The Mets were 108-54 that year.
The fact that the Braves had six 100-win campaigns during their run and didn’t win a World Series in any of those seasons has not left me bitter.
Okay. I’m lying.
September 22nd, 200911:58 pm
Hey, now! If anyone gets a facepalm, it’s you. You pulled the Yankees crap again!
Buckner was it? That it went through his legs?
September 22nd, 200911:59 pm
I went to the 40’s because he confused me. He made it sound like Brandon was going in the right direction when he said sixty something.
September 23rd, 200912:00 am
So what was the purpose of the last question if this one’s worth 2,000?
I was 4 years off with my guess. You were 40.
September 23rd, 200912:02 am
I told you, he confused me. Completely threw me off. Besides, you were still wrong.
I total up the points…
I remember the ‘86 World Series. I was six at the time. My Red Sox fan dad was too scared to watch Game 6. I think he made the right decision.
September 23rd, 200912:03 am
Still closer. We’re going horseshoe scoring here
What 3 teams has Barry Bonds not hit HRs against?
If you give a funny response, I’ll give you 50 blog points…

September 23rd, 200912:04 am

I don’t do funny. That’s all Chop Chop. I can do sarcastic.
September 23rd, 200912:05 am
For 2,000 blog points:
What 3 teams has Barry Bonds NOT hit HRs against?
Sorry, I had to hit the can for about 45 minutes…I started getting pregnant pauses, So I had to do what I had to do…I just responded back to your message
I dunno why but I have Pretty Ricky’s “Grind on Me” song in my head…
September 23rd, 200912:07 am
I think Jeffrey D can be funny, sometimes…
Brandon from Warner Robins
Royals, Nationals, Rays
September 23rd, 200912:08 am
He didn’t cry. He was a fan in ‘67 and ‘75, so he knew the drill. I think he just wanted one of his kids (me, because I was the sports nut) to let him know what happened. It probably didn’t help that I was really excited and happy that the Mets won. After all, Albany, Georgia’s own Ray Knight scored the winning run in the game. That’s exciting stuff for a six-year-old.
“Baby, grind on me, relax your body baby, life is sweet…’
Tomahawkin no worries! been watchin Bernie Mac show and tryin to answer JJ’s questions. lol
September 23rd, 200912:09 am

Yup, Brandon. 5 GB.
What are you guys doing, playing a little blog trivia?
Someone needs to come up with a good drinking game for the blog. Too bad Frenchy is gone because I could have invented an entire game just based on him.
Diaz would be another fun one as well. I’m not cracking on him, it’s just he makes everything interesting. Fielding, batting, running the bases etc, doesn’t matter what he’s doing he’s entertaining to watch.
September 23rd, 200912:34 am
Chop Chop is right, Bonds hit a HR of Wakefield, point officialy suspended… Tough luck, now you know of JJ feels, New Question: Which Atlanta pitcher has given up more HR to Barry Bonds? (AS A BRAVE)

Guess you gotta defend your tardies record, eh?
September 23rd, 20091:02 am
I’d been writing a few songs, and in one of them the intro sounded a little Spanish, so I wanted to expand on that. I’d been listening on Youtube to some Spanish music on classical guitars to get an idea of strumming and melodies. I really like the music this guy wrote.
September 23rd, 20091:03 am

September 23rd, 20091:13 am
Yes, Go Angels!!
September 23rd, 20091:21 am
Salamander: You mentioned Jermaine Dye and his terrible second-half numbers. Another that many wanted the Braves to pursue last winter was Pat Burrell. He’s hitting .232 with a .385 slugging percentage and .714 OPS.
September 23rd, 20091:29 am
Go Angels indeed…
September 23rd, 20091:30 am

My Favorite Teams:
