Original Jon, in and around two stints on the DL with shoulder problems. Doesn’t look like he’s having any problems tonight. Except for a couple walks in the first inning

McFann: Mea Culpa. But that tells you how fast it happened. I missed the first pitch. BTW, it was still dumber than dog sh&&. Sanchez was in a deep hole and McCann gave him a ladder.

As to the comments about the crowd. If I lived in ATL I would be there tonight. But it’s a long commute from Charlotte.

I miss typed I was looking up someones stats and just had a brain freeze. I think there was this underlying compition that Frenchy had with Mac and ultimitly I think thats what doomed him here in Atlanta. I dont know much about Heyward or Freeman but I hope they dont have the same issue.

McFann– hang on a sec. I didn’t say anything about Mac in ‘06-’08, I’m talking right now. I know those teams were pretty bad, but we’re in a playoff hunt and he’s falling short for the most part right now. Needs to step it up because I’m afraid Chipper is injured.

Looks like our hitters do have tougher time against pitchers that favor softer stuff. Have to stop swinging at balls against this guy.

No hit through 4, the longer they go without a hit, the more they will press to try and get one and start swinging at stupid stuff.

CHIP’s playing hurt. It’s not a slump in my mind. You’re in a slump when nothing’s physically wrong, but you’re battling at the plate. Chip just can’t hit the higher pitches right now because of the oblique. Call it a slump if you want. I say he’s hitting .320 with 20 HR’s right now if he’s healthy.

It was fun! Thanks for asking! Since Dad’s a volunteer down there, we got to go on a special behind-the-scenes tour. (He got permission to do so…can’t just have the V’s giving people tours all over the place all the time.) We watched them feed the Belugas “back stage”, and we got to see them do some different tricks. We also saw the top of the Ocean Voyager tank and the Tropical Diver tank and we saw where they’re keeping the penguins while they’re off display.

We saw the other stuff that the “regular people” get to see, too. ;)

Gorecki looked like he was trying to hit a homerun. He should have been trying to get on base and have Javy move him over.

It’s nice that he got a hit in a 15 run game in front of his family. He looks like he could be a good hitter, I’m just not thrilled about him starting in a game of this importance but we have some injuries so, here he is.

Sorry. That’s what I meant to say.

I guess Brooks Conrad doesn’t play left field. But hey, you know who does? Greg Norton.

Now I’m confused.
