Never have understood why all the admiration for Bobby Cox The man gets his team in a position to challenge for a wild card. Then, just like the old days, he cannot get them motivated to beat one of the worst two or three teams in the majors…the PADRES. For crying out loud, this old man must think the only games that count are the ones against the contenders?! I am so sick of his poor game management skills and inability to get the most out of a player. He leaves it up to them to play well. The total antithesis of Billy Martin. And his coaches are pretty weak and non-expressive (like Terry Pendleton). No aggressiveness, no spirit, just that coy attitude of “Chipper” who bats .300 consistently (unless there is someone in scoring position). Unreal.

Paul Lentz: “Pete………why would Bobby pinch run for McCann in the bottom of the 9th, but not Garret?”
Again I understand your arguement about running for GA, but not for one of the reasons you stated, which was to stay out of a potential double play.

Somebody will surely tell me to lay off O’Flaherty and try to defend him but I’m sorry, this guy has never been good.

I’ve never seen anything from him to be impressed with. That was one of the worst relief appearances I’ve seen in years.

There have been many, it was just one but just about as bad as it gets.

I’m sure that Frank Wren will address the lack of quality defense in the corner outfield positions in the off season.

For the first time, I’m in favor of Tim Hudson returning to the rotation when he is activated. Might as well audition him so they can decide what to do with him in the off season. Improving the lack of power and defense in the outfield is a MUST by Frank Wren.

Seriously, any team that looks this pathetic against the Padres should not even for a second believe they have a shot at the playoffs. The Braves sure know how to disappoint people don’t they? Thankfully the NFL season will start soon, because I have had enough of these losers we call the Atlanta Braves. For me, here is the new Tomahawk Chop.

No No No Oh Oh Oh, No, No, No, Oh, Oh, Oh. What a pathetic excuse for a team these Braves are. I won’t even waste my time or money watching these losers next season. I may turn their game on if its on free TV, but no more paying good money to watch them completely fall on their faces. BTW, Tell Eric O’ Flaherty when he sticks his fingers in his mouth after getting the ball back to go a little further and make sure they get stuck.

3/4 of this team should be replaced by next season, and most of not all the coaching staff. Fire Cox and replace him with Ned Yost. Get rid of McDowell and replace him with either Mazzone or Maddux. Get rid of Pendleton and replace him with anyone that has a clue. The only coaches I would care if they stayed or left is Hubbard and Perez.

This team needs a complete shakeup. Bobby Cox has run his course and has worn out his welcome. This team needs a pick me up and it will never happen as long as Cox is here. When a manager puts a guy in to pitch hit with the game on the line whose BA is lower then the price of a candy bar (Norton) then its time to go because you obviously can’t make a smart decision.
