Daybed: Another reason I hate the Mets for having a night game in the series finale. McMurtry at the Bowery Ballroom would be excellent (of course, McMurty in any venue is excellent). But I’ll be out here in Flushing until 11 p.m. or midnight, unfortunately.

KJ and Uggla make about the same this year – and have about the same amount of ML experience. So, a trade would likely include a bit more from our side going down to the Fish.

I mean, obviously I wouldn’t want him to play if he wasn’t gonna be able to (as he would say) “swing the bat”, but man! I’ve been waiting for this Pelfrey thing!
It’s like when they got to face Ian Snell back in April–BMac was half-blind so he wasn’t able to take full advantage of the match-up. (And now Ian’s in the AL.

Talked with some neighbors today from my old Woodstock neighborhood. We had a small creek at the back of our houses that flowed about 1/4 mile into Allatoona that they were calling a “raging torrent” now. Said the erosion in the backyards was awful.
On the bad, icy days, I used to hate making the decision whether or not to try to get to work off I-75 in Marietta. I guess some of you folks have had to make the decision about driving, not floating to work lately. Stay safe you guys.

Yeah, me. Jurrjens is totally underrated. He could have won 17-20 games both years. Got another gear on his fastball when he needs it. Throws 95. 95!! Sinker, slider, cutter, rider, change. Everything has quick movement. Poise, durability, confidence. Has a real feel for pitching.
He’s a joy to watch.

Daniel Murphy fouled a ball off BMac’s left wrist in the second inning. He stayed in the game and bunted in the fourth, but came out after that. He fouled one off before the bunt and made a face like it hurt to swing, so apparently that’s why he laid down a bunt.
