The Mets were 108-54 that year.
The fact that the Braves had six 100-win campaigns during their run and didn’t win a World Series in any of those seasons has not left me bitter.

He didn’t cry. He was a fan in ‘67 and ‘75, so he knew the drill. I think he just wanted one of his kids (me, because I was the sports nut) to let him know what happened. It probably didn’t help that I was really excited and happy that the Mets won. After all, Albany, Georgia’s own Ray Knight scored the winning run in the game. That’s exciting stuff for a six-year-old.

Someone needs to come up with a good drinking game for the blog. Too bad Frenchy is gone because I could have invented an entire game just based on him.
Diaz would be another fun one as well. I’m not cracking on him, it’s just he makes everything interesting. Fielding, batting, running the bases etc, doesn’t matter what he’s doing he’s entertaining to watch.

I’d been writing a few songs, and in one of them the intro sounded a little Spanish, so I wanted to expand on that. I’d been listening on Youtube to some Spanish music on classical guitars to get an idea of strumming and melodies. I really like the music this guy wrote.
