I like the way Soriano flips the ball from his glove to his right hand.
P-Lentz is Back…?
Where da hell have you been at…?
Did you get Bozo’d again when I was absent for 2 weeks…?
And what were your thoughts on the phillies series…?
Brandon from Warner Robins
Just getting in. So whats happened? What did I miss?
September 22nd, 20099:48 pm
Francouer ties the game up?
Oh look….they got me too.
By the way, Rockies starting pitcher tonight was Jorge De La Rosa. Next time you’re in trouble with your wife, girlfriend, significant other, whisper his name in your best Spanish accent in her ear. It’ll get ya out of hot water every time.
Will the real MFIKY please, please show up tonight.
September 22nd, 20099:49 pm
I swear, If Sorry-ano blows this one to the AAA “Latin Kings” I’m gonna listen to some old Whitney Houston “The Greatest Love of all and Cry” instead of having a BF!
Keep going like that Soriano. There is no need to make it interesting here.
Awww, jeffrey. You should be flattered too.
Frankies up….Swoons……Jerk Jerk Jerk…..Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
JJ 7 innings 1 run (gets him to 200 innings on the year and lowers his ERA to 2.70. Esco 2 RBI. Padres are beating the Rockies 6-5 in the 3rd.
September 22nd, 20099:50 pm
Well, at least Jeff can’t tie it up.
Brandon Just getting in. So whats happened? What did I miss?
Braves are winning 3-1 (two-run single for Escobar in the 4th, RBI for LaRoche in the 9th) and BMac left the game a couple innings after getting a ball fouled off the bottom of his left wrist. He’s day-to-day with a bone bruise.
jeffrey d………….not trying to be “quiet”. I’ve just been too busy this month to post on blogs.
September 22nd, 20099:51 pm
Appreciate that Tiger Woods. How did we score out 2(?) runs? Been in the library studying and working on projects for Brit Lit.
Sure am glad to see Yunel still in the game and not on the bench with a strained calf or the dreaded groin pull. It’d still be 2-1, and I’d be sweating MFIKY’s 9th inning appearance. Not much room to play with here, Rafael.
CB, can you just go through the CPU and give my imposter a “Bootin DDT”?
September 22nd, 20099:52 pm
DOB – can you please get rid of this perverted troll?? He posted as Tomahawkin at 9:31 and 9:38, now he’s posting as me at 9:49 after I said something about him.
I don’t mind so much that they’re taking my name. I just hate this disgusting perverted crap.
Someone must be really bored. Seriously?
I gotta admit though, that “…Saddlescores…. “ thing was kinda funny.
Still like Jeff, but darn it was good to see him K there
September 22nd, 20099:53 pm
YES Sheffield is up
They are bumin that “Here I Go’ By Mystikal! One of the best rap songs of the 90’s!
Is MFIKY back?
That was nice, thanks Francoeur, anyone spare a cigarette.
It’s all gravy, Paul. It’s just we haven’t heard from you in forever, then out of nowhere you make this quiet, ordinary comment.
September 22nd, 20099:54 pm
jeffrey – just ignore it. We know it’s not you.
I meant to say Bumpin That, or Cranking That!
You got it, buddy.
Sorry Tomahawkin but im gonna have disagree with ya on “Here I Go”. Cant stand that song!! lol
September 22nd, 20099:55 pm
Careful, Soriano. Don’t let Santos get to you, man.
Little out. Frenchy is still swinging at pitches in the left-hand batter’s box and ankle high
September 22nd, 20099:56 pm
MFIKY needs to pitch high and in more often and more consistently…
Woah… walked a has been
Brandon From Warner Robbins
WHATTTT, I love that song It’s good before the beginning of a football game
Mystikal is on there killing it for about 5 and a half minutes in that song, Beats the hell out of that Pop-Tart Lil Wayne Garbage that is Way Overrplayed today!
Tomahawkin, Me, you and Frankie , a Beef Burger.
I hate fielders indifference, no matter what team allows it.
Well done, MFIKY!
September 22nd, 20099:57 pm
I guess a 1-2-3 is just beyond the realm of possibility with Soriano these days.
Whew! That was close, but MFIKY got the job done. Pretty good game, over all.
Gotta go do the dishes and hit the bed. Good night, all!
10 of 12 and thanks to Bobby Cox it couldn’t matter less.
September 22nd, 20099:58 pm
In a 1 – 0 game, Does the guy who hits the HR get player of the game, or does the pitcher?
Yay, Braves! Great win.
Now I agree with ya on Lil Wayne cant stand him or his music. But I prefer Tupac, Notorious B.I.G, Dr. Dre etc. All the new stuff aint very good.
What the H does MFIKY mean?
TnBrian(Vazquez ace 2010)
September 22nd, 20099:59 pm
Mitchell, you have me laughing hard with that at 9:57! True True
September 22nd, 200910:00 pm
Strikes out the side with a walk thrown in for excitement. Entertaining.
MFIKY = Mutha Fu*** I Kill You
September 22nd, 200910:01 pm
You’re welcome, Brandon!
September 22nd, 200910:02 pm
By the way, TWO runs were enough…. because the bullpen did their job.
September 22nd, 200910:03 pm
Never been a fan of ‘MFIKY.’
I mean, an acronym for a dude’s name? meh. Lukewarm.
I preferred DOB’s “the Scowl.”
6-6 Rockies, Padres top 4
O.K. Great game JJ, MOYLAN, SORIANO, ESCOBAR, PRADO, and LaROCHE. Keep it coming. TG I get to see seven of the next 11 as the NATS are always on cable here. Let’s go 13-0 to closew out the ROCKIES. It can be did.
The people that highjack names are SO annoying…
Ryan Howard flys out to the 434 sign…
Incredible. Marlins win…
September 22nd, 200910:04 pm
Tomorrow’s game is very important. If the Braves can finish off the sweep against the Mets by beating Pelfrey, then if the Braves are indeed worthy of putting pressure on the Rockies……then it should be a given that we should sweep the 7 remaining games against the Nationals. Their pitching sucks. Our pitching is superior to theirs.
Normally it’s hard to assume that a team is going to win 7 in a row against any team in baseball. However, I can actually see the Braves winning 7 in a row against the Nationals.
That would leave the 3 games next week against the Marlins as toughies.
I’d be happy if the Padres win one of these 3 games against the Rockies.
September 22nd, 200910:05 pm
Two runs is never enough…
September 22nd, 200910:06 pm
Brandon From W Robbins
I guess you weren’t big on the old Master P, TRU, Mystikal, and Mia X (Momma Mia!) that was hot from 96-99? No…?
And You gotta give some love to some old Warren G and Nate Dogg as well as Naughty by Nature, Queen Latifah among others…?
Padres have beaten up the ROckies this season.
September 22nd, 200910:08 pm
After Getting Clowned by the Phillies last weekend, The Reds 3 weeks ago and the Padres, You actually think Los Bravos still have a Chance?
If so, then you just WOW’d the Hell out of me, You are normally one of the most critical posters on here…
September 22nd, 200910:09 pm
Heather sprung a leak last night and is out for repairs.
Aww. That sucks man…
September 22nd, 200910:10 pm
Tomahawkin, Master P TRU Warren G. and Nate Dogg ill agree.
Not familiar with Naughty by Nature. I’ll give em a listen if i can find em.
September 22nd, 200910:11 pm
Paul, good post @ 10:04. Agreed.
September 22nd, 200910:12 pm
Ah well…nice to win the series against the Mets. Hopefully they cann pull off a sweep tomorrow…good ol’ Pelfrey…
September 22nd, 200910:14 pm
Not familiar with Naughty by Nature. I’ll give em a listen if i can find em
You born in the 90’s or something? They were huge in 1992-93.
September 22nd, 200910:15 pm
In case you don’t recognize the stands taken here, it is that ole loser Dadgum…….also know as ROCKGUM
Here you go again RockGum. Let’s go back and see what you’ve been saying lately.
I think Wren needs to look at all avenues to keep Vazquez and Hudson as I have stated many times. RockGum 8/21 10:29
You told us MANY TIMES to sign Vazquez AND HUDSON
Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against Hudson but I am not mortgaging the farm and trading away Vazquez to be replaced by Tim Hudson. RockGum 8/21 2:38pm
This time it’s sign Vazquez but NOT HUDSON.
That will be Hudson’s job this year…to prove he is back and I for one am not going to annoint a start to someone coming off TJ and put him in a must win game (which all are from this point on). Gotta stick with KK, IMO, he ain’t that bad. RockGum 8/6 2:49pm
Hudson is not the way to go but KAWAKAMI seems like a good bet.
I am counting on nothing from Hudson this year but I am counting on seeing the big bats from the minors arrive to add lumber to the bench. RockGum 8/17 1:03pm
Counting on NOTHING from HUDSON but “BIG LUMBER” Conrad is coming to save us.
With Hudson (as with Glavine as with Smoltz) it is clearly not what you have done but what will you most likely be able to contribute. We know what Vazquez will give us in 2010 but regardless of how much Hudson will get to pitch (if any) this year I just can’t see the Braves picking up his option at 12 mil. RockGum 8/21 1:42pm
Now it’s NO HUDSON but I’ll take Vazquez again. Is there a stance you will not take if given enough time and a little success? I bet you’re back on the Prado bandwagon now that he is on a seven game hitting streak. And you forgot the 240/280/380/660 second half before.
September 22nd, 200910:17 pm
Well I have to go to bed too, I need to cut down on my tardies before I get dropped, but you don’t have the problem, but you don’t have that problem, do ya McFann?
Salamander I was born in 1990 so thats a little before my time i guess lol
September 22nd, 200910:19 pm
DOB… thanks for the notes on the state of the Braves’ white shirts. (I’m always wondering what their thoughts are on the state of the team.) And a great article on Matty D! aka… the best kept secret in baseball.
Don’t know how the Braves fuzzies see it… but in ‘10 Matty D’s in my outfield fulltime. I ask you “what does a man have to do to prove his worth?”
And for whoever earlier stated that they would hate to see Matt at the plate in a meaningful at bat in the 7th game of the WS… well, for my $$$ I can name only one or two who I would rather see in that situation. He can look so bad on one pitch only to look so good on the next one… as good as anybody I’ve ever seen in that position… and the man’s never seen a pitch that he didn’t like.
Putting it simply… Matty D can rake! And kudos to him for going against the grain… on this blog anyway… and saying some very good and positive things about the best manager to ever don player’s cleats and a catcher’s mitt in the dugout!!
September 22nd, 200910:25 pm
I used to get a lot of tardies.
September 22nd, 200910:26 pm
Ahh, Philly won that game, moves the Braves ahead of Florida into third in wild-card race
September 22nd, 200910:27 pm
McFann =Ô= –
‘night Hon. Don’t forget to wear those lucky jammies again!
Brandon From W. Robbins…
WOW, You Don’t Know About Naughty By Nature?
They were on MTV all the time when MTV was Good!
Even D.O.B. knows that old Naughty by Nature still goes Hard!
And I guess you don’t know nothing about some old D.J. Quik and M.C. Eiht, Old West Coast Rap before it got big…
I need to take you under my wing when it comes to the ol school underrated rap before it became all about making money!
My attendance was impeccable.
September 22nd, 200910:28 pm
Weren’t the Marlins leading that game at one time?
Thanks for the great story on Matt… do you think his defense has improved too? I recall Huddy teasingly called him Magellan a few years ago for the routes he takes to catch a ball… I know he has dropped a few, but my sense is he is pretty solid, not a defensive liability, pretty good arm, really hustles, improving. Did he really do the P90X in the off-season? As you probably recall, I am a fan… he asked me if I got my Diaz t-shirt at Good Will… a year later, I got him to sign it for me.
Are you taking the day off in NY or DC? Thanks, Bruce
September 22nd, 200910:29 pm
Brandon from W. Robbins…
Ur only 19…?
You better enjoy it before you turn 21…
Its much better partying when you’re underage…It goes downhill when you turn 21, “Bank On It!”
September 22nd, 200910:30 pm
Tomahawkin – I’m willing to learn ha ha.
Well, my attendance was okay until senior year. Then, it all went downhill.
Perfect attendance, jeffrey?
September 22nd, 200910:32 pm
Nah, it wasn’t really.
Rockies are back up
September 22nd, 200910:34 pm
Stupid Rockies. Lose dammit.
September 22nd, 200910:35 pm
Megan Fox and U2 on SNL this week. Excellent!
September 22nd, 200910:36 pm
Giants are losing bad!
I set my Middle Schools and HS’s record for most tardies and poorest attendance, but I’m one of the smartest “kids” you’ll meet…
September 22nd, 200910:40 pm
Well Brandon From W. Robbins…
Check me on Facebook’s D.O.B. Blog group…You find me on there, send me a message…
There’s something to be proud of
September 22nd, 200910:42 pm
Every time the D-Backs score 6 or more run, ARZ gets 3 free tacos from taco bell…JEALOUS!!!
Congratulations? Why’d you put quotation marks around kids?
September 22nd, 200910:43 pm
Eep! Well you’re still young with plenty of time to develop some taste.
Megan Fox is hot in a “Wow this girl is a total slut. I hope I didn’t get the herp!” kind of a way.
September 22nd, 200910:44 pm
Because he doesn’t think of himself as a kid and doesn’t want to be thought as such by others.
Damn Son, You are too young to know about the old “Booty Shake” Genre of old 90’s rap
Some old Too Short, Raheem the dream, D.J. Majic mike, etc…OMG
Man you were 6 years old when Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott became hot as solo artists
Not “proud” per say, but I did test 99% better than the nation in mathematics, science, and literature
September 22nd, 200910:45 pm
You know who else is better than 99% of the people?
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
