you idiots realize that we are so far back now, that every game is a “big game”? more importantly, you idiots that are calling it a season do know that we cant win every game we have left? i dont think you do… you all act is if every game we play is our last and if we lose, we will be eliminated from the playoffs…
this game is by no means over…even if, and i say IF, we do lose, we can still win the series. we lost the first game against the mets and you all called it a season after that loss… yet we won the next two. we have a ton of games against the marlins and phillies left after this series. do we need to win this series? yes. will a loss tonight mean that we will have lost this series? no.
for the 7,453rd time….take a few xanaxes and dont get behind the wheel of a vehicle. its going to be ok. i promise.

Lesson #1………… you dont win a series by scoring 20 runs in one game and none in the others 2 games………..but apparently thats the philosophy on this team. They might think they add the runs and divide them by 3………..
This game is history……….after watching our team last 5 seasons its really easy to say/know, that we are not coming back………sadly against a freaking rookie………….

Im not bashing Koufax I’m just trying to pose the question of; Would he be as dominate today? I agree calls seem really bad lately but people will always make mistakes its human nature. Its hard to say that Koufax never got breaks because I am sure he did.”
Esco I understand what youre saying and all I can say is unfortunately Im old enough to have watched him throughout most of his career starting in 1963. I would say without question he would dominate today, as he did back then. Dont forget, back then there were only 8 teams in each league, so you had about half the players then as you had today. That means you had the top 200 players then vs. today the top 400 (in each league) that you faced.
Its an interesting debate, and one which unfortunately we will never know the answer.

There are only two pitchers on this staff that have the nads to do so…..Vazquez & Gonzo…..and they’re outnumbered.
We’ll be lucky to win one game in this series. It’s pretty obvious….the Fish just “want it” more than we do. Sad.

If (rather .. when) they go on to lose this game I won’t be at all surprised if they get swept. The article says the Braves have the pitching advantage but I don’t believe at all.
On tomorrow’s starter: “On April 14 in Atlanta, Volstad gave up one run on three hits in seven innings, collecting the win in his only start vs. the Braves this year”
on Sunday’s (Nolasco) “The 26-year-old on July 28 had a no-decision with Atlanta, giving up two runs in seven innings”. And then there’s Lowe “They were one of the few teams this season to hit Lowe as hard as the Marlins, who tagged him for six runs in five innings on May 6″
They played bad against the Marlins earlier this year and at least by looking at game 1, that hasn’t changed at all.
