.
Yep, that’s the plan. I’ve already got the dual receiver, so just gotta get the TV. I’d ask for it for Christmas, but I’ve just about got him on the hook for my jersey. Just gotta decide if it’s gonna be McCann or Hanson.
That was intended for you and about 2 dozen others. You seem to be a smart enough guy, except for your one obsession. Can’t you go back in time and see that what I am saying is true?
And Paul Dense (I use a variation of your name so you won’t respond to me on purpose), there was a line from a Shakespeare play that suits you perfectly: it is a tale told by and idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing….
The Rockies don’t quit in the 5th inning and they don’t play the Padres like the padres are a pushover. Get back to us if the Padres are still up after the Rox bat in the 9th.
Any list of reasons addressing the issue of whether Bobby Cox should retire or why we won’t make the playoffs this year is really a list of why we should be going to the playoffs.
We have a pitching staff worthy of the World Series and an ability, when everyone does their job, to beat just about anybody. It’s not to say we’re a first place team but it doesn’t help when you have a third place manager.
I will tell you what it is, they are good at playing in that park, its definite home field advantage for them. I know, I know, the other team has the advantage as well, but what I am saying is that the Rox know how to use that park to their advantage.

Nats knocked off the Dodgers?? What constitutes as ‘knocked off’ in your book? They hit a walk off sac fly, not really killing them there, and they lost 14-2 the night before.
jeffrey, the Rockies scored 2 runs and loaded the bases, plus the game is in Denver . . . they were “mounting” a comeback, they just didn’t complete it that inning.
