if you put two 25-HR guys (Granderson and McLouth) out there and get 15 or so out of Diaz/Schafer/Heyward in right?

Rearranging the deck chairs, my friend. Band-aid on a sucking chest wound. One extra sandbag on a flooding levee.

In other words, too little, regardless of timeframe, LOL.

DAP, I don't consider him a huge bat either. But if you put two 25-HR guys (Granderson and McLouth) out there and get 15 or so out of Diaz/Schafer/Heyward in right? I'll be okay with that.

daslied, we could do worse than granderson. it seems like it might take alot to get him, but if vazquez is gonna get traded.... im not even sure if i wouldnt consider granderson a huge bat. the man has 27 homers which would lead the braves right now.

That's what I get for reading too fast - it was a writer wondering if they should trade Granderson, not an actual rumor.

And this is what I get for posting on an old blog...

MLBtraderumors.com has a blurb about Detroit possibly shopping Granderson. Are we interested? He's had a down year, but his BABIP is a career low .274. In his career in the leadoff spot he's got an .835 OPS. 56 of his career steals have come from that spot as well.

Cons: LH and not great against lefties, prone to late season swoons
Pros: speed, power (career .831 OPS), good defense

He's got $5.5MM next year, $8.25MM in 2011 and $10MM in 2012. There's a $13MM club option for 2013, with a $2MM buyout. So, say Wren can't get a huge bat for Vazquez, does he look to Detroit and include KJ (Polanco is a FA)? More or less? Creates an obvious dilemma with Schafer, if McLouth is moved to left, but McLouth, Granderson and Heyward would like pretty nice out there for the next few years. Or trade McLouth and fit Schafer in - there wouldn't be another hit allowed!

So Anders is glad they got Francoeur, loathes for Hudson, and is pining for McCann? Sounds like he really is a Braves fan. Come on, bud, just buy a hat with an "A" on it already.

I've seen two stellar automobile paintings in my time, but both were trucks:

1. Lagoon scene on back windshield, with replica of truck, floating. To the right of the floating truck was a floating Virgin Mary, gesturing to the truck.
2. Similar, but instead of the Virgin Mary it was an Asian cowgirl.
