I’ve forgotten the name of the stadium up there. The Vet was easy to remember. What is it? Something like Kill Or Be Killed Park? I’d like to look it up on radar…
August 28th, 20096:43 pm
DOB – Thanks, dl’d a few songs listening now
I think its called “Citizen’s Bank Park” or “The Bank”.
Based on its size they should probably call it “The ATM vestibule” though.
Yes, I’d agree Lee is due for a bad game. Actually, way overdue. But teams have probably been saying that for his past few starts, right? I mean, that’s a pretty incredible run.
August 28th, 20096:44 pm
Hanson’s due to get lit up.
Jair is due to get lit up.
August 28th, 20096:45 pm
No, it’s his birthday!!!!!
You all are Cox apologist
Its the same old sh1t with you every night. Dont you ever talk about anything else, its getting old. sick of all the Cox bashers. Damn……
August 28th, 20096:46 pm
That means its time for Lowe to go on a good run of wins then lol ….
I’m actually kinda nervous about these next two series. You know this is probably it, so need to get to the Phills early tonight and set the tone.
August 28th, 20096:47 pm
That’s right, VaBraveFan.
Ryan Howard is due to strike out in every AB this series. Matt Diaz is due for a two-week oh-fer.
August 28th, 20096:48 pm
Brad Lidge is due to have three consecutive perfect inning saves.
I been bashing Blobby Crox for 25-30 years. ‘Round heah it jus feel good! Hope we get the game in!
Nova Scotia Steve

Love this blog man…
So amusing…people here make me laugh…It’s good for at least a few laughs daily.
August 28th, 20096:49 pm
After smoking a carefully selected blend of herbs I have come to the following two conclusions:
1. Cassidy is pretty hot
2. Random=Mitchell=You all are Cox apologist=BravesFaninWis=PL
Now back to the regularly scheduled programming.
August 28th, 20096:51 pm
Dumbo is the much better comparison nolie
I’ve got you on my radar now, mister.
August 28th, 20096:53 pm
There’s a flood watch, and rain probably 30-min from park. Appears it’ll be around a while once it hits. Really does look ugly. With weather, you never really know, but the news right now ain’t good.
I’ve seen a number of people make fun of Schafer’s ears tonight. However, no one has come to “his rescue”. Athletes are targets for heckling. Paul Lentz
What?! You obviously weren’t reading then…
You’re thinking of the “SURE KILL” EXPRESSWAY, but spelled SCHUYKILL.
August 28th, 20096:56 pm
TnBrian: need to get to the Phills early tonight and set the tone”"
I have total confidence that egg sacs will translate into another big first inning!
Wow, somebody’s talking about me. Cool.
My question for you people: ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Of course, I’m referring to the touchdown the Braves are going to put on Pedro in the first inning. And maybe even an extra point.
I said it yesterday, the Braves are going to kick the Phillies @$$es this weekend.
I’m not saying they’re going to sweep but I will make one prediction, I’m willing to bet no money whatsoever that we score 20 runs in this series.
August 28th, 20096:57 pm
Over under on Ryan Howard homers this series?
Will Shane catch them all? No more fly balls that we’ll scream”that would’ve been out in Philly”..
I bleeve you’re right richbrave! Thanks!!
Let’s hope for some “Banana Shaped Arch’s” towards right field Top 1
August 28th, 20097:01 pm
Here We Go
Well, here we go folks!
BIG or what ?!?!
August 28th, 20097:02 pm
I used to have a girlfriend who loved this Christmas special. I don’t have big ears. She’d probably dig Nestor, I mean, Jordan.
Dang at’ stuff is moving fast. Start looking for the first sprinkles any time DOB..
I’m outta here. Enjoy the game.
As Victorino and Rollins go…So do Phillies…
August 28th, 20097:04 pm
who’s your daddy pedro??????? yankees errrr braves!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 28th, 20097:05 pm
Schafer has normal sized ears on a head the size of a spider monkey’s. Y’all got it all wrong…
Steve from OH
August 28th, 20097:06 pm
Whoa whoa whoa, did Paul Lentz really just equate making fun of Schafer’s ears to bashing Carlyle’s diabetes? What a d!ck.
P.S.–Paul, it’s an inside joke, ya putz.
P.P.S.–Still wonder why we call you “Dentz?”
P.P.P.S–That was a more correct use of quotation marks, btw.
August 28th, 20097:07 pm
I can’t stand Pedro
August 28th, 20097:08 pm
Roachy goes yard tonight. We beat Pedro. Lefties hitting .313 against him.
Love the navy tops for this game
August 28th, 20097:09 pm
That would’ve been out in Philly..er, dangit we can’t use that excuse tonight
Dumbass Matt Diaz, swinging at the first pitch.
August 28th, 20097:10 pm
There’s a split between two banks of rain headed toward the park. If the split straddles the park, we might play some.
August 28th, 20097:11 pm
Rob from SC
Chipper loves the first pitch
that was really quick………
August 28th, 20097:12 pm
Great inning guys! How many pitches did Pedro throw? 5? 6? less?
Hmm…this game is boring already…
Rob from SC–
Yeah, except that was the second pitch.
Anybody else want to punch Drew Tutton in the face should you ever meet him?
August 28th, 20097:13 pm
I’d say Hanson is indeed the top rookie.
If you’re going to have a Cy Young and an MVP for the entirety of a league, maybe the same should apply to rookies (yes, I know one can win both). It’s hard to picture Hanson or Andrew McCutchen not getting hardware. J.A. Happ deserves an honorable mention as well, but Hanson is the top rookie.
It’s good to see the home-run ball back in Atlanta. There for a while we were seeing only about one every other game. Now it’s more like two per game.
By “a while”, I mean a year, by the way.
If I were Atlanta, I’d be wary of the high fastball on two strikes; I’ve noticed that pitch seems to be used a lot lately in that situation.
On a different note, has anyone gotten a chance to watch much of the Falcons in preseason? I watched five minutes of the Rams game and none of the Lions game. I have concerns about Grady Jackson’s departure but am cautiously optimistic that our defense isn’t as bad as it looked initially.
Time to win.
You thinking about a career in meteorology or you gunna watch the game while its on.
If it rains…it rains…lol
What the hell was that?
Come on Braves. Bad at-bats.
August 28th, 20097:14 pm
RE: Ronald Millsaps
Wouldn’t have missed it for the world Ronnie
Prado since the All Star break:
leadoff first pitch for leadoff first pitch. ha!
Great timing with the SQUEEZE reference for me. I played “Hourglass” for one of my kids about a week ago (I heard it on the Sirius New Wave station) and she memorized the chorus after hearing it once. Not exactly classic Squeeze, but good song and good video.
Dumbass Jimmy Rollins, swinging at the first pitch…
August 28th, 20097:15 pm
LOL NS-Steve! At this rate the game will be over in 30-min anyway! lol
egg sac anyone?
And then Victorino on two pitches…tsk tsk.
See how this sounds?
August 28th, 20097:16 pm
You got it Steve.
Always trying to find something negative from Prado….
August 28th, 20097:17 pm
Suck on that Phillies.
Dangitt, I got hung-up on the weather and forgot the egg sacs! If we lose this one y’all can blame it on me…
That was quick. Nicely done
Hanson has some awesome stuff working, so rain coming is so bad for more than one reason. How frustrating would that be?
August 28th, 20097:18 pm
MLB.com said the Kazmir trade fell through, Rotoworld says the trade should be completed within the hour
August 28th, 20097:19 pm
Hey everybody, who am I?
“Hahaha David Pollack had a career ending neck injury! What a loser! He’s a weakling!”
Was’ up players????
Just letin you dudes and dudetts kno’ I’m gunna be bloggin’ alllll nigghhhtt long…
Catch yas on the flip side…
Ok did Pedro borrow the lunch room ladies hair or is that an egg sac under his hat?
August 28th, 20097:20 pm
“nova”–What in the world are you talking about?
Joe Simpson’s remark blew that ball fould. Way to go, Joe.
August 28th, 20097:21 pm
The 2008 Braves were the most-injured team I’ve ever seen in any sport; I’d have to put the 2009 Mets at number two.
I’ll say Diaz, Chipper, and McCann homer tonight.
That Mac swing would of been a homer at Turner.
No problemo, daddy-o!!!!
ARG!! You weren’t supposed to catch that, Raul! Stupid…
I want a double!!! .289.
August 28th, 20097:23 pm
Come on Roachy! Be productive.
Bases should be loaded…
Who allowed the Fillies to have outfielders?
Let’s go Roachy. Field goal.
August 28th, 20097:24 pm
And who allowed them to have a first baseman? Gyah…
August 28th, 20097:25 pm
Can’t see the game tonight, and we also have flood warnings. A toad-strangler going on as I type, so no XM while holed up in the car. Gotta’ jilt you for my other favorite team – the REDSKINS. They play rain or shine. I’ll check in periodically to see how badly we kill the PHILLIES – Sure Kill that is.
Gonna be raining very soon…
And somebody please tell Simpson that’s an E-Z at the end of “Martinez”…not an I-S…
August 28th, 20097:26 pm
That was a horrible call.
That wasn’t good.
I don’t blame Wren for trying to get something for the famous Frenchy, but Church is a bust. His precious body can’t hold up and the numbers…..well..
What… a bunch… of horse****.
August 28th, 20097:28 pm
With those regular sized ears on the Spider Monkey head and the way his mouth hangs open all the time, if you put some overalls on him and gave him a Banjo, he could be an extra in Deliverance couldn’t he?
August 28th, 20097:29 pm

August 28th, 2009
I don’t blame Wren for trying to get something for the famous Frenchy
He should have got penicillin…’nuff said
