You know what I can’t wait for? This Sunday night, all the homers will be complaining about the “lovefest” that Joe Morgan and Jon Miller will have for the Phils, and not giving the same love to the Braves.

No, it’s not just you. I don’t ever root against my team. I DO however, take great comfort in coming on here during these games and listening to all these arm chair general managers who are never, ever going to be satisfied, no matter what. These people complaining about Bobby Cox? They’ll be pining for him after the next manager loses his first game. It’s a joke. I used to come on here to discuss the game and vent myself. Then I realized there is no rational arguing with most of these bloggers. Now I come on here to get some laughs during a bad game at the expense of all the miserable people on here.

No Chipper will be on the hunting disabled list for October due to a left oblique injury. He may get Diory Hernandez or even Greg Norton to fill in for him though.

Not a chance in hell my friend. I griped about Marty Shottenheimer in KC as well, after the 6th or 7th season of dominating the regular season and choking in the playoffs year after year. Was happy when he “resigned” and have never ONCE wished he was back coaching my Chiefs.
He too might be in the NFL HOF some day as a coach, but that doesn’t mean he’s the right guy right NOW for the job.
I can’t wait until Bobby is gone, and if the team goes 0-162 in the season after which he is done, it won’t make me wish him to be back.
Just thought I’d clarify that. Don’t dislike the guy. Just don’t want him managing my favorite team anymore (pretty much the same stance I’ve had since about 1998 when Danny Bautista was a “key player” on that playoff roster).

What does it take to get ride of Manny Acosta and Greg Norton? The guys consistently fail, no reason to still be on the team, none whatsoever.
Greg Norton’s batting average is so low, that it can’t get below .143, no matter what he does it sits at .143, lol.

Matt Diaz does play the worst RF I have ever seen. His 2 for 3 with a walk is great, but missing a relatively easy ball in RF that started the run scoring.
Also, don’t understand why people play David E so deep, they should be playing with 9 infielders.

Looks like the Braves are going to officially be out of it by the end of the weekend. It would not suprise me if they start a long losing streak. When October comes around, I would like to see some young players playing who are hungrier to win. This team has no personality. They have been very boring to watch and I still spend money going to the games. Am I insane? 18 games that I dedicated my time to support this lousy team. Well, there is always next year. Frank, please continue with the elimination process of getting rid of the HAS-BEEN (CHIPPER,BOBBY,GA,LOWE), NEVER-WILL BE (KJ, NORTON,ACOSTA).

If Frank Wren caves in and re-signs Bobby Cox to manage in 2010, then his moves in the off season will go for naught. I would love to see Frank Wren hire a manager who will manage the players that he gives them in a proper way.
I’m just disappointed that Frank Wren couldnt have completely followed through with his vision for this year. Bobby just had to have his way. While sticking with Peter Moylan seems to have paid off (I would have rather seen Moylan start off the year in Triple A)…………sticking with Francoeur, Kelly, Bennett, and Greg Norton cost the Braves dearly.this year.
Meanwhile, the Padres are just teeing off on Braves pitching. The last 4 innings have been brutal. Cruising through 5 innings and then a complete MELTDOWN. This is pathetic.

My point being, some people will never, ever be satisfied, no matter what. There will always be something to complain about, and even if there really isn’t, they will find something. I’m not being mean or rude, but that’s pretty much the guy you come across to be.
