WHY, IN THE NAME OF HANK AARON OR ANY OTHER EMINENCE YOU MAY CHOOSE, DOES BOBBY COX PIT/CH KK, OR LEAVE HIM IN AFTER TWO LONG BALLS ,GIVEN THE EXPERIENCE WITH KK SO FAR THIS YEAR? THIS IS SHEER STUPIDITY AND STUPIDITY OF THIS SORT IS WHY THE BRAVES HAVE NO CHANCE AND HAVE NEVER HAD A CHANCE. HOLY COW!!!!!!
I hope the boys can stay afloat a few more days. I’m thinking that bringing up some younger guys will give them a shot in the arm on Sept 1. I just hope it’s not too late by then. Next week will most likely tell the story with the back to back series against the Phillies and Marlins.
Who is this Paul Lentz? Is that his real name? I don’t know if I would come on here with my real name, especially after reading some of these folks posts.
You are completely right. We’ve never had a shot. Wait, who was the manager when we won all those consecutive division titles? Why can’t we bring him back? Oh wait, IT’S THE SAME GUY!!! I CANT CONTROL MY CAPS LOCK!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!
hey its not over yet guys!! This team can get hot again, Chipper will break out of this slump and have a good last month, Huddy is coming back, McLouth will be back and we can still finish strong and make a push for the WC
We were playing great ball and only gained like 1 gm or somthing in the big stretch, cause the teams ahead of us wernt losing.
Lets see how the Braves look after the Phillies series before we call it quits, i’m fustrated just as much as yall but this team can finish strong

Your nuts to think Chipper used roids, his numbers are nothing like the known roid users. here you think just because Chipper is in a longer than usual slump that he got off the roids is why. thats ignorant man.
Truth, give us a break….Chipper never significantly bulked up, his head didnt grow a couple sizes, etc. like Giambi, Bonds and McGwire, et al. Nice try.
First of all, it’s “you’re” or “you are” not your. Second, Chipper’s pattern is a mirror image of Manny, Big Papi, A-Fraud, Sosa, and all the other cheating players. Anything to gain an advantage and score a huge paycheck.
The maddening thing about this team is that they could get swept here against the Pads, then go to Philly and wake up and sweep the Phils. Then we’ll start believing again, then the Nats will come in and, well, you know….

LMAO the same pattern of those guys my A$$……. Chipper has 1 (ONE) 40 homer season the rest of them have 5 or more
Chipper is a singles hitter, Chipper didnt win a batting title last year by hitting homers
That “O” is a turtle…It’s a bit of an involved story, but I found a turtle in the evening os July 8, 2008. The Braves were out West playing the Dodgers that night, so with nothing else going on until 10, I typed up a little 1 paragraph story about the turtle and posted it on the Blog (turned out to be a hit…even DOB liked it! ).
The game started out rather boring, I believe, and after I had already gone to bed, the Braves were needing some runs. One Blogger, Uga-brave, bored with the game, mentioned my turtle. The Braves had a rally. They won the game 9-3 (and BMac hit 2 HR), and people began to call my turtle “Rally McTurtle”.
He’s got his legs inside his shell right now, though–he’s sad about last night’s loss.
VaBraveFan – well put re. Chipper. Man, it hurts me to watch right now but he did put some good swings on the ball last night. I think he’s about ready to break out.
Chop Chop – you have good taste re. Friends – worst TV show in history. Well, that and the last 5 seasons of Happy Days – Jump the Shark!
Have fun and make sport of me, but just wait until the rest of the names are released from the list of 104 roid users. Larry Jones will be among them as well as several pitchers you have held in esteem. You forget that he did hit with power, as late as 2007. You just don’t forget how to hit, period, but your bat speed slows. Great hitters never experience these dractic declines, but of course you knew that.

Dude, check your math ok it will be 4 1/2 games if you want me to explain, let me know
He didn’t say that the word “dractic” exists. However, if we type dractic enough, Google will link to this page whenever dractic is typed. That would be a dractic change to the English language. It’s the kind of dractic measure we need.
Wren should offer Bobby a contract for next year, but only if he agrees to wear that big ol’ mega-humongous “Rally The Brave” baseball noggin during games…
The Lie(off ballenced Truth) – You must have lost your mind also. 1 names won’t be released .2 chipper has had the same build and stats since he started playing, no toothpick to over grown like Bonds or Big Mac. 3 if you want to pick a Brave you should be thinking Sheffield or Javy. Chipper? nah no chance
VA Brave, I’m a 40+ year Braves fan, and it’s “you’re” not your. Don’t they teach that in public schools in Virginia? I appreciate your comments about his age; however, is he not being paid to perform now, not just on his past laurels? Why do the Braves have to reward last years’ performance with today’s dollars? And, hasn’t he been reward very generously, excessively, over the past years?
Just filling out my scorecard. Ever notice that other managers, unless someone gets hurt or goes stone cold leave their lineups pretty much alone day after say. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Cox juggles ballplayers when the wind changes. Or,if everything is running smooth, jump in the middle a screw it all up! If anyones at the game near the Braves dugout please scream this at Blobby for me. Bat LaRo 4th and BMac 5th you dumb knocker!

Steve,
He didn’t say that the word “dractic” exists. However, if we type dractic enough, Google will link to this page whenever dractic is typed. That would be a dractic change to the English language. It’s the kind of dractic measure we need.
Dractic dractic dractic.

Wren should offer Bobby a contract for next year, but only if he agrees to wear that big ol’ mega-humongous “Rally The Brave” baseball noggin during games…

Jeffery, why don’t you look up the definition of dractic…maybe it would increase your vocabulary.

Wow…a word so rare only one person knows it. And we’re so lucky to have that genius on the blog

That was very funny. You had me going for a moment there. I am thinking, well, I need to add a new word to my vocabulary.
I guess I am a bit gullable, OK.

Bat LaRo 4th and BMac 5th you dumb knocker!

wish “The Sopranos” would come back. But then again, I think Tony was wacked.
