i’ve yet to be given a reason not to hate the Red Sox

Hello? Someone just informed us of a miracle at turner field. They said Brooks Conrad flied out. I don’t believe it. Can someone confirm before we send our people to the scene at this late hour?
Herschel Talker likes to eat feces. doesn’t have to be human, but he likes that best
September 16th, 200911:21 pm
Come on Braves.
oh yes! we really needed Conrad back, he has been so much help.
I don’t know if I’m going to make it through the whole game.
September 16th, 200911:22 pm
Attention to whoever the hell is the audio engineer for the Peachtree TV broadcasts.
Limiting, Compression and Leveling are your friends! Use them sometimes! Geez!
I’m not talking about when the feed from Peachtree goes to CSS and the commercials blast you into next week or even the next commercial when you wonder if the audio on your TV has cut out….
I’m talking about when Joe and Chip are talking in conversational tones and you increase the volume on the TV to hear what they say…. then a ball is put into play and Chip screams into the microphone and rattles the china! Geez Mr. Engineer….. your job is to send a managable signal out from your broadcast and into my home whose wavelength doesn’t look like the peaks and valleys of a rollercoaster.
Yes it’s a Peachtree problem because the Sportsouth and Fox broadcasts don’t suffer from the same audio malpractice. And Yes, this has been going on all season, not just tonight. I’m ranting tonight because it would be nice for them to figure this out before the entire season is gone!
September 16th, 200911:23 pm
I’m barely hanging in, Soph. Just trying to entertain myself to stay awake lol.
Ratfink Prado, he has his nerve making an out this game. Free Conrad.

Roja Mac will be OK again after he gets the Lasik correction next month.
You don’t know that.
Obviously what I meant by that was…”what if the Lasik is messed up again?” Not goin’ all PL on y’all…
Is there anything sadder than people who have to hold up their arm to do the chop?
September 16th, 200911:25 pm
See, Moylan knows how to pitch to Francoeur.
Thank god we have one pitcher who remembers Frenchy.
God I miss that guy.
No I don’t.
Moylan understands. Just throw the ball 2 feet outside of the zone to strike out Francouer.
September 16th, 200911:26 pm
McFann! Does your mama know you’re still up?
i think i see why the red sox win so many games.. their fans apparently extend to the umpire crew. nick green actually struck out twice before walking in the tying run in the bottom of the 9th.
Yes…people who do “the wave”..
Is there anything sadder than people who have to hold up their arm to do the chop? RHR
you would probably have to include KeyLargo,Scoots & nolie in that group.
September 16th, 200911:27 pm
I was shooting for a 10:00 bedtime…
September 16th, 200911:28 pm
I’m starting to think that Peter Moylan is bionic.
I don’t actually know what that means but it sounds good.
September 16th, 200911:29 pm
Too high, too high.
September 16th, 200911:30 pm
On a serious note…Was nice to see that KJ, with all his struggles at the plate…STILL… took a 3-1 cripple pitch fastball… right down Peachtree…when leading off the inning a while ago…99% of the Braves woulda swung at that one…and probably nobody… except an astute baseball fan….would have even noticed. I promise you KJ would have preferred to have swung at that “cripple’ EXCEPT for the fact he was trying to play winning baseball.. And yes…before you ask…IF you are trying to win this game…you SHOULD take that 3-1 pitch leading off the inning in that situation.
Nice of the Braves to take forever tonight so I’d get home in time to watch almost half the game (if I manage to stay awake)
September 16th, 200911:31 pm
VJ – Herschel’s looking for you
I was going for 11:30 but I’ve delayed it to midnight now.
Score some runs! If the Braves score 7 runs in this inning, I’m going to bed.
September 16th, 200911:32 pm
nd yes…before you ask…IF you are trying to win this game…you SHOULD take that 3-1 pitch leading off the inning in that situation.
what a load
Kelly Johnson has more fans than any average baseball player who ever played the game.
Looking a couple of things up…
Loaf’s contract is for $2.5 million this year. Don’t know for how long. It’s less than what Ryan Church makes and twice as much as what Matt Diaz is earning. Loaf made $12M last year for the Angels.
So, for $2.5 million, are the Braves getting their money’s worth from the 37-year-old left fielder? Should they dig deep and sign a younger, more productive outfielder, Jason Bay, perhaps? I say maybe to the first and most definitely to the second question.
September 16th, 200911:33 pm
If you’d delayed it to midnight the past 2 days, we’d still be reenacting “The Sound of Music”
Bobby’s asleep! Yunel got hit by a pitch and I’m sure Lowe sweated 3 gallons before he delivered the 3rd pitch of the game. This would’ve been a great night for bingo.
I love GA’s picture. He looks like the players on Madden.
Derek Jeter would NOT have swung at that 3-1 pitch…if you don’t understand that…I just can’t help you…
A Crying Shame
September 16th, 200911:34 pm
Kelly Johnson made more money than Loaf this year?
but he-KF- has so much potential
I’m not looking for Vinings Jim. I was just wondering why his name wasn’t anywhere to be found.
dogsbrekky-The Dingo-JolliesOff enjoy the Lucky Pierre, in that order usually.
FIRE BOOBY THE MORON!!!
Let’s get some damn runs Braves.
Steve from OH
September 16th, 200911:35 pm
I say maybe to the first and most definitely to the second question.
So you’re comparing KJ to Jeter now? Way to prove my point.
Ugh, musicals? I don’t do musicals.
A professional walk by Garret. His last one wasn’t professional at all. He just got lucky.
Fire Herschel Talker
September 16th, 200911:36 pm
jeffrey d – so I heard – I gave cabravesfan the okay to let him know I was on the way, which I saw she did
Obviously…ONLY the “take” of the 3-1 pitch….is this REALLY so hard to understand ??
One of my dreams in life is to be a part of a group of people who suddenly simultaneously bust out into song and dance in a normal public setting.
Dangit…almost beat that out.
it could be worse
September 16th, 200911:37 pm
anyone else watching on CSS and only have audio
Great play both ways I must admit.
Thank God he didn’t catch it.
I’d pinch run for The Thinker there at second base Bobby. No?
September 16th, 200911:38 pm
Anybody else’s channel blackout? Can hear it, just see nothing. Damn PTTV. Hate this channel with a passion.
Oh no no I get it. You’re totally right! Kelly Johnson. Greatest mediocre player alive! I’m on board, yes sir. I’m even in that one poster from out in L.A.
And I bet my father, who is trying to sleep, knows I’m still up, too…
Great job Adam.
WTF was that.
September 16th, 200911:39 pm
“You’re still my hero, Adam” dontcha love when the stadium is so empty you get to hear all the fans
Oh yes, small ball. I love it so much, especially when the cleanup hitter does it. So exciting!!
Actually…The Roach…. is currently the ONLY player on the Braves…that should swing at a 3-1 pitch in that situation….and EVEN that is debatable….anybody else is an obvious no-brainer to NOT swing….ASSUMING …you are actually trying to win the game…
September 16th, 200911:40 pm
TnBrian Can hear it, just see nothing.
Now if it was the other way around…
I bet if McCann ran out that bunt McFann’s neighbors would know she’s still up too.
September 16th, 200911:41 pm
Better than a double-play or a K, you gotta admit that…
Well that’s the other side of LaRoche we’ve kind of forgotten lately. Mystifying.
September 16th, 200911:42 pm
How about a homerun Omar?
LaRoche sux, I want Thor back with all his power potential.
Quick jeffrey, say something bad about Omar!
A hit would be nice Omar.
September 16th, 200911:43 pm
Omar Infante is terrible and picks his nose!
“Oh yes, small ball. I love it so much”
There is the proof that JolliesOff likes men.
Tonight ESPN classic reaired the Top 5 Reasons You Can’t Blame Booby the Idiot for the Braves not winning more World Series. Although they shockingly made some decent points (e.g., Lonnie Smith, Mark Wohlers), they missed the big picture, of course, that Booby managed in the playoffs like it was a 162-game marathon, not a 7-game sprint. That is because, of course, he is a moron.
Just to make it simple for SOME that can’t seem to understand:
1. Kelly Johnson sux
2. Kelly Johnson “taking” the 3-1 “cripple”….does NOT suck
Come on McFann, you got to have more faith in your guy than that.
Wow this muts team is so awful………..It would be amazing if we find a way to lose this game.
September 16th, 200911:44 pm
Told you. Now go pick your nose, Omar.
Are we playing the f***ing Reds? We’re going to lose this f***ing game GD it.
It didn’t work because you didn’t say it from your heart. You have to mean it!
September 16th, 200911:45 pm
the comercials work but not the game thanks pttv I am in Chattanooga I wonder if it is a comcast issue
Omar and Adam both fail. Keep the mets scoreless and you have a chance though
September 16th, 200911:46 pm
The Bravos are really trying hard to kickstart the Braves/Muts rivalry tonight. They have missed it a lot this year.
Jerry Manuel giving Cox a class on how you manage with urgency to win, switching lefty, righty, almost in every key situation. sense of urgency that we need, now more than ever.
Sorry Soph….his 5 or 6 hits since last night have caused me to doubt a little.
Hmm, my PTV is working fine. Sound/video and all – it sounds like a Comcast issue for you guys.
September 16th, 200911:47 pm
Come on Gonzo.
Gonzo about to liven things up in this game, don’t know if that’s good or bad though
I do…but it was a lefty pitching, and he hasn’t exactly dazzled at the plate tonight…he did hit that double, though, which was good. But 2 swinging K’s? Gyah…I up to here (hand over head) in K’s…fed up with them. Can’t take any more of them…70 is plenty…
I gotta put my Lovey to bed…and he’s in the computer room, so that means the computer goes off…
GONZO = BALLGAME!!!
September 16th, 200911:48 pm
I know jeffrey and he has you to thank for it.
September 16th, 200911:49 pm
How did I know.
I knew it.
Hershie – here little boy, here boy, oh what a stupid dog, what is that with you, oh your wife, you poor sonofabitch… here Herschel….
… it’d be a bad thing
Chip Caray probably caused the signal to blow in some areas.
Wonder how long until this HR is blamed on Bobby.
What else is new? Nothing easy with this guy, EVER!
Gonzo MUST… have a blister
Dammit. And, he’s hurt?
it is not a secret…………..you are a L O S E R
September 16th, 200911:50 pm
Will Joe never learn? lol
Gonzo’s a JOKE!
Thanks a lot Derek.
Great work tonight.
Oh, Manny Acosta! Bobby has fully committed himself to losing this game. Well done.
jeffrey, weren’t you asking about Acosta the other day? Your wish has come true.
September 16th, 200911:51 pm
But…Cox’s “overuse” of Gonzo has not affected his pitching. I know this is true because AJC writer Jeff Schultz wrote it. And he is a personal friend of a certain HOF manager. So it must be true.
I mean as Joe as talking about all the clutch HRs the guy has hit…its like DOB, but older, and with a microphone.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
