Here's a little song you guys may be able to appreciate:

My Buddy, My Buddy, where ever Bobby goes, he goes
My Buddy, My Buddy, Bobby will bring him in and he blows
My Buddy & Bobby like to stink up a lead, My Buddy and Bobby are the best friend's that can be

Repeat

cvbraves - Dude, you really need to see a proctologist about your issues, cause your head is so far up Bobby's A!! that you can't see straight.

I mean really, you are going to defend Bobby on hanging his pitcher out to dry...referring to Vazquez. We are in the middle of a Wild card chase with NO marging for error. What that means is the very minute your pitcher shows signs of fatgue, pull him and bring in your reliver. If you wait (which Bobby always does) to bring in your reliever (with two men on or the bases loaded) your are putting them in a position of failure & ZERO margin for error.

If you honestly believe what you just wrote, then explain why the Braves (with the third best era in the National league) are sitting four games back in the Wild card race. I am sure you will rationalize Bobby's managerial genius as reasons why...truly sad.

Oh and by the way, can you please LOGICALLY explain Bobby's decision to keep Norton, wait two months too long on pulling KJ as well as Frenchy, and Jeff Bennett???

Just got in. What a wasted opportunity. Giants and Rockies lose. And the bullpen blows ups.

Anyone surprised to see Buddy Carlyle give up 3 hits and 1 run in his 1 inning? Then again, I guess that he deserves another pass because of the "circumstances" he overcame. It's important that we placate those who "relate" to old Buddy.

cvbraves@12:34:

"There are thousands of reasons why Bobby is such a great manager"

So name them. I asked you to name them, and you went on blaming other people for last night. You changed the subject. I also change subjects when I have nothing to say. So let's get back on point. Name the reasons.

"Okay, whoever you are. I’m going to take one shot although there about a thousand of so reasons, none of which you apparently know."

Apparently none of us complaining here are correct. You are the only correct one. We all stand corrected. You putz.

Herschel Talker: cvbraves at 11:50am - Tell us why he is the best manager in baseball. I bet you can’t give one good reason.

Okay, whoever you are. I'm going to take one shot although there about a thousand of so reasons, none of which you apparently know. If this gets too deep for you,...

Who gave up the home run to Helms? Gonzo, right. Gonzo gets the loss, Who really lost the game? Javy for not having good stuff tonight, loading the bases in the sixth? Medlen for given up a "lucky" three-run double and then another run? Norton striking out? Or Gonzo?

Bobby, NO. He had it right. He pinchhit for Ryan Church (Plan A) and got within a run. Escobar tied it in the 9th. In baseball managing, you have to be far ahead of what is happening at the moment on the field and plan in advance.

With Javy faltering, Bobby saw the way to "maybe" win the game...and he had a plan A, a plan B, and a Plan C, D and F.

I've already referred to Plan A. Plan B, C, D and F refer to pitching.

Plan B was the bring Medlen in and get out of the inning without giving up a run, surely not more than one of two. But, unfortunately, Medlen -- like Javy -- didn't have it last night.

Plan C was to bring Moylan in for the 7th and get the Marlins 1-2-3. Didn't work although Moylan did manage to not give up a run.

Plan D was to bring in O'Flaherty and get a 1-2-3 8th.

Plan F was to bring Gonzo for the 9th, ahead or tied.

So, what caused the Braves the game? What caused the Braves the game was Moylan. Yes, he does good work, love him, but he failed.

Why? Moylan faced 6 hitters to get three outs and turned the lineup over. O'Flaherty succesfully faced the batters Bobby figured Gonzo would be facing in the 9th. Otherwise, chances are Gonzo would have retired the three batters O'Flaherty did...and we would have gone out to the 10th, where being the GREAT manager that he is, we would have been to see some more good moves by Bobby and maybe a win.

Do you understand any of this? How much thought goes into managing? The game is fast. A manager doesn't have the advantage of being on the blog and second-guessing every move. He has to be a few batters, a few innings ahead of a very, fast game.

There are thousands of reasons why Bobby is such a great manager...and I am so glad that other managers, GMs, and knowledgeable baseball players and fans recognize this. It is just such a shame that he has to blasted by folks on this blog that really don't know what they're talking about.

And, last thing, anybody who does not realize how great a manager Bobby Cox is really doesn't know baseball managing, regardless of what they say.

Many of the folks on this blog really don’t seem to know the finer points of either playing or managing baseball. If the team doesn’t win every night, they go bonkers. cvbraves
