Who gives a frak about Francine’s comments. He’s just bitter that he’s on a team headed toward a downright spiral, while the Braves are finally on the upswing and will be better than the Mets!
The “magic is gone”, well Jeff thank you very much for pointing out the obvious. May I add that you SUCKING it up for 18 months was probably a big reason for it. You sucked the life out of Braves fans, they lost the will to do the “chop” after watching you go 2-25 or whatever the frak it was with the bases loaded in 2008.
Oh how I hope the Mets sign Jeff to a long term deal, to “leach payroll” and give the braves pitchers an easy out 18 games a year besides the opposing pitcher.

For those of you wondering whether Boog will be back in Atlanta to do the Braves game tomorrow. There is a recent invention that you might have heard of, called an airplane. Something tells me he’ll board one and make it back to Atlanta in plenty of time for the game.

RANDOM: agree with your 9:02 and thanks for having the guts to post it. I’ve thought that several times after CR or DOB say something like “look at our actual Braves page”. Shoot, I go there and I don’t see half the stuff they’re talking about, pretty lame actually. It always seems like it’s old stuff or things that have been discussed already. Just so CR or DOB know this and don’t come with a snippy blog-o-tude.

DOB, What do you think the chances are of the Braves putting Lowe in the bullpen with the return of Hudson? He has experience there, and right now, he is the weak link in the rotation. I say “right now” meaning Lowe is perfectly capable of becoming a very good starter at any moment. Personally, I feel as though they haven’t, and won’t, think about it.

Mike Minor threw three scoreless innings for Rome tonight…
Hah! I didn’t even realize he was supposed to start tonight when we went. So I’ve seen his first two professional starts! I have to admit that I’ve been impressed with him and Milligan. Obviously it just took my very presence for Milli to snap out of his little funk. He just needed to hear the sound of my voice because he’s been hittin’ the ball hard ever since he did. What can I say? I’m a good-luck charm!

Mario: You’re right — LaRoche absolutely was not being anything but sincere with his reply about Freeman. Wasn’t being a jerk whatsoever. He had a straight face and just said he honestly didn’t know who he was. Anyone who knows LaRoche, knows that’s not surprising. Dude doesn’t stress about much.

Giants offense is so bad that they will eventually play themselves out of this race. Rox are the long term threat. Hopefully the Gigantes can close out a 3 run lead. 3.5 back sounds great to me. Then these guys get to beat up on each other again this weekend. Huge week for the ATL. Down with the Padres!
