Besides, a lot of good prospects play thru AAA. Off the top of my head–Buster Posey, Brian Matusz, Jake Arrieta, Chris Tillman, Matt Weiters, Travis Snider, Hanson, Medlen, David Price, Wade Davis, Jeremy Hellickson, Andrew McCutchen, etc., etc.

Chipper, are you taking notes?

Chipper is more worried about G-Anderson embarrassing him by hitting more jacks this year.

For those keeping score 15 vs. 12.

Why would anyone ever throw Anderson a fastball? It is amazing how quick his bat still rips the zone. I would throw him soft stuff away all day long but a single fastball.

I just cant understand why Matt Diaz is still playing. Bobby Cox benched him when he was 13 for 26 so Jeff Francoeur could “get some at-bats”. Now that Diaz is 23 for 44, it is essential that he goes back to the bench so we can get Kelly Johnson going by “giving him some at-bats”.

Dont you guys agree with me? Bobby is screwing up big time by not benching Diaz.

I think if you look in to the fact that we’ve damn near owned Philly this year, we’re all giving them too much credit. Think if they keep the ball away from Utley and in on Howard then we take these next two games. They obviously know how to handle Rollins/Victorino.

Paul Lentz

August 29th, 2009

SoonerBrave……..I was just being funny with the “bench Diaz so Kelly can get some at-bats” postings.

If you cant see the humor in that, then you either havent been following the Braves close enough to understand where that posting comes from……..or you are too sensitive to understand it.

Trust me, I’m glad that Diaz is playing. Back in May I was advocating for the Braves to bench Francoeur and make Diaz the everyday right fielder. I love what Diaz brings to the table.

Yet many on here said “Diaz isnt an everyday player. Replacing Francoeur with him wont make a difference so there is no need to even make a change”.

Diaz may take some wild swings and not play the greatest defense……but he absolutely rakes at the plate when he is in a groove.
