Bobby Cox is NOT senile. Senile means that a person has lost mental faculties due to brain damage from aging. Cox, on the other hand, had zero mental faculties to lose from birth. It’s a miracle that he can pick his nose, soil his diaper, and breath , all at the same time

I’m not giving up, and I’m not looking to make excuses for anyone. This team still can make the playoffs; it has a winnable schedule down the stretch, and the Rockies have some difficult teams to face, including the Padres and Dodgers, not to mention the Cardinals–and the Brewers, who have some serious bombers and who can take a few pitches deep in that ballpark, humidor or not.

Yunel Escobar needs to play like a professional. He has rare talent and a rare attitude, with the latter not being good.

On a different note, if anyone who watched the Florida-Oklahoma game and/or yesterday’s Florida game thinks Tim Tebow’s the greatest player in college-football history, that individual officially knows nothing about football. Tebow is overrated–hugely overrated, and for that matter, so is Urban Meyer, though both have many strong points. Tebow isn’t even the best quarterback to come out of Florida in recent memory; Danny Wuerffel has him beaten by a mile, and Shane Matthews has him beaten by half a mile.
