Esco,or should I say Ricky. My wife thinks you are Ricky Escobar, you are a little young, and wouldn’t you really rather be appointed by a Republican President?

Of course since the SC starts meeting teh first Tuesday in October and Boobie doesn’t like to manage in October, maybe there is hope.

Wish Bobby had put Moylan in there to face Hanely right about now. Guy’s a great hitter but I would’ve taken my chances with a fresh ground ball pitcher to very tired Javy.

Win? With payroll limitations we have? Time for a Tampa Bay……
1. Bring up the kids. All your studs at AA & AAA. Get them used to real baseball for 2 years.
2. Hopefully your competitive the 2nd year with a cheap payroll and you can sign 1 or 2 good ballplayers to complement the kids to play just .500 ball
3. Then win. With a new manager, hopefully 1 not born before 1885 who can relate withthese kids and at the same time show discipline, start a ballclub who will go for the wildcard every year.

Thats all you can do for $ 80 million a year

I would love to find a way to keep both Laroche, Javy, and Huddy next year.

The thing about Huddy is that he is an ace. And we need one at the top. A guy other teams fear facing. And when Huddy is on, which he was beginning to be again, he is great.

Watching La Russa manage a couple of years years ago, his LF Taguchi was 3 for 3, but they were down 1 in the ninth. The other team brings their right hand closer, and La russa says, the heck with 3 for 3, and pinch hits Chris Duncan, who homers to win it. That’s managing.
