Define :attitude” Wayne? Because some of my favorite players have attitudes. Many old timers had attitude too. Bob Gibson, Rose, Bowa, Carlton, on and on.
Speaking of gay… I saved this picture of Brian McCann buying Chipper Jones a fine bottle of Italian wine, and he looks into his eyes while giving it to him all sexy like…
CB – I haven’t picked on her since she got home – and only then to act like I can be as mean to her as anyone else… (plus, she semi-ignored me for the seventeen hours the game dragged on) And she was kind enough to stream the William and Mary postgame show for me, since my computer has issues…so I am very appreciative of that…
cb – au contraire, mon ami – we easily handled the excellent team from Norfolk State by less than we should have (27-15 – ak=lmost the score we beat Virginia by) – 3-0 now with huge game against Delaware next week
If you don’t know the difference between Bob Gibson “attitude” and Yunel Escobar attitude, then I am not going to explain it to ya.
Bob Gibson puts one in a guys’ ear when needed, and dares the hitter to come out to the mound.
Escobar dogs it going to first, and instead of answering a question or two, and having the whole thing minimized, he “hides” in the training room instead.
Different attitude, my friend. Gibby had it, Escobar doesn’t. Doesn’t mean he isn’t a good SS or hitter, but shows a lack of maturity and total commitment. Compare to Derek Jeter. World of difference.
Not saying you can’t keep a guy like that, but in my world, I deal him.
That’s a dodge Wayne. I asked you what YOUR definition of attitude was, not mine. But since you can’t answer the question you throw some b.s.? Save that and the racist stuff for your little sparring buddies because I’m not going to play that game with you.
You don’t want to answer, that’s ok, but don’t you come crying about how someone has misunderstood you when you can’t even articulate what he heck you mean. But thanks for the laugh dude.
Interesting reversal in the UGA-ArK game. No surprise, but interesting nonetheless.
IMO, in college especially, the refs waaaaayyyy over-protect the receiver on that call. Often, the ball really is caught, and then lost on the hit, but the officials tend to protect the receiver, almost as if they feel it is unfair to expect a guy to catch the ball, absorb a hit like that, and not fumble; so, they default by calling it an incomplete pass.
We have to keep Javy even if it means letting Huddy go. He’s clearly in his element here and put all his potential he’s had together here. I know it’s a career year, but he’s always struck a lot of guys out and always pitched a lot of innings. He seems to have put it all together in Atlanta. I hate the idea of letting Huddy go, but maybe that’s what they have to do. If you keep them both, how do you get that big bat?
cabravesfan – I appreciate your love of vertically challenged males, with over-sized hats – and, I will admit, his apparent-sisters appear to be cute, if they were who we thought they were.
Gorecki is another one of Bobby’s Boyz that he will keep on the team despite their performance or lack their of…
Yeah. I mean, what a bummer to have a guy around as a Sept. call-up that almost never plays except as a defensive replacement for GA in blowouts that definitely won’t be here next year. Woe is us!
Diaz, McLouth, Heyward makes perfect sense. When Schafer is ready (by mid-May he should have plenty of ABs), then McLouth to left and Diaz becomes a regular sub for all three. Unless he hits .320 again!
