Ian Curtis, I’m not sure I understand your point. I said they could’ve walked Paulino with two on and two out, no reason to face him with Nolasco coming up.
Guys. Sometime the FIRST pitch is the BEST pitch.
Chipper ripped one down the line that should’ve been a double — guy made a great play.
There are reasons to be down on Chipper, but was f’n robbed right there. Enough with the first-pitch nonsense.
Escobar for Supreme Court, yeah, Conrad is better than KJ and Norton put together until he shows everybody why he’s a 28 year old minor leaguer. Then everybody will be anti-Conrad.
I am so baffled by the presence of Gorecki playing every day in a playoff race???? Is he really the best option in the entire organization??? Does anyone have an explanation?
Kelly Johnson’s offense is suited for the second base position. Unfortunately his defense is atrocious.
It should be interesting to see Part 2 of Frank Wren’s off season rebuilding plan. Last off season he totally rebuilt the starting rotation. This off season, the offense.
Other than Chipper, McCann, and Escobar………..there is no telling who will be playing the other 5 positions (McLouth may be moved over to left field, depending on whether Frank Wren wants Schafer out there…..or if he acquires via a trade or free agency an outfielder to play left or center).
Regardless, a make over is in order. Frank Wren will have the money, and flexibility to make some things happen.
Dr. K, who else is available to start in the outfield at this point. The greater question I was asking myself prior to the fifth inning is: “Why is Bobby Cox once again leaving Derek Lowe in the game? To get a ground ball?”
Our 2 worst players are the ones sucking the most money out of this franchise (im looking at you Chipper and Lowe). Imagine what we could do in free agency with an extra $28 mil to spend this offseason.
If BC weren’t such a player’s manager…today’s line-up could be something like this
1.Omar
2.Diaz
3.McCann
4.LaRoche
5.Yunel
6.Chipper
7.KJ
8.Gorecki
9.Lowe
Did the Braves feed show Lowe tossing the cooler in the dugout?
I have to watch the Marlins’ feed and they showed him hurling it into the back of the dugout.
Guess its good to know he’s as frustrated as we are.
Is not KJ…is not DL…is all Atlantas Players…look to CJ…look to MC….and so and so…what you have????…A “MORON MANAGER” WITH A STUPID BUNCH OF COACH…WHO IS THINKING IN WC OR WS OR WHAT EVER YOU THINK…MY BE NEXT YEAR….IS MORON COX IS FIRE AND ALL HIS BUNCH OF STUPID COACHS,,,AND TAKE OUT OF THE TEAM KJ,NORTON AND OTHERS THAT YOU KNOW!!!!
I also would like to point out the stark differences between Bobby (no sense of urgency) & Fredi Gonzalez. I attending last night’s game and I was surprised but impressed that Fredi took out Volstad in the 5th after he had pitched three strong innings (after a lousy first). I wish Burnett wouldn’t have spurned us, if we signed him, we never look at this piece of crap Lowe.
Burnett’s line from yesterday: 5 innings, 9 hits, 9 runs. Let’s hope Lowe beats that.

Braves73………..Kelly’s streaky offense isnt worth his consistently shaky defense. And Norton……well, what else needs to be said about Norton?
Meanwhile, the Marlins can bring up both Gload and Helms as pinch hitters.
Phillies and Marlins both have multiple pinch hitters who can deliver in the clutch. The Braves……..well we have Greg Norton.
