We got so screwed on that play (we=Giants)
Come on, Eli!
Welcome home Just protecting myself in your absence
JUST LET ALL STAY EXCEPT CHIPPER AND COX GET THEM OUT OF ATL FOR GOOD .CHIPPER LOOK LIKE HE HAS MOUTH OF SH— WHEN HE TALKS
September 20th, 20099:57 pm
Well McFann, you just say stuff like “shoot!” or “fiddlesticks!” (I’m not sure if you’ve ever actually said fiddlesticks, but no eyebrows would be raised if you did). It’s quite refreshing.
September 20th, 20099:58 pm
Sorry to our favorite Dallas fan, PL!
September 20th, 200910:00 pm
Before I make a comment designed to annoy her in the near future, I would like to congratulate cabravesfan for kicking my posterior in our football pool today. Well played, darling…
September 20th, 200910:01 pm
Thanks Maybe you should just copy my picks in the future…
umm, VJ, it’s pretty annoying when you’re watching and talking about another game while on a Braves blog
Well if I were a yankees fan I would be happy since their rookie hazing today was reported on and photographed today…
Robin looks like Corky Miller. Rookie? Dang.
Maybe the Braves didn’t do theirs today…maybe they’re doing it IN new york.
September 20th, 200910:02 pm
Oh, there was a big scene on here a while back when I said “fiddlesticks”! It was horrible.
It’s quite refreshing.
My pleasure! Haha…I’d get walloped if I used some of the language I’ve seen on here.
Dangit…I gotta shut down. I’ve had a lovely time at your party!
Night, all! (I keep thinking the Braves are off tomorrow…thank goodness they’re not!)
September 20th, 200910:04 pm
Yeah, I wanna see pictures of them dressed up…never seen that before…
Walloped? By what?
September 20th, 200910:05 pm
jeffrey d – you are correct my friend – what I meant to say was that the decision made in the bottom of the ninth inning today was atrocious (full disclosure – I did not see, or hear anything about, the ninth inning, but I’m sure it’s true)
I’m just dying to see Hanson and Medlen … don’t care about the rest, who are the rookies besides them anyway? Do Brooks Conrad and Reid Goreicki count?
By her dad?
RHR Walloped? By what?
My parents, for one…
Night, Soph! (This time I’m really leaving…)
September 20th, 200910:06 pm
Oh night McFann. Don’t get walloped.
maybe we will get lucky and LT will have had her spies take pictures for us…
Good night McFann!
Yeah, I think Med will be hazed the hardest.
…no I’m not!
RHR I’m just dying to see Hanson and Medlen
OK, I’m out…
September 20th, 200910:07 pm
What happens during a wallop? Is that kinda like the leave it to beaver version of ho sit down?
Night, RHR and cabravesfan!
Don’t worry…I won’t get walloped if I would just get off the computer!
September 20th, 200910:08 pm
VJ – I don’t believe anything big happened in the 9th.
And I was kidding about that, btw. I think it was last Saturday when I was watching the Georgia/USC game while on here. Georgia scored a TD around the same time that McCann doubled or something. The conversation went like this
McFann – Whoo! That’s my mann! RBI double!!
Soph – Yeah Big Mac! Sweet swing!
jeffrey d – TOUCHDOWN!!!
You don’t have to answer me about a wallop, I was just thinking aloud really.
Is that kinda like the leave it to beaver version of ho sit down?
Oh yeah, totally!
OK, seriously now…
September 20th, 200910:09 pm
RHR You don’t have to answer me about a wallop, I was just thinking aloud really.
September 20th, 200910:11 pm
I hope McFann’s parents call her “McFann”
Dad: McFann! Get off that computer! Don’t make me give you a wallopin’!
TnBrian(Vazquez ace 2010)
September 20th, 200910:16 pm
Wonder if the Cardinals will sign Holliday long term which might leave Ludwick available? Medlen/KJ/prospect(s) might work. Don’t have a clue what he’s making next year, but I know he wasn’t overly priced. Let Hudson & Soriano walk, sign Gonzo & LaRoche and you keep Vazquez.
jeffrey d – I knew you were kidding…
Do you remember when you asked a certain blogger if her backup quarterback could play for William and Mary – and her obnoxious response? I believe that she would trade Aaron Corp for R J Archer in a heartbeat right now (15 – 20 in 3 quarters, despite being hurt)
Sorry, darling, but, hey, karma’s a b%$#h
September 20th, 200910:18 pm
McFann said ho’ sit down! Indirectly – but she still said it!
I actually did remember that VJ. But I wasn’t going to say anything.
…..glad one of us did
Back up the crash truck, crank up the resuscitator and charge the paddles. The BRAVES are officially on life-support. Three losses in the next dozen games probably finishers any hope of a WC. Two gets us to 90 and a potential tie with the ROCKIES. The next two weeks will be interesting. It’s great to have some hope this late in the season again. GO BRAVES. We’re not dead yet.
September 20th, 200910:19 pm
Sounds like that’s grounds for a wallopin’
September 20th, 200910:22 pm
Obviously my analysis of a certain quarterback was based on faulty information…right now I would trade Aaron Corp for some used shoulder pads and Greg Norton
September 20th, 200910:24 pm
Wow. Poor Corp…
September 20th, 200910:27 pm
he was that bad…
Rally Turtle is now on the Facebook group, for those interested
September 20th, 200910:28 pm
I didn’t get the game here but I believe you. Will Barkley be back next week?
September 20th, 200910:29 pm
September 20th, 200910:30 pm
If Greg Norton plays QB like he bats, every ball he threw would spike about 4 feet in front of him
P. W. Hjort
September 20th, 200910:31 pm
Vazquez for D-Lee? It would suck to lose Vazquez. But…..
VJ! I need Eli to start flinging some TD’s. I’m already feeling like an idiot for not starting Palmer.
as long as he didn’t keep throwing into triple coverage…
September 20th, 200910:32 pm
I hope and pray every night that he will
September 20th, 200910:34 pm
cabravesfan – it was not your analysis of Mr. Corp that was at issue – it was your willingness to take a gratuitous shot at my alma mater (the second oldest institution of higher learning in this particular country) to prop up yours.
September 20th, 200910:35 pm
It’s Greg Norton…he’d probably throw it behind him
PWHjort, the Cubs would be stupid to not want Javy in a deal for Lee which is why I don’t like the idea to start with.
wasn’t a shot at W&M so much as it was at D-Iaa in general but I do stand corrected
September 20th, 200910:36 pm
behind is still better then to the other team :/
September 20th, 200910:37 pm
NO MORE BOBBY
September 20th, 200910:38 pm
I LOOK AT THE 2009 SEASON AS ONE LONG RAIN DELAY AND TARP COMES OFF IN 2010.
cabravesfan -are you so bored with me you have to talk top yourself on the blog?
September 20th, 200910:39 pm
to, not top – yes, I know
So at our DOB Blog Convention, do you think the all caps posters will actually yell everything they say?
Who is rally turtle?
September 20th, 200910:40 pm
as long as you know…
and I am not bored with you at all- in fact, I am finding you rather amusing right now
September 20th, 200910:41 pm
Of course they will
September 20th, 200910:43 pm
PLEASE Do not post EMMY spoliers on the blog! Us West Coasters have not seen them yet!
September 20th, 200910:44 pm
Speaking of W&M, my old schoolmate Glenn Close just won an Emmy!
September 20th, 200910:45 pm
Oops. That was funny.
September 20th, 200910:46 pm
cabravesfan – maybe in five weeks I will care
September 20th, 200910:47 pm
Soph – she knew it was coming…
yes, one day you will understand the meaning of “LIVE! (except on the West Coast)”
THAT is hilarious. It wouldn’t be as funny if it wasn’t those two.
September 20th, 200910:49 pm
You two think alike. It’s pretty funny. You’re so in synch.
September 20th, 200910:50 pm
If you guys get married, are you gonna invite us?
She’ll probably make me do it in California…
September 20th, 200910:51 pm
if you’re really nice… not Soph though- she hates both my teams (sorry dear- but there is still hope for you!)
It's The Internet
Maybe they are so in synch because they are the same person. After all it IS the internet.
Pschhh, invite? I’m going to be the wedding planner! I see red & yellow/gold for the bride. And…VJ, what are W&M’s school colors?
Of course I would…it rains too much in Georgia
September 20th, 200910:52 pm
Soph you can come as my guest
I’m hurt cab. So deeply hurt. Ask VJ who was the first person to think of you after USC lost yesterday?
DOB would have to be the priest
September 20th, 200910:53 pm
they are green & gold…might be too much like a christmas card? although a winter wedding…in 80 degree weather…maybe not
Thanks, jeffrey. Will you pay for my plane ticket too?
September 20th, 200910:54 pm
this is true…OK back on the guest list
Soph – You two think alike. It’s pretty funny. You’re so in synch.
Aided by Alexander Graham Bell’s invention…
September 20th, 200910:55 pm
Seeing as I’m broke from buying Norton’s batting machine, we’re taking bikes.
September 20th, 200910:57 pm
Metal detector eh?
you no longer have to buy that batting machine- Norton is going to be traded to USC for Corp, remember?
Dacula’s fine education strikes again.
September 20th, 200910:58 pm
True story (Atlanta-weather related) – I went to tutor at a student’s house today, and there were toadstools growing out of the welcome mat…
How about Vazquez for Prince Fielder? Or, if we go for an outfielder, Matt Kemp? Andre Ethier? Ryan Braun?
I don’t see the Brewers trading Braun – apparently he’s Mr. Milwaukee. That’d be like expecting the Braves to trade McCann or Hanson. Or Francoeu…uh, wait, nevermind.
Ugh, well we’ll need the batting machine for Corp then. He’s going to be needed off the bench.
September 20th, 200910:59 pm
Great, now I have to buy him a practice field
Hey now…it’s not common knowledge that Alexander Graham Bell invented the metal detector. That should give my high school bonus points. Although I doubt I learned that there
September 20th, 200911:00 pm
So, you have to sell your car, home, and functioning body parts.
September 20th, 200911:01 pm
not sure it would help…he can’t hit anything
September 20th, 200911:02 pm
Well, damn then we don’t want him. You can have Norton for free. Win-win situation for all.
Hey now…I saw several replays of him “hitting” some of the Washington players’ hands.
September 20th, 200911:03 pm
But I don’t want him either…a fair trade if you ask me
this is true but he wasn’t trying to…
September 20th, 200911:04 pm
You can have Kelly too. I know it’ll break jeffrey’s heart but we have to make this deal happen.
September 20th, 200911:05 pm
I can’t believe it – the first write-in vote winner in Emmy history – Best Drama Award goes to Sons of Anarchy!
cabravesfan – sorry – SPOILER ALERT
September 20th, 200911:06 pm
You’re not my guest anymore, Soph.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
