Don’t tell me what i did or diden’t do when B mac slumped. Let me tell you somthing im a die hard braves fan i watch every game. Can you say the same? Did you watch this team when they were out of it last year? I did so don’t come at me with that stuff.
I know we ‘wanted’ to sweep, but before the series most of us probably expected and hoped to get 2 of 3 from these guys (because Johan was pitching one of the games). If we hold on here, we’ll get the necessary 2 of 3 series win…just not the way we wanted to.
Yea actually I watch every game other then when im at school. I even watch them at work. You dont tell me what I do and dont do, I even watched them fumble through the last three seasons, it was awful. All I meant by that was you are bashing one of the greatest players ever and you expect to win? how? You seem like a guy who gets on people in a slump and its not far no one is perfect even Pujols slumps!
Okay, I think my heartbeat is slowing down. That was a stressful one. Didn’t help that I had a minor fight with hubby about letting me watch the rest of the game.
I am so tired of this team having to overcome Boby Cox. He is so damn rigid and predictacle. Gonzo had good stuff and should have been out of the inning. He walks one and you pull him for Bobbys favorite son Moylan?
Diaz is on fire and you bunt him?
We won great. Im thrilled. I am just sick of him doing goofy things and the team having to overcome him.
I’d take 2 out of 3 from here on out (duh!) – but, this is one of the most unsatisfying 2 out of 3 I can remember – definitely should have swept this team.
You know why Inge has more RBIs? 1. Because he’s gotten 20 more plate appearances with RISP, and 2. Because no one is afraid of Brandon Inge so they pitch to him with RISP. Chipper is hitting .368 with RISP. Inge is hitting 100 points lower at .270. Inge has walked 14 times in 136 plate appearances with RISP, with only 1 intentional walk. Chipper has walked 33 times, 14 intentionally in his 115 plate appearances with RISP. This has caused Inge to have 112 at bats in his 136 plate appearances with RISP, and Chipper to have only 76 at bats in his 115 plate appearances with RISP. In addition to having a far superior avg, obp, and slg with RISP, and scaring the daylights out of opposing pitchers with RISP, Chipper has 6 sac flies with RISP to Inge’s 2.
exactly … Kawakami was darn near brilliant tonight … granted, it wouldn’t take much to be brilliant against tonight’s Mets lineup, but give credit where credit is due!
As Bobby Cox said just keep taking 2 out of 3 the rest of the way and we are in business…. Or did I say that … either or WELL DONE BRAVOS! Bring on the HATED FISH!

No doubt hes one of the greatest to play, like i said all i was doing was pointing out a few players who are having better years if you can’t take that you need some serious help.
Boy, Cox is terrible, he should have pulled KK after 6, his use of the bullpen was horrible, Soriano never should have been in there after the layoff. Oh wait, they won.
Hudson headed to the pen? Gotta think if KK keeps this up, they won’t pull him. I know someone ( I think Heath) brought up the idea of moving Hanson, but I wouldn’t. I prefer 6 -7 innings at a time of him to just one.
Actually, I am glad MB questioned his ability to manage the pitching staff. When he questioned is ability to manager this team, they caught fire, keep the Karma coming.
Don’t look now but KK’s ERA is sub 4 for the 1st time all season. Great win with three runs no less. Chipper had a bad game but other than that good to see Mac and LaRoche continue swinging a good bat. We needed the win to keep pace because its just apparent that the rockies will not lose to the nationals. Did pick up a game on the giants and maybe the marlins entering a big weekend series. Giants and Rockies face off next. Also good to see Soriano get back out there and get the save. Series wins.
Kenshin Kawakami’s scalp collection of big time pitchers he’s took down now features:
1. Roy Halladay 2. Dice K 3. Carlos Zambrano 4. Clayton Kershaw and….5 Johan Santana.
Not bad for a 5th starter on this team, not bad at all.
I guarantee you that KK is pitching for his job, b/c tonight although he wavered through the 1st, he pitched like a man that doesn’t want to go to the bullpen for the rest of 2009.
Good to leave NYC with a win…and the Mets still suck!
