Braves have obviously given up. This is pathetic.
lol jeffrey, perfect. Thank you.
August 26th, 200910:20 pm
Scared the hell out of my dog when that started playing lol
Brian McCann now has given up the same number of runs that he has produced tonight. Woohoo!!!
This just in: John Smoltz goes on 15 DL after straining his oblique while laughing hysterically watching the Braves game. Starting from the 6th to the end of the game.
Base hit Kouz C’mon!
And for Joe:
Let Roachy mop up and get the last out.
I really want to see a brawl.
August 26th, 200910:21 pm
Did I celebrate the dozen yet? I don’t recall.
Bad news bears turned it around and at least made a run in the post season if I remember right. These Bad News Braves I have watched since the 6th inning are going nowhere but the golf course
Frenchy is hitting .321 in the 4 hole for the season and .500 as a pinch hitter. Maybe Bobby was just not using his potential.
David O’Brien…………..please dont forget to post what is sure to be Bobby Cox’s post game quote, “We couldnt play any better then this, we almost had them.” in your post game wrap.
Chipper is looking deader than that body they found at his ranch
A brawl would be awesome.
AN OUT AT THE PLATE! GET OUT!
I thought we were playing the Padres, when did the Chargers show up.
FANS - STAY AWAY FROM TURNER FIELD
NO FANS AT TURNER – CHECK!
MANAGER SCREWING WITH THE LINEUPS STILL IN AUGUST – CHECK!
TEAM PLAYING WITH NO HEART – CHECK!
ALL STAR CATCHER GETTING FAT – CHECK!
CHIPPER SUCKS BUT CONTINUES TO PLAY – CHECK!
PLAYOFF CHASE OFFICIALLY OVER – CHECK!
Where is Wren? Braves fans deserve answers on whats in store for this team!!!!!
It looked like Gonzalez was safe.
That’s HUGE!!!!! 9 does it.
How sad is it… that the Padres gave us an out… cause they felt bad?
I mean… it can’t get worse, right?
August 26th, 200910:22 pm
The guy was SAFE at home on the replay
Gonzalez was out. He didn’t give a damn. It showed.
Maybe we could go with a 4-man rotation the rest of the year with JJ, JV, TH Jr., and TH Sr. ?
Yay! Brian caught one!
Not a good night for my mann after that home run.
U Been Padre'd
It’s not too late for the Mets to catch us.
Hopefully the Braves will get swept and put me out of my misery.
August 26th, 200910:23 pm
Our nad-less a$$ would get our a$$ kicked by them Pods. Mark it in yo book.
the PADRES… worst offensive team in baseball… gave us an out. When is the last time the Padres gave anyone an out?
Much like the Cubs will never win another World Series as long as they play in Wrigley Field, the Braves will never make the playoffs with Bobby Cox as their manager.
I’ve wanted so badly for so many years for the guy to get another chance, that maybe even this year we would make a run and tear through the division series and NLCS but as long as Greg Norton is allowed to play for this team without any being held to account for his continued failures, as long as we have to hear Derek Lowe’s ten hit, nine run 4th in New York be compared to a “Greg Maddux inning”, nothing will change.
This team and this fanbase deserves a major dose of reality. The Braves aren’t progressing, they aren’t living up to their potential, they need to permantly cut ties to the past. Frank needs to make the move.
We the fans deserve not to have to hear the same bulls*** excuses and irrational explanaitions for the team’s poor play.
If the Braves are going to live up to their vast potential in the years to come they are going to need new leadership.
RHR AN OUT AT THE PLATE! GET OUT!
August 26th, 200910:24 pm
Soph – Letterman – he was just his usual douchy self. The worst of it was when Dave asked him if he thought he’d be a Yankee he was like “ehh yeah. I kinda did”
We’re standing by for the post-game show where we’ll be interviewing Bobby Cox about the tremendous comeback win.
Romo jersey? Ewww.
The Braves post game show has to be the lowest rated among all the teams. I’ve never seen such a brutal bunch of hosts of a post game baseball show.
Who cares if he was safe? Doesn’t count for cheese…
The post-game show ought to be riveting.
Every time the squad loses one this way they should be forced to watch the post game show.
August 26th, 200910:25 pm
Aww poor McFann is still up. I was hoping you’d gone to bed, hon.
Soph – BravesLove has it up if you haven’t seen it.
a touchdown and a 2 point conversion and are back in it.
Mitchell…you doing okay?
Hey, a hit.
OK, I have no idea what that was supposed to mean…
Clumsy looking team to me. Can’t even beat the sorry Padres. Chipper is done!
Its not over yet!
So much for bravesgirl4lyfe being good mojo, huh McFann?
Lay one down Matty

A question to all Bloggers: After various calling by various bloggers. Is there anyone , after the last 2 heartless games, that isn’t convinced the 2009 season is over?
A second question: The bloggers that have stated that only minor changes need to be made towards next years team. Do you still believe that?
What is Diaz doing, working the count down by 8 runs?
DOB…You tell Bobby Cox that This Group Played like dead fish the last two nights…and he is to blame. What a pathetic display. I have never been more embarrassed by the play of the Braves than the last 2 nights. Sad that these guys have just mailed it in…where’s the heart guys? Don’t give me excuses guys….you overcome/adapt…it’s called being professional and having fortitude..especially when you’re millionaires for crying out loud!
Yunel's Frosted Tips
What a f*cking joke this bunch of clowns are, can’t wait for the Hall of Fame managing Old Coot to put a positive spin on this sh*t sandwich of a game.
Teixeira’s rent a year, now that was a bonehead move. Every time I see Neftali Feliz I cant help but remember that “incredible” trade
Thanks RHR, I’ll check it out. It’ll probably just make me mad though – Tex isn’t one of my fav people in the world.
Just for grins, Frenchy is hitting .310 as a Met. .337 OBP, .516 SLG, .853 OPS and hitting .321 in 14 games in the 4 hole and batting .326 in August. Amazing what a month away from TP did for him.
Okay, yeah its over.
August 26th, 200910:27 pm
Hundley must be taking notes from Brian McCann.
I don’t think the 2009 season is over. I think its on life support, but no, not dead yet.
Yeesh, Mac rubbing off on Hundley?
I want 5 runs dammit.
August 26th, 200910:28 pm
Of all the bad bunts in Braves history, Matt’s is making it’s way towards the top.
When was the last time a team’s playoff chances were killed on a bad bunt?
That may be a first.
The post-game show ought to be riveting
Oh gosh yes, thanks for reminding me. I never watch that but I certainly won’t miss it tonight. It should be good.
Seriously, it might be timeto giveChipper a break. Chipper is hurting us plus he is hurting. See if Cox has the b$lls to make that move.
Yeah, DOB Lew and I were talking about the Diaz bunt. Could have worked but it didn’t so it really was a surprise type tactic that backfired due to poor execution. Still in baseball logic it was a poor decision regardless of the hindsight factor.
August 26th, 200910:29 pm
Who is this moron announcer that feels sorry for the Mets ?
Not Chipper again. Put an end to this.
Great idea to hit Norton instead of Infante in a clutch situation. The .143 batting average is always better than the .310 batting average, especially in an important situation.
Maybe Chipper can hit a 9 run walk-off homer
LOL walking someone with an 8 run lead. Dude, just end it.
Oh c’mon Webb….end this crap will ya!
August 26th, 200910:30 pm
Soph, I’m doing just fine.
I’m ready for the Braves to assume their new role as spoilers.
At least I’ll be able to enjoy watching my Dallas Cowboys open up their new stadium on the NFL Ticket this year. I feel that Tony Romo is primed for a big year this year, along with the best tight end in football, Jason Whitten. Dude catches everything, and will be Romo’s main target now that T.O. was let go.
August 26th, 200910:31 pm
I’m telling you… Chipper’s close to breaking out of the slump.
8/26/09 Braves season ended by the Padres! Pitiful, see ya @ spring training!
N8: “Just don’t want him managing my favorite team anymore (pretty much the same stance I’ve had since about 1998 when Danny Bautista was a “key player” on that playoff roster).”
N8 dont forget Tony Graffanino lol
DOB…You tell Bobby Cox that This Group Played like dead fish the last two nights…and he is to blame.
LOL! Yeah DOB, you tell him!
They are not going to mail it in this year. They will play well tomorrow and battle the Phils over the weekend. McLouth gets back on Monday and they will play competitive baseball in September. They won’t mail it in, the pitching will keep us in most games. No playoffs though and build on next year. Things are on the rise for this team, should be a interesting off season though.
Chipper is hitting ‘em hard. He’s putting a good swing on the ball. Can’t think of any more Bobby-isms right now.
Braves players can now confirm their October vacation plans!!!!!!
August 26th, 200910:32 pm
DAMMIT. Stupid heap. I wanted to lose by 8.
Yay, 5 runs! 6 would be fine with me too.
Yo Norton got to go, I dont give a flying f$%k what he did last year or if he resigned with the Braves for less, call up Barbaro Cañizares NOW. And give Chipper 2 days off or send him to the shooting range, Hooters, or his Ranch or SOMETHING
Braves’ postseason hopes take a hit…right in the nads.
Don’t you dare get all professional here, Loaf.
So has Brian broke even on runs given up/allowed? 4-4 sounds about right, right?
Maybe GA can hit a triple and get Mac home.
I had to come back to see the bottom of the 9th. oooooh me….
Why did Brian have to prolong this game by driving in a run???
August 26th, 200910:33 pm
Folks its pretty clear where the responsibility for Norton lies…If Wren would do his job and release him Cox couldnt play him.
How bout Otis my main man’s bunt to end the series?
whew… glad that’s over
Eh, 5 runs then, ok.
August 26th, 200910:34 pm
Maybe that dead body they found on Chipper’s ranch was the body double that was hitting for him the first half of the season.
Give Bobby a backhand slap for us. Tell him that he’s an old SOB who isn’t worth a damn. Tell him that Robert sent you.
Zzzz……….I’m going to bed. Can’t watch this massacre anymore…if you’ve seen it once, you’ve seen all you need to see.
Did the Padres double their season run total tonight?
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
