I would love to see KK come in and pitch 6 innings of relief. Even though Cox hasn’t used Nedlen since the Florida misuse, he’s not going to pitch more than 2 innings.

Some people say we have to trade Vazquez, or move Hudson, when they both want to stay here. If hudson and Vazquez rework their contracts to 9 million each, saving 3 millions from Hudson and 1.5 from Javy, can’t we trade Lowe with us picking up $4.5 million of his salary? Someone may like him at 10.5 million. people that think Vazquez will bring us a good deal back forget he’s a free agent after 2010, and not many teams will give you a lot for a one year rental.

Lowe has 14 wins and 180 innings, pitching #1 in the rotation. That means he faces other teams aces often. Those who are whining about him are exposing yourselves as the ones who didn’t play past little league and have sat on the sidelines criticizing everyone since – because you’re bitter you weren’t good enough to play.

Aces make in the $18 M range. Lowe has never been an ace, he’s just in the position because we have no one else. And he is getting no love for taking one for the team, at least from the blog.

What if he wins 16 games and pitches 200 innings at the top of the rotation. I’d say he earned his money.

We have no one else? What on Earth are you talking about MrNeutral? We have 5 pitchers BETTER than him. Maybe 6 if you count Medlin. He should be the one in the bullpen but Kawakami was put there because he makes less money.

He makes $15 million dollars… if your point is that Aces make $18 million (huh?) and he ONLY makes $15… that’s kinda a weak argument. And clearly with his horrible ERA he’s benefited from some serious run support if he wins 16 games.
