It Stinks David…(Athens, AL). I just called and they said to give them a full 30 minutes to resume to normal broadcasting. Cant they just flip a switch or something?
September 15th, 20097:38 pm
man, what a disappointment … cannot see Hanson … if you are not going to carry thr games why sign up for them … PTV!!!!!!!!
September 15th, 20097:39 pm
Francoeur just sponging off BMac’s good nature, ah s’pose…
Hey, nitwit, who told you you should catch that?
September 15th, 20097:40 pm
This football game has got a ways to go. Man, guess that’s all we need to know what the south thinks of baseball, or maybe it’s just the Braves they don’t know exists.
I wouldn’t go to a ballgame in the rain or when it was threatening rain either. Only the die hard Francophiles are there tonight.
September 15th, 20097:41 pm
“Mets’ management says Francoeur has been their best player since the trade.” -Joe Simpson
Gee, maybe that is why the Mets SUCK Joe.
Boo-yah!! LaRoche for cleanup!
Way to go, Roachy!
David – I have DirectTV’s version of Peachtree TV and I’m in Guntersville and I still have the game.
This dude has GOT to come back next season!!!!
Sign his @SS!!!!
September 15th, 20097:42 pm
Yowza, that went a long way. I think he misched that location.
September 15th, 20097:43 pm
Adam LaRoche fo’ de Braves in 2010!
Look jeffrey, Omar got a hit.
RHR – I think its a comcast/ CSS thing
September 15th, 20097:44 pm
I hate pitchers buntin’ wid one out. Cox and his bunts need t’go. Get some manga’ who abolishes de free out!
September 15th, 20097:45 pm
when it comes to Tommy Hanson’s power stroke in the box….you bunt him with 1 out and NO ONE on
September 15th, 20097:46 pm
McFann, his other car is in NYC!
Wow, organ guy got me again.
If they still had Name That Tune I swear I could win it. I can usually identify a song even if I just hear one or two notes when switching stations on the radio but that guy stumps me routinely.
I’m pretty sure that was Aqualung but it took me about two minutes to figure it out. He’s good, I like it. Who cares… whatever.
By the way, what an awful article be Ken Rosenthal. He mistakenly refered to Brian McCann as “Martin”. Unbelievable…
… homerun, Adam LaRoche… I could see that coming from a mile away… wow, apparently I’m some kind of savant by my own account.
Finally though, somebody outside of the Braves blogosphere (I hate that word) telling it like it is. Sadly, nothing will be done about it because nobody can seem to hold the guy accountable.
September 15th, 20097:47 pm
LaRoche hit a homer? Who cares, I’d rather watch a college football crap game.
Ambrose, really man?? Thats how you talk or type?? Sheesh what is this world coming to.
September 15th, 20097:48 pm
Mitchell e mistakenly refered to Brian McCann as “Martin”.
WHAT?? How insulting…
Do your homework, Kenny! Sheesh!
September 15th, 20097:49 pm
By da way, plum curious, what be da damn deal wid yo’ dojigger here?
This from Elias, Adam LaRoche is leading the Braves in homers since he began his second stint here on Aug. 1. That’d be 11 now…He just broke an RBI tie in that span with McCann. LaRoche now leads with 28
September 15th, 20097:50 pm
A MIRACLE! Game back on, FINALLY
TnBrian, be my guest.
September 15th, 20097:51 pm
Personally ah’ dislikes college ball. Sheeeeeeeit.
September 15th, 20097:52 pm
Yikes, CSS just cannot make up its mind here about if it will show me the game or not. I get 10 seconds of the Braves and then back to college ball?
and were back…How will I find out how that GT game turned out
September 15th, 20097:53 pm
Right, Joe. Tommy’s had some starts where he gave up a ton of runs? Ergg!! He’s so…so…blech. My feelings wouldn’t be hurt if Joe wasn’t back next year.
had the game for a minute … now alternating between blue screen and GT game @@##$%^%*&&*
September 15th, 20097:54 pm
Just tuned in to hear Chip and Dip slobbering all over the Braves after their awe-inspiring three game sweep of a St. Louis team that has nothing to play for. No mention yet by either guy about a crowd that appears to be about 7500.
Hey, my grandad just called me and said, “what the sam hell is going on with this damn channel!! It’s going crazy!!” Should’ve heard the old man go off. Alright, game back on… maybe.
September 15th, 20097:55 pm
Chip Caray be by far de Braves wo’st announcer. Even dough he be rarely doin’ games and not da everyday guy, ah’ say can him.
wow , GA is trying out for off season offers, he should have done that a few more times this season and we might have a couple more wins, hmm what would a few more wins look like now.
September 15th, 20097:56 pm
TnBrian- Careful, don’t jinx it
September 15th, 20097:57 pm
did i miss GA making a diving catch?????!!!! back on for a moment …
September 15th, 20097:58 pm
Hah TnBrian – I got the same call from my grandfather. Different expletives, same message.
Carroll, I didn’t have a choice. Wait… surely you don’t mean you’d rather me leave the blog? Not me, I bring some fresh flavor around here.
September 15th, 20097:59 pm
Dang…Matty must’ve insulted all the other National league pitchers or something.
I likes Chip Caray actin’ likes powa’ and speed are equal assets and gittin’ eida’ o’ be plum as good. What an idiot.
NO MORE BOBBY
September 15th, 20098:00 pm
BOBBY V/S THEM…….
* Mike Scioscia has the Angles ready for the playoffs again after the death of Nick Adenhart.
Imagine how Bobby would milk this as an excuse if one of our guys passed away during the season.
* The Dodgers are most likely going to be back in the playoffs with Torre running the show. This is a team that lost Manny for 50 games! If Chipper misses a few games then all the Bobby supporters say “well he hasn’t had all his weapons this year to work with” (is Larry even a weapon anymore?).
* We make a trade for a hot hitting Laroche and he never makes it out of the number seven spot in our lineup. Why? He has been the only real threat to hit a home run but Bobby continues to bat Mac in the cleanup spot. The Cardinals trade for Holiday and he is inserted into the number five spot because that was his purpose in the lineup. Bobby never had a purpose for LaRoche. He just bats players in the lineup by position played, not how well or bad they are hitting. Kotchmon deserved to hit in the seven spot but even when Roach was red hot Bobby would not bump him up.
This is without even mentioning the worn out calls to our bullpen, refusal to sit Johnson and French boy earlier in the season, not firing TP when its obvious he is not working out with Braves hitters, and Bobby keeping a player like Norton on the bench over real talent that would’ve helped this team win.
DOES THE NEW ERA BEGIN NEXT SEASON WREN?
September 15th, 20098:02 pm
Chipper flipping the bird this evening, wonder who that was intended for…..
September 15th, 20098:03 pm
“Bobby would milk this as an excuse if one of our guys passed away during the season.” NO MORE BOBBY
Oh, stop it! Now I’m not pro-Bobby, but that’s just a stupid comment, imo.
If wE only still had Josh Anderson we would be lEading the divIsion by 5 games. Fire WreN
September 15th, 20098:04 pm
I guarantee you it’s Eddie Murray. I already nailed it. Don’t even need to look it up.
September 15th, 20098:05 pm
I think those of us on CSS were experiencing a disturbance in the time-space continuim. Hopefully we are now in an alternate universe where the Braves are in 1st place.
Steve from OH
Why, so two weeks into the season you can change your name to “no more Yost?” Oh, and the comment about Adenhart was unbelievable, you braying jackass.
September 15th, 20098:09 pm
Why, so two weeks into the season you can change your name to “no more Yost?
AMEN. Way t’brin’ de smack-down Steve.
September 15th, 20098:10 pm
That’s 14 consecutive shutout innings from Hanson by my math, through the fourth inning.
September 15th, 20098:11 pm
De end uh PeaceTree-TV 2009 Braves games and da damn end uh “de Braves play here!” commercials.
September 15th, 20098:12 pm
Loaf playing a swan song tonight.
I’ll miss you, Loaf!
Beltran….is he one of those AAA guys filling in for someone?
September 15th, 20098:13 pm
You know what’s coming…
LaRoche for cleanup!
Almost another Roach Bomb right there
Maybe all that money in Beltran’s pockets weighed him down so he could not catch that one.
I swear Eddie Murray had a walk off hit in the ‘79 World Series. Not that I saw any of it. I just remember his hit in Game 3 in ‘95. I could have sworn it was Eddie Murray.
What a rip-off. The Indians were lucky they didn’t get swept by the way but that obviously would have been too easy for the Braves. The Braves never did like doing things the easy way.
September 15th, 20098:14 pm
Been to Washington, Ga. many times…it sux
September 15th, 20098:17 pm
Oh good, they give LaRoche a double and not one of those “singles, reached second on the throw” that they’re always giving McCann.
New low for NMB at 8:00; just pitiful taste.
September 15th, 20098:18 pm
Oo bad the Steinbrenners were not clients of Bernie Madeoff. The Mets owners lost $300-$700 million to his scams.
braves70, now you know you’d be syked if Atlanta got Beltran. Never gonna happen, but I know he’d be an awesome addition to the lineup.
September 15th, 20098:19 pm
God we’re slow.
By the way McFann, wherever you are, I was kidding about Ken Rosenthal. He did call McCann “Martin”. He was talking about the back-up players.
It was a pretty direct article. I’m sure (rather, I hope) it will ruffle some feathers, I was trying to discredit him for a minor typo. Get it? Hilarious right?
Nevermind, why did you make me do that?
September 15th, 20098:22 pm
Man, dis damn AJC Braves blog goes down mo’e than a $2.00 prostitute.
September 15th, 20098:23 pm
Haha! If that woulda been a Met taking off for second, our pitcher woulda just thrown to the plate and let him steal.
September 15th, 20098:25 pm
NO MORE BOBBY
September 15th, 2009
BOBBY V/S THEM…….
September 15th, 2009
New low for NMB at 8:00; just pitiful taste.
You’re right keylargo. Inappropriate. Man, if only that had happened to JoJo Reyes.
Oh, I kid. That was wrong.
Mitchell I was kidding about Ken Rosenthal. He did call McCann “Martin”.
Wait…what? Do you mean “didn’t”?
September 15th, 20098:26 pm
Thank you, Ms. ROGERS. I can’t see why TnB bothers if he’d rather be somewhere else.
September 15th, 20098:28 pm
DAMN, that Hanson is good. All we heard for the last year and a half was Jay Bruce/Matt Weiters/David Price and Hanson here and there. But nobody can tell me, aside from Bruce’s hot start to MLB, that any one of those guys has out done Hanson.
September 15th, 20098:29 pm
Anybody else’s mlbtv not working?
Wait! The Braves have scORed 4 runs?? How is that poSSSible? I am sooo confused. The board ex-spurts assured me all afternOOn that this was the worst lineup ever by bOOby bOOger. What’s going on here? COULd they have been wrong? Nah, that just ain’t possible, they were sooo0 sure about it.
AHA!! It’s a MIRACLE!!! That’s whAt it is.
September 15th, 20098:30 pm
Hanson has 65 pitches through five scoreless innings.
September 15th, 20098:32 pm
Steve from OH
September 15th, 2009
working good here….
September 15th, 20098:33 pm
No Bobby Cox, Norton, Francoeur, Schafer = what might’ve been….
September 15th, 20098:34 pm
And its an official game if rain returns.
from what I hear a big blob on the radar is headed right for us. let’s get us some fast outs, eh!
September 15th, 20098:35 pm
Gosh Joe, end da damn Yunel Escobar gushfest.
Steve from OH, Bay Area Steve, Nova Scotia Steve, et al.
CR – from what I hear a big blob on the radar is headed right for us
A Lentz sighting?
September 15th, 20098:36 pm
from what I hear a big blob on the radar is headed right for us.
September 15th, 20098:37 pm
Ah, never mind, it’s working again…
McFann, the only thing he was wrong about was calling McCann “Martin”.
The rest was spot on so I was pretending like he didn’t know what he was talking about and Bobby is still a great manager…
I was nit-picking, if you will. And please do.
September 15th, 20098:38 pm
ANDERS, oh ANDERS. Where are you?
September 15th, 20098:39 pm
Your take on McCANN. Give me a time because I might miss it.
September 15th, 20098:40 pm
Stupid Francoeur…Bmac shouldn’t give him a ride home now.
OK, so he did call him that…that’s all I was ever commenting on…
September 15th, 20098:41 pm
Couch Tater–now that’s funny! I gotta get me one of them t-shirts…
Actually, it’s on the last page somewhere…
September 15th, 20098:42 pm
Haha, obviously it does not include tonight…and he’s got one of my pet peeves–”He hit it hard, but right at Francoeur”…
Ah, boo-yah! No more Misch!
September 15th, 20098:44 pm
”He hit it hard, but right at Francoeur”…
“And he was roughed up in the bottom half.”
September 15th, 20098:45 pm
September 15th, 20098:47 pm
Joe can gush about Yunel all he wants as far as I’m concerned.
There was talk about who was the MVP of the team at the all star break or shortly thereafter and most people felt it was either Martin or maybe Javy Vasquez. I think it would have to be Yunel.
Where would we be without him this year? I think his contributions to the team this year have been vastly understated. He may have come back down to earth a little lately but so has just about everybody else. He came into his own this year and I hope he stays a Brave for a long time.
All this crap about him needing to mature is, uh, crap. Bobby Cox needs to mature for f’s sake! Maybe he doesn’t toe the line like some people but some of them, that’s all they’re good at.
September 15th, 20098:48 pm
I ain’t mad atcha McFann.
That was lame.
September 15th, 20098:49 pm
Heh. At least Chip is a UGA grad.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
