Where is Wren? Braves fans deserve answers on whats in store for this team!!!!!
Much like the Cubs will never win another World Series as long as they play in Wrigley Field, the Braves will never make the playoffs with Bobby Cox as their manager.
I’ve wanted so badly for so many years for the guy to get another chance, that maybe even this year we would make a run and tear through the division series and NLCS but as long as Greg Norton is allowed to play for this team without any being held to account for his continued failures, as long as we have to hear Derek Lowe’s ten hit, nine run 4th in New York be compared to a “Greg Maddux inning”, nothing will change.
This team and this fanbase deserves a major dose of reality. The Braves aren’t progressing, they aren’t living up to their potential, they need to permantly cut ties to the past. Frank needs to make the move.
We the fans deserve not to have to hear the same bulls*** excuses and irrational explanaitions for the team’s poor play.
If the Braves are going to live up to their vast potential in the years to come they are going to need new leadership.
Soph – Letterman – he was just his usual douchy self. The worst of it was when Dave asked him if he thought he’d be a Yankee he was like “ehh yeah. I kinda did”
A question to all Bloggers: After various calling by various bloggers. Is there anyone , after the last 2 heartless games, that isn’t convinced the 2009 season is over?
A second question: The bloggers that have stated that only minor changes need to be made towards next years team. Do you still believe that?
DOB…You tell Bobby Cox that This Group Played like dead fish the last two nights…and he is to blame. What a pathetic display. I have never been more embarrassed by the play of the Braves than the last 2 nights. Sad that these guys have just mailed it in…where’s the heart guys? Don’t give me excuses guys….you overcome/adapt…it’s called being professional and having fortitude..especially when you’re millionaires for crying out loud!
What a f*cking joke this bunch of clowns are, can’t wait for the Hall of Fame managing Old Coot to put a positive spin on this sh*t sandwich of a game.
Just for grins, Frenchy is hitting .310 as a Met. .337 OBP, .516 SLG, .853 OPS and hitting .321 in 14 games in the 4 hole and batting .326 in August. Amazing what a month away from TP did for him.
Seriously, it might be timeto giveChipper a break. Chipper is hurting us plus he is hurting. See if Cox has the b$lls to make that move.
Yeah, DOB Lew and I were talking about the Diaz bunt. Could have worked but it didn’t so it really was a surprise type tactic that backfired due to poor execution. Still in baseball logic it was a poor decision regardless of the hindsight factor.
Great idea to hit Norton instead of Infante in a clutch situation. The .143 batting average is always better than the .310 batting average, especially in an important situation.
At least I’ll be able to enjoy watching my Dallas Cowboys open up their new stadium on the NFL Ticket this year. I feel that Tony Romo is primed for a big year this year, along with the best tight end in football, Jason Whitten. Dude catches everything, and will be Romo’s main target now that T.O. was let go.
N8: “Just don’t want him managing my favorite team anymore (pretty much the same stance I’ve had since about 1998 when Danny Bautista was a “key player” on that playoff roster).”
