Steve, It’s perfectly relevant. Because, as I’ve said, Cox had a different decision to make than Manuel. The fact that you won’t admit it is troublesome.
Perhaps if you had a specific stat you could point to, you could develop a more sound argument; but in this case, you haven’t, because you refuse to admit that even though Hanson is more important to his team’s success than Pedro, the decision to burn Hanson is not the same as the decision to burn Pedro.

I have a bad feeling this isn’t going to be the “last rain delay”.
Needless to say, having the lead after the 5th inning (if this game ever resumes and makes it that far) will be critical.
Pedro has to be out…I guess Moyer in there to pitch? A junker baller like him can either be very effective or just flat out stink and get raked over. if the Braves are not patient they can lose to a 46 year old who throws a low 80’s fastball.

From driving to the airport in the rain this morning, to Delta misplacing my bag on a direct flight, to two rain delays in the first two innings of this game, nothing’s gone right today. Except one thing: the beef brisket sandwich at Tommy DiNic’s in Reading Terminal. That place never, ever disappoints.

Chipper, McCann, and Prado eat Moyer alive at the player. LaRoche, Diaz, and Anderson have really good numbers. Escobar, Church, and Infante are the weak spots. Overall, the Braves hit him hard.

I can sympathize with Dave O’Brien because I’ve had a rough day, myself, and I just knew I was in for one this morning, too.
I’m not in position to watch the game if it resumes in a moment but am looking forward to it resuming, indeed.
Honestly, I’d rather be sitting in Philadelphia at this game, watching it rain, than to be watching an NBA game.
Falcons-Chargers tomorrow night. Interesting. Might be a Super Bowl preview, and the two quarterbacks in question might be the two best leaders in the game. (As far as the AFC itself goes, Manning-Brady might be giving way to Rivers-Roethlisberger.)
Given the NFL careers thus far of Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush, why is everyone making such a big deal about Mark Sanchez? Not saying Leinart and Bush don’t have potential, but they absolutely did not play in the SEC.
Lane Kiffin is doing a fine job of acting successful due to his lack of popularity with the “Florida internet crowd.” He’s booed out of dislike, not out of respect. Unlike his dad, Lane is still an unknown, yet-to-be-proven quantity.
Back to baseball, winning these three games would send a serious message that the Braves are ready to reclaim their division.
As for the home run to Ryan Howard, his homer doesn’t mean Tommy Hanson should’ve walked him, folks. It was, after all, a solo shot, and you know when facing the guy that you can get him out and that he can drive one deep off of you, so there is indeed mutual respect. Besides, Howard’s far from the only guy in that lineup. Walking someone in a scoreless game with no one on base isn’t a good move. If it were a 5-5 game in the seventh with two outs and a base open, yeah, I could see walking him.

Sorry, but I think it should no longer be taboo to talk about the possibility of the Braves getting permission from Chipper to be traded. With what he’s making and the reduced number of games he plays, it’s more in the team’s best interests to explore trade possibilities than Chipper remaining a Brave for the rest of his career.
