I am not a big fan of Kelly johnson, but there are a lot of things he does well on the baseball field. Unfortunately he is too inconsistent

I think that is ultimately why Norton is a liability. He is obviously having a poor season at the plate, but when you have a guy that can only play first base in an emergency, it really hurts on a night like this.

i agree. not only is fourth a perfect spot for adam post all-star breaks…brian is more suited for the fifth spot. if chipper and escobar could getting going soon… chipper, mcann, laroche, and escobar at 3, 4, 5, and 6 is scary for opponents.

Great first inning there…good to get Tommy some early runs…
I know, listening to these Marlins announcers on the MLB package is painful…these guys spent the WHOLE bottom of the 1st complaining about bloop hits and the 2-2 pitch to Laroche (which clearly looked a few inches off the plate and in) saying that it was in the same spot as Hanson’s 2 strike offer to Gload which to me looked to tail back and catch the inside black…

Tomahawkin…..well documented in baseball’s rule of 64 from decades of records. Score less than 4 you lose 80% of the time. Score more than 6 you win 80% of the time. There is nothing the Braves can do to improve a wining percentage long term when scoring 3 runs. Ain’t happening dude.

Is it me or do we play better when we are aggressive on the basepaths instead of sitting back and waiting for the 3-run homer…
That sit back and wait for the 3-run himer philospohy leads to a lot of DPs…
I’d like the braves to be this aggressive on the basepaths more when we play the Phillies next. They own us in that aspect of the game
