This is not a team, it is like computer, if one of its parts fail, it just doesnt work at all…………next day, you get a spare and it works full speed.

There are no grays for this atlanta team, it is full speed or not working at all.

McFann, You were right and I was wrong. After some internet research, I discovered that the “you don’t make friends with salad” line is indeed from The Simpsons. My apologies. No more Bobby, I was just trying to emphasize the point that the Braves’ lineup was constructed with flaws. Hopefully that will be rectified this winter.

bravesgrl4life I’ve asked my husband for a jersey for Christmas. It must might have to be McCann’s. Was thinking Hanson, but I might be changing my mind on that.

Good choice! I got mine for Christmas in ‘07. I’ve gotten more wea out of this shirt than any shirt I’ve ever owned, I would guess… :)

Supes I fully expect B-Mac to lead the club in RBI’s this year.

Wouldn’t be surprised. He did it last year (which is partly why he’s batting cleanup this year. )

I had brian penciled in for 20+HR, 35+ Doubles and 85+RBI when the season started.

Well, looks like he’s gonna make that! But hopefully he hits quite a few more doubles, ’cause he’s got 30 now…

I miss Skip, Pete and Ernie. Most of the years those guys were calling the game, the team just wasn’t very good. They knew it and the fans knew it.

Boog, Joe, Chip and anyone else associated with the broadcasts (Powell and Sutton)spend each evening telling us just how close the team is to being a threat for the playoffs.

At least there was a sense of reality with Skip and crew.

I saw the introductions to a Curacao game, and most of the kids had JJ and Andruw Jones as their favorite players.

What I don’t understand is how so many of these kids have ARod and Pujols as their favorite players. Several GA kids too. I mean… when I was that age, my favorite players were Fred McGriff, Chipper Jones, and Javy Lopez. Irresponsible parents letting their kids be such frontrunners.

Oh, and hey, ARod’s a cheater… Manny too. Kids these days…

If Diaz had a bit more plate discipline, he might make a good lead-off guy. His average is usually good, and if he did not take a crazy-man swing each and every at bat, he could get some deeper counts. Then again, he usually gets a hit after his crazy-man swings.

StingerSplash, haven’t heard that CD.

You who like blues-influenced rock with an edge, there’s a new (at least new to the States) British band called Band of Skulls (sounds like a ride at Disney or something, doesn’ t it?) that put out a solid debut. They sound like Led Zep one minute, White Stripes the next, and also like The Kills or Yeah Yeah Yeahs (when the girl in the band sings lead).
