The store is not underperforming! As long as idiots continue to buy the inferior product, there is no incentive to change the product!
Continue to defend the inferior product! Keep the company in business by patronizing the establishment!
September 20th, 200911:56 am
No Danga, another person’s behavior is not an excuse for your own, but to criticize one’s behaviour while excusing someone elses behaviour (which is what you did by ignoring his entry) makes no sense.
Steve from OH

Continue to defend the inferior product! Keep the company in business by patronizing the establishment!
What if we enjoy watching the “inferior product?” What if we enjoy baseball? Is that allowed, or must we always blind idealists?
Outta here! Cya, Cox appologists and sub-par performance enablers!
September 20th, 200912:04 pm
U Can Tell, if you dislike the store so much, there are 29 other stores that would welcome your business. That’s the great thing about MLB, find a store that you like to shop in, and one in which you like the products. Develop a loyalty, or just shop from store to store, whichever one you think has the best merchandise or bargains. Driving yourself crazy about the store you are in when there are others that offer similar merchandise will just send you to an early grave.

Wjones–yeah, it’s kinda ironic when the haters try to get all deep and faux-insightful about things, and then you state the obvious and they have no answer…
NO MORE BOBBY
September 20th, 200912:08 pm
Funny how all the Bobby supporters say “he can stay as long as he wants” like they know what Wren is going to do for sure. None of us know what Wren is going to do (ask Glavine about that). My guess is he is waiting to see if Bobby pulls off the wild card. If he does then my guess is he is invited back next year and if not then I think Wren has a tough decision to make.
My point is Bobby supporters dont know anything more than those of us who want him gone so stop posting as if you have some top secret information.
September 20th, 200912:19 pm
Fair enough. None of us know for certain about the future nor is it our decision to make. Lets talk baseball. Any of you guys see this?
Amazing season that kid is having. For a comparison, Vazquez’s ERA+ is 143 this year.
And the haters know even less, because their thesis is flawed to begin with.
Y’all just can’t stand anyone who doesn’t blindly dispise the Guy responsible for a good bit of this team’s success over the past twenty years. They pretty much sucked when he took them over as GM, acquired the players needed to turn the franchise around, led them to the most wins and the most success as manager in all of their history (the longest tenure in MLB, BTW) and has brought them back to respectability when his payroll was slashed and players he really needed not brought back or acquired until this past off sesaon. Of course, none of you could have done better (and likely no one in baseball, either) if you even had the ability to be whereBobby is to begin with.
You all act like they have failed because he’s there, yet most of us with any sense of reality realize that without him, the past several years could easily have been much worse than they were. Y’all act like this team is the Pirates or Royals-teams with no success for so long, they forgot what it was even like. The Braves have had three seasons of close to .500 baseball. They have been mediocre and THAT is a far cry from being anywhere near as bad as y’all seem to think. Bunch of spoiled 20 somethings who think winning is their God given right-NOT something that happens to most fans if they’re damned lucky and have little sense of what true failure or suckhood really is. Go ask a Cubs or Pirates fan about what frustration REALLY is.
September 20th, 200912:20 pm
Soriano never talks to the press. I would have wanted to hear his explanation of why he had such a rough ninth.
White Blood Cells
September 20th, 200912:27 pm
I agree with everything you have said. But sometimes you have to let it go. No use in arguing with a stop sign.
September 20th, 200912:29 pm
I am truly surprised to see rants like the ones from U CAN TELL at 11:00 AM. Normally those are witnessed at 4:00 AM and it’s some completely drunk or wacked out individual that just can’t think straight. For it to happen at the time it did, U CAN, please lay off the “stuff” this early….. you soound like a raving maniac.
September 20th, 200912:31 pm
Top of the Sunday morning to ya. Tarp is on the field, what’s new. Don’t know what to tell you about the weather. Some said rain all day, some said a windown til 3:30 or 4. We’ll see.
Meantime, LaRoche is out of the lineup with a sore back. Escobar out with a sore elbow from getting hit by a pitch last night. McCann day off after night game.
1. McLouth CF
2. Prado 1B
3. Jones 3B
4. Diaz RF
5. Anderson LF
6. Infante SS
7. Ross C
8. Conrad 2B
9. Hanson P
I’ll get going on a new blog. Have it up in the next hour or so. Thx
September 20th, 200912:32 pm
Some people know why Bobby has been successful. He does not yield to immediate gratification, he tries to develope consistent roles. Why would anyone question his going to Soriano last night. We had a 6 run lead. It made me realize that his talent may be a little lacking. Blame him if you must, but reality is much different.
September 20th, 200912:33 pm
EntWhite Bood Cells-If only we had freaking stop signs that would occasionally STFU, it would be easier to remain silent. However, in view of the fact that the talking Stop Signs won’t shut up any time soon, I’ll go do something more productive- Almost anything else would be.
Go Braves. Keep the winning ways going. 6-0 or 6-4-who really cares? It’s the W in the correct column that really matters. Too bad some here can’t see the forest for the pine needles. Later.
September 20th, 200912:34 pm
Lord help us with this lineup..go get em Hanson!
September 20th, 200912:37 pm
We are on the same page. It is the forest for the needles thing. Well put.
September 20th, 200912:39 pm
Looks like runs will be at a premium today. Maybe somebody like Ross or Conrad has a great game. Very good teams get production from the least likely players & hopefully that’s what happens today.
dogsbrekky - Drogba is a Beast
September 20th, 200912:40 pm
Chelsea 6 games for 6 wins
Braves – let’s get this win today and then 6 in a row, give us all hope
Thanks for the lineup, Ms. Rogers. Hmm…Hope LaRoche and Escobar feel better by tomorrow.
September 20th, 200912:42 pm
Nothing wrong with this lineup. All of these guys are capable and maybe have an advantage since Lee has seen very little of them.
It amazes me that the Bobby Bashers have created an almost perfect argument for his handling of the bullpen:
If he uses any of the fab 4 (Soriano, Gonzo, EOF or Moylan) he is overusing the pen.
If he uses any of the other pitchers in the pen, he is trying to lose the game.
It is a perfect argument for the Bashers, they can complain no matter what he does!!
Chipper comes through today. He just has to.
September 20th, 200912:43 pm
Tarp is coming off. And there’s actually some sun out. I’m actually squinting.
Ms. Rogers Tarp is coming off. And there’s actually some sun out. I’m actually squinting.
September 20th, 200912:44 pm
We have to take 2 of 3 from the Phils and this is the lineup we run out there. Pathetic. Injuries be damned. Mac should be in the line up.
September 20th, 200912:45 pm
The old Diaz is a gunner, he guns ‘em down consistently and gets far too little love from most. Capt Cavemen, keep swinging son, we love you
September 20th, 200912:47 pm
This could be the worst lineup we have seen all year. It comes at the perfect time. Escobar and LaRoche should have sucked it up, we need them in there. McCann, well thats BC\’s fault.
Frankie Mac should be in the line up.
Well, he is batting only .217 against lefties this year, and Lee is one of the toughest lefties around, and today is a DGANG…
Besides, last time they played against Lee, while BMac did hit a single off him, he also K’d twice.
That’s not to say I don’t want him to play, though.
September 20th, 200912:48 pm
flange – , excellent points
Bobby has managed brilliantly since the AS break, the haters just cannot see it…
be interesting how he handles MFIKY in the next few days, but really outside of Moylan who will the haters trust to close out (given Gonzo’s back and MFIKY’s fatigue)… our 2nd tier bullpenners have NOT come through under pressure at all in ‘09… even the little dog has choked of late
September 20th, 200912:49 pm
After watching my Panthers pretty much embarrass themselves last week, I should be totally down about playing the Falcons who have a good QB and are coming off a week where they handled a playoff team from ‘08.
Hey but the Panthers are playing a team from Atlanta!
There is hope after all!
September 20th, 200912:52 pm
What ever happened to Buddy Carlyle?
September 20th, 200912:54 pm
Hehe, scratch those first two theories of mine–ssoR is batting .211 against lefties this year…
September 20th, 200912:56 pm
This would not be the worst game in the world to see a rain out and play it at the end of the season if it matters.
Still, with three starters out, that line-up doesn’t look half bad. Since Brooks Conrad is the savior of the season, it should be OK.
McLouth, Chipper, and “I’m justa Caveman” need to man up and put some quality ABs out there.
Hanson needs to pitch like the ROY he might be and shut the Philllies down for 7, 8, or 9 innings.
If Tommy H has low pitches in a tight game, I wonder if BC leaves himm in to finish, given the maximum suckage coming out of the bullpen against the Phillies.
September 20th, 200912:59 pm
Speaking of bullpen suckage, maybe the vacuum out there has been responsible for all those home runs hit. Hope we either don’t see the bullpen or they put it together today.
September 20th, 20091:05 pm
Lets go get ‘em, Braves!!!!!!
September 20th, 20091:08 pm
Random–I’ll give you that one. Hillman is pretty bad, too.
Nolie–I was referring to the fact that all season long, Bobby has used our top relievers in situations where there is absolutely no need to use them. Friday, we had only 1 of them available (and Bobby felt the need to save Moylan for a tie/lead situation rather than use him in a crucial situation to try to pull out the win in the bottom of the 8th/9th). So, does Bobby learn from that and try to keep his relievers fresh? No, he trots Soriano right back out there on Saturday with a 6-run lead. Why? Why is he still doing this? Because he wants Soriano to enter the game to start an inning? Does he really think we can’t hold a 6-run lead running someone else out there who doesn’t pitch as often?
I’ve always been a fan of Bobby, but he’s lost me this year.
September 20th, 20091:14 pm
We have to take 2 of 3 from the Phils and this is the lineup we run out there.
Hey now that’s a scrappy lineup. I like it.
TnBrian(Vazquez ace 2010)
September 20th, 20091:15 pm
If Chipper ever needed a big day, today is it. No LaRoche,Yunel or Mac? That Yunel injury is a little fishy to me. He got hit in on that elbow guard for God’s Sake! This is Bobby’s doings, I bet. Whatever, CJ needs to step up and do sonmething today.
September 20th, 20091:22 pm
Actually, I wish BMac was in the lineup, too…I feel like watching him play.
No biggie, though…as long as they win…
September 20th, 20091:24 pm
Gotta love Matty-D.
September 20th, 20091:27 pm
September 20th, 20091:31 pm
“I’ve always been a fan of Bobby, but he’s lost me this year.”
I used to be loyal to Bobby but the last 2 losses in the Postseason (2004-2005) turned me off and I’ve been a Cox Basher ever since
September 20th, 20091:34 pm
Speaking of scrappy.
Man, the old blog is slow this afternoon. Have all the deniziens moved to football?
September 20th, 20091:36 pm
Umm, Tommy H
September 20th, 20091:37 pm
I HATE VICTORINO
September 20th, 20091:38 pm
Football Reigns Supreme NOW
Only true fans weather we bash the players/mgmt or not remain on here all season
What A scrappy/crappy lineup we are running out there, we have no chance against Cy Lee
My Pick to Click will be Conrad and I actually think Chipper will come out, he has done little against the Phils this year and that’s odd
September 20th, 20091:39 pm
P. W. Hjort… Nice post at 10:35 a.m.
September 20th, 20091:41 pm
Oh yeah, If Howard is hitting with runners on WALK him and make Werth or Ibanez beat you
It didn’t matter to me that Sorry-ano pitched to him last night with a runner on because we were up 6-0 in that situation…
With a lineup today that will only give Big Red 1-3 runs Max we can’t have Howard Clowing us like he has been doing since the All-Star Break…
September 20th, 20091:42 pm
They are showing highlights of the 1999 World Series on The MLB Network
Oh the Agony!
Love it and Victorino gets thrown out of the game!!!! Gotta love that
Haha! No way they make that call if BMac’s catching!
But boo-yah, resulted in a strike ‘em out, throw ‘em out…THE REAPERS EJECTED!! Goodness and justice triumph!
September 20th, 20091:43 pm
The Flyin Midget… YOU’RE OUTTA HERE!!
..and McFann is happy
Forgot my ” ‘ “…
September 20th, 20091:44 pm
Yah…weird call that went our way payed off.
September 20th, 20091:46 pm
For once, we get the benefit of some foggy eyes.
would have been nice to get some of those calls earlier in the season but I’ll take them now
September 20th, 20091:47 pm
So Victorino got run, correct?
September 20th, 20091:48 pm
Way to go Hoss!
yes he did
September 20th, 20091:49 pm
Yeah There We Go Matty-D
About time we get some luck!
MATTY-DDDDDDDD. Loving that guy right now.

That was sweet
Matty for cleanup!!
new blog is up. sorry for delay!
It’s not pretty, but it’s fun to watch…
Van the Man
All the Braves seem to hustling so far, no loafing in sight
September 22nd, 200911:11 am
If we kept this exact team and line-up next year with a new manager (Bobby retired) we could go all the way. Get serious please! It’s time for Bobby to wait for his “hall of Fame” induction, and leave the coaching to some fresh new blood.
September 29th, 20098:56 am
It ain’t over til it’s over….GO BRAVES!
