Good call Tomahawkin, I too would like to see the Braves be more aggressive on the basepaths. Not stupidly aggressive, but it is nice to see some steals early on.

Rock On- Look our offence needs to step it up. Our pitching has been as good as anyones in MLB. We are no consitant and its horrible to watch because this lineup when healthy could do nasty things to pitchers.

I think the braves best offense comes in games where they make things happen on the basepaths…
Notice that there hasn’t been a DP yet…If we were playing station to station there would’ve probably been 2 DP’s already…
I don’t know why we don’t play like this against the Phillies. Usually those close games with them are won on the basepaths and they usually get the upperhand because Bobby plays station 2 station and tries to out slug their Juggernaut offense

Omar finally did something worth a damn.

This just in…everyone (obviously not on this blog) but in general that was crowning J.A. Happ for ROY can chill. Tommy Hanson looks like the REAL ROY right now. Guy has a shot to win double digit games and wasn’t called up until JULY.

Did anyone notice the Braves’ three-run curse finally ended in that Kawakami game? They won 3-2, their first win in games this season when they scored three runs.
They lost 5-3 last night, making them 1-11 in such games.

Jair couldn’t hold runners at all during last year as well. Doesn’t speak well for the future Braves Aces but it’s something one can work and learn how to do better. Or you can simply go the Greg Maddux route and be that darn good to where it doesn’t matter most of the time if they steal a base b/c you get the guy at the plate out.

I would say Happ still has the edge.as of right now. More wins, lower ERA, lower WHIP, and lower BAA.
